They botched the ending in the anime, so watch the anime and then read the manga. Its been more than a decade since I've seen Claymore. I think its time to rewatch it.

A big majority of adaptations would take the filler chapters route so the studios could wait to have more source material to adapt, or just finish the series with a made up ending different to the manga. Seasonal adaptations were not viable at that time, depending on what were they adapting
claymore has high quality fight scene putting weak characters against strong characters and the weak win in the end
theresa flashback is boring for me, the real excitement begin with miria appearance, it's when the author started to write quality fight scenes
these are very well crafted action scenes putting weak against strong:
clare and miria vs male awakened
clare vs orphelia
clare encounter with abyss
expedition to the north
