The set-up seems to be since he is an extra Spiderman in his universe he is free from the rules but he is kind of a Gary Stu for sure. But that too is the point since nowadays the message is anybody can be a superhero.
>Gary stu >Fails at everything literally the entire movie until his darkest hour >Then becomes a half-competent spiderman and takes down the big bad with the other spidermen
>gets everything handed to him by luck >all of his frickups get undone by luck >everyone tries to accommodate his wishes and pushes him to be Spider-Man multiple times >Gwen ignores two Peters so she can make friends with him >his villains reaffirm him as Spider-Man for some reason >easily beats the villains that killed Peter A, Kingpin just stops attacking and stands in one place so Miles can venom blast him
Gary Stu
He's also the most unique, special of specials, fate and multiverse can't even believe he exists Spiderman. And we're half in, only god knows how much more special he'll get in the third movie
I can’t decide how I feel about it. It’s definitely unspidermanlike to sit there and let someone die, at the same time when you consider modern Spider-Man writing it makes complete sense the lot of them are nihilistic. Just look at how sad Peter B. and Gwen were before they met Miles. It really comes down to virtuism vs realism. One could argue that the whole “canon” plot thing is contrived bs to put everyone against miles, and that the story should’ve been written another way. In any case I do think it’s a shame that they have to lower everyone else to raise Miles up. I guess it’s still good that other Spider people still came to Miles in the end.
>Me: they will never accept deaths >Him: So you say the let people die?
you're thick but not in the good places
see how the next movie Miles will save his father and the multiverse, is not even a spoiler
>see how the next movie Miles will save his father and the multiverse, is not even a spoiler
Of course the writers will create a way to abrogate the hero from any sacrifice.
Miguel is based and his suit is really cool. If current Marvel wasn't so horrible I'd read a new 2099 run but as it is right now I just want everyone involved with the company to be in a fiery car crash and perish.
He's drawn as >90% Black person in the movie. he doesn't look like someone who'se mum is indigenous american or half indigenous american european at all.
All Spidermen must follow some sort of "canon" (ie get radioactive spider powers, Ben dies, friend or family friend dies, etc). Most iterations of Spidermen agree and monitor the multiverses to make sure they occur but Miles doesn't leading to their conflict/civil war all the while a villain in the background is amassing transdimensional powers.
Yep. And to add insult to injury Miguel isn't even intelligent about it. He just tard rages like an autist when things don't fo the way they are supposed to. Zero candor or consideration of any other response to s situation than throwing a tantrum. What a great leader. Can see why millions of other spiderbeings would follow him.
Shittiest character I have ever seen in a movie no joke.

fricking hell
glad i got out of comics years ago maybe 2010 or so, even then it was goin downhill
the hell you say total carnage was comics kino dude hell i even liked the clone saga, i think around house of m and civil war was when the writing was goin to shit, all these writers forcing arcs and characters not being themselves at all
The sad part is, the plot that anon described is not from the comics. It's 100% made up for the movie. Just like the Thanos "muh overpopulation" bullshit. The actual comic storyline was about the spiders being hunted down to extinction by vampire-like superhuman villains. They had to team up to fight the their hunters and a lot of the spider cameos died in really moronic ways. It was a shitty story with an even shittier comic sequel, but they were still better than these absolute horse shit movies.
That can't be real.
Mile's isn't an alternate version Spider-Man, he's post Peter's death Spider-Man. It would make as much sense as giving Wally West the same origin story as Barry Allen
>Mile's isn't an alternate version Spider-Man
Yeah that's what leftoids all agree on. But he was always an alternate universe Spider-Man copycat and he always will be.
>he's post Peter's death Spider-Man. It would make as much sense as giving Wally West the same origin story as Barry Allen
Yes, however, Miles also inherits a lot of Peter's luck, his uncle and mom die before his universe is deleted in Secret Wars.
They haven’t really done anything worthwhile with him ever since they brought him over to 616. Idk, but I think Miles would’ve had more entertaining stories if he was still on 1610.

Yeah, last time it was a complete hellscape last time it was visited. Tbh though I just want to read about Best Reed and maybe 1610 Pete again though. I couldn’t give less of a damn about the rest lol.

I just learned that Superior is coming back and as much as that series abused CIS to serve the plot I really love it. I ignore Vol. 2, of course.
Wait a second. So the core conflict of the movie is "this is something that is holding up the pillar of the multiverse, and I'm going to knock it down because I don't want people to suffer"?
Does nobody read Job anymore? They couldn't come up with a better conflict than THAT?
No, it doesn't hold a multiverse, it only holds his universe together, in all universes there are SpiderMan except one (the one in which the Spider was hijacked by Kingpin's experiment), and all SpiderMan are connected by the Thread of Life/Fate.
When one universe deviates of it, it gets Schordinger'd as non existent because the connection to "reality" is FUBAR.
The only multiversal thread in the film is Spot amassing Dark Energy and fricking up every universe to get more Dark Energy.
????
This makes no sense. Many Spidermen didn't have uncle Ben die. Miguel for example doesn't even have uncles nor defining deaths in his background, other doesn't even have spider bites like Jessica Drew, Julia Carpenter, Mattie Franklin or Anya Corazon. Do these people rea....wait, don't tell me, they changed all those backgrounds just to make Miles the special unique one who will save the multiverse because he doesn't believe in that shit
>miles you need to stop she has a penis >*struggling* n-no >I'm not joking!! >I need to suck her penis! >NO STOP PLEASE you don't know what you are doing, my dick is bigger and I don't take hrt
>Why did they make Miguel a bad guy?
To make Miles look like the sane one due to the fact that the writers are all liberal arts grads focused on pushing their agenda onto fiction.
>stronger than Miles >smarter than Miles >faster than Miles >bigger than Miles
that's cool but who dey be castin as YAAS QWEEN animated series version Beyonder-equalled Madam Web?
You know this movie would've been a perfect opportunity to introduce her (as either a protagonist that's helping Miles out kind of like she does with Peter in 90s TAS or as a villain to take the position of Miguel).
I so loved the part where I saw the thing I knew!!! It confirmed I’m really a true geek XD now I know I’m cooler then other fake “geeks” who don’t know thing in the background!
Why do people shitpost and pretend that Miguel and the Spidermen didn't have a good reason for detaining Miles? Why do people pretend Miles didn't precipitate the entire conflict by sneaking in after Gwen? Why do people pretend Miguel did anything overtly wrong or villainous?
I can't tell if people are legitimately moronic or intentionally spreading shit.
I swear frickers are autistic. It's literally a struggle between a guy who acts mean but is dedicated to saving trillions of lives, vs. a spastic Black person who wants to save his dad at all costs. IDK how you could see the movie and think it breaks down into a clean good guy vs. bad guy plot.
Miles does the thing Spider-Man would've done, but only Miles. He thinks he can find a solution in two days, the rest of them had a year and did nothing. There's no way around it.
Lol several spideys were hunted down in more than one occasion for saying "frick it, no one dies on my watch" because that put in danger the needs of the many

It’s not that the entertainment industry is out of ideas. With the number of writers out there eventually someone will come up with a novel idea. It is, though. >With the number of writers out there eventually someone will come up with a novel idea.
That hasn't happened yet.
Miguel is moronic. You want to play what if? What if is stupid in a multiverse story. Why didn't spidercthulu from dimension 42069 not mindrape wipe all traces of Miles from existence in his universe and the spider cia send his abomination ass back into the "correct" dimension solving the frick up? There's always bs contrived solutions once you open up multiverse shit.
Within the movie's own narrative restraints it makes no sense that spiderglowies would send gwen alone and unsupervised to Miles world.
>mindrape wipe all traces of Miles from existence in his universe and the spider cia send his abomination ass back into the "correct" dimension solving the frick up?
Miles isn't a threat to the multiverse is a threat to his own universe, Miguel tries to save him, but the little morone believe he knows better.
Miguel is trying to stop him from playing with live TNT, but Miles is saying "It won't explode, bro"
In this movie Miles represent what Spiderman would've done while the other Spidermen and Miguel represent the antihero with good intentions Spiderman has to juggle with while trying to save the day.
This same kind of story has happened a shitload of times in the comics.
I don't want to see this piece of shit but I already told my friend I was going and I already have a ticket. Why does it have to be half an hour longer than the first one?
>Fricks miles trans gf and makes him clean the mess
Miles bros......
That's Hobie, Miguel chases preggo girls
>Black personman

Miles is a Gary Stu

he had those in the first movie
He was a Gary Stu in those as well

what?

>O MY ELECTRIC SWORD
>Miguel turned into insane caricature to make M*les look good
>insane
He literally did nothing wrong
The movie doesn't potray it that way
this movie was character assassination for all spiders for the sole purpose of making le black guy look good

He did what he had to do and every other spidey except Gwen know he was right
lol 99% of spidermen (bar evil ones like spidercide, doppleganger, otto, etc) are do or die trying, they'll never accept deaths as "canon"
>just let billions die out of nepotism bro
you posted this yesterday and had a 500 reply thread about it. don't you have anything other to do?

Miguel existed for at least 2 decades prior, am I missing something?
First black panther vs mexicans now this, Hollywood really wants a race war.
MILES IS NOT BLACK HE'S DOMINICAN
He's drawn as >90% Black person in the movie. he doesn't look like someone who'se mum is indigenous american or half indigenous american european at all.
Seeing Scarlet Spider was my shit
Miles can teleport between dimesions at will and has the I win touch that defeated Thanos, Hulk and Mephisto at the same time
>Miguel has Spider-sense
wut?
Spidey 2099 is so hot
>people ITT actually watched the movie
This. Christ the shilling for the first one was insufferable enough
How most is Miles' bussy there?
How many times does Mile's girlfriend have to rescue him?
Someone spoil the plot so I can make b8 posts about the plot in later threads

>whiter than miles
bottom homie lookin fruity
Miles' holes were never the same after that day
You just know some fujo animator shlicked herself dry animating this
I get Migual, but Miles? Doesn't really fit the fujo MO if you know what I mean.
ffs this shit is taylor made for the shoehorn homolust gays, almost as bad as hannibal s3 lol

ive seen here on tv that the "racist" spiderman tells the black spiderman that he will never be a spiderman because he is black
is this true?
It's because his spider belongs to a different universe's Spider Man.
Miguel only wants the canon event to happen so he can swing in and frick Miles’ mom.
Why did they make Miguel a bad guy?
because we started sending the border crossers further inland to their city bastions of seclusion lol
>Why did they make Miguel a bad guy?
To make Miles look like the sane one due to the fact that the writers are all liberal arts grads focused on pushing their agenda onto fiction.
MILES
IS

I thought he was always pretty gay even back in Ultimate?

>He's saving trillions!!!
No, Miles will save those trillions and infinite more
Is not that it isn't justified is just that no Spiderman would go out to make sure someone inocent died for any reason at all
...they would if it meant literally saving an entire universe. Are you moronic?
Miles does the thing Spider-Man would've done, but only Miles. He thinks he can find a solution in two days, the rest of them had a year and did nothing. There's no way around it.
Nah, they would look for another way just like Miles will next movie
