I am still mad that the third season isn't about Gigachad based Billy fricking everyone's mom and them having to accept the reality that he would be their new dad.
It's like the actors were all doing their best in season 1 and then it became so popular Netflix probably intervened and wanted everybody to be ultra likeable and quippy. I fricking hate how hopper and the b***h from Beetlejuice act in season 3. They hold zero regard for their kids and aren't worried about them at all, instead having childish sitcom couple arguments and then season 4 there's the excuse that there's no way they could know their kids are in horrible situations and Hopper is in a prison, but I hate every moment they have screen time now. Finn doesn't give a shit about the show and he had zero presence in every episode so far and then the fricking NeverEnding Story shit is terrible because it ruined the atmosphere completely for season 3 when they kill a few people off 10 minutes later and everybody is sad, when they were all acting like butthole cartoon characters moments earlier. Season 1 was just more serious and the acting was believable, then since then it's been downhill. I'll admit I've enjoyed season 4 though while season 3 annoyed me a few times every episode.

The prison and California sub plot were really bad. They just dragged so much and were a lot slower than the other ones. It doesn't help that most of the actors in California are really bad actors. Brett gelmans character is quite grating. The Demogorgon scene was kino though.
Worst: Mike, will, Murray (SHOUTING MEANS IM ACTING) all of the number kids other than eleven and one, Robin (acts like a cartoon character for some reason), Lucas, Joyce.

the season started of pretty slow and boring with almost none of the "stranger" shit in it and i was worried it would just be a boring season but luckily it got better later on. the last episode was top tier. none of the boring shit and deaf spots and all we got was everything everyone fricking wants from this show. which is the upside down related shit.
the one problem this show needs to get over is the fear of killing of main characters, not even the main kids, but maybe nancy or one of the main-side characters like that, otherwise the stakes seem to low

they show that the things in upside down are from a certain date which is when 11 yeeted 01 between dimensions. but the mind flayer and shit seem to exist for much longer than that, so did 11 merge our world with the upside down dimension or some shit?
My understanding of it is that their power is likely linked to the upside down, and Eleven's instability just opened a portal to it. But the reason it reflects the town is due to the people there having a connection to the real world.
I could be way off, it just doesn't make sense to me that Eleven would be responsible for it existing.
well the upside down covers the whole planet, there will be portal in russia too, it seems like pretty ustable lore, like why was 01 tossed into interdimensional space when all other portals connect to ground? in fact the 01 portal is the same portal they go into in the research building and it just connects to ground as well
DnD shit, the upside down is another reality that is likely formless or just not a mirror of reality until it got the connection to Hawkins. When 01 was sent there, it created the version of it the kids have explored due to its physical link to it. The later portals are opened from 01, who has had a physical connection to Hawkins too, so he can use that to find his way "around" Hawkins and open portals. They connect to the ground because that's how it has developed with 01 and 11. But, again, this is just speculation really. It makes sense to me, but I could be wrong.

The Upside Down is stuck to when Will gets kidnapped. There's no reason for it just to be the Wheelers since that's never really had anything supernatural related happen to it.
But then how does Will know the letter’s assigned to each light? I guess maybe only paper and objects are stuck in time and walls aren’t? That’s probably the only way to plug up this plot hole.
Finn seems to have already outgrown the role. On the other hand the writers barely give his character any time now.
It is probably a good thing for a young actor to outgrow his childhood role though. Imagine Dicaprio had to play gilbert grape for six fricking years
Mike has been the worst part of an otherwise fantastic season. Dustin and Steve have pretty much taken over his role as leader. And when Will finally announces his crush he’s going to have to awkwardly be okay with it despite Will knowing Mike likes 11. The only way this works is that Will dies and Mike sees the picture he painted. That’s the only way it works and doesn’t create friction this late in the season.
I wouldn't even call Mike bad when his scenes take like very little time out of the season. He's just barely there now.
It's also less about him but the plot he is involved with. Bickering with Eleven again? Will trying to express his feeling toward him? Those scenes are just not entertaining to watch.
Having Will die this late into the series after multiple seasons of near-death experiences would be fricking moronic, though. It's gonna be one of the older characters (Nancy, Jonathan, Steve, etc). Of the original party, Mike and Dustin are the ones most likely to die (killing the only black kid is not gonna happen lol).

Literally is realistic moron. There's a reason that you want a pretty massive numeric advantage when attacking a position, and that's with relatively equivalent forces. Some soldier dudes could absolutely get merc'd by some spook if he has ample cover (he does) and the soldiers have to breach through a variety of small, easily defended chokepoints (they do).

I think it's the opposite. I think Mike, more than any other character, sounds like he's just blatantly reading off of a script. See the fight scene with Eleven this season for a great example of that.

have everything same as it was in the show, she is hovering in the air, music playing, she is running towards the "portal" away from vechna, but just as shes about to jump through the portal one of the vechnas vines catches her and drags her back and then the music cuts off and we get to see he get broken like the other victims, then her body falls on the ground and boom credits roll with no background music, perfect.

they show that the things in upside down are from a certain date which is when 11 yeeted 01 between dimensions. but the mind flayer and shit seem to exist for much longer than that, so did 11 merge our world with the upside down dimension or some shit?
My understanding of it is that their power is likely linked to the upside down, and Eleven's instability just opened a portal to it. But the reason it reflects the town is due to the people there having a connection to the real world.
I could be way off, it just doesn't make sense to me that Eleven would be responsible for it existing.

DnD shit, the upside down is another reality that is likely formless or just not a mirror of reality until it got the connection to Hawkins. When 01 was sent there, it created the version of it the kids have explored due to its physical link to it. The later portals are opened from 01, who has had a physical connection to Hawkins too, so he can use that to find his way "around" Hawkins and open portals. They connect to the ground because that's how it has developed with 01 and 11. But, again, this is just speculation really. It makes sense to me, but I could be wrong.

The Upside Down is stuck to when Will gets kidnapped. There's no reason for it just to be the Wheelers since that's never really had anything supernatural related happen to it.
The lights work differently. They use that toy shit to communicate in the last episode after they establish the UD is stuck in 1983
But then how does Will know the letter’s assigned to each light? I guess maybe only paper and objects are stuck in time and walls aren’t? That’s probably the only way to plug up this plot hole.

Finn seems to have already outgrown the role. On the other hand the writers barely give his character any time now.
It is probably a good thing for a young actor to outgrow his childhood role though. Imagine Dicaprio had to play gilbert grape for six fricking years
Mike has been the worst part of an otherwise fantastic season. Dustin and Steve have pretty much taken over his role as leader. And when Will finally announces his crush he’s going to have to awkwardly be okay with it despite Will knowing Mike likes 11. The only way this works is that Will dies and Mike sees the picture he painted. That’s the only way it works and doesn’t create friction this late in the season.
I wouldn't even call Mike bad when his scenes take like very little time out of the season. He's just barely there now.
It's also less about him but the plot he is involved with. Bickering with Eleven again? Will trying to express his feeling toward him? Those scenes are just not entertaining to watch.
Having Will die this late into the series after multiple seasons of near-death experiences would be fricking moronic, though. It's gonna be one of the older characters (Nancy, Jonathan, Steve, etc). Of the original party, Mike and Dustin are the ones most likely to die (killing the only black kid is not gonna happen lol).
