My newly divorced dad has these sort-of pin-up girl looking posters in his house that are obviously ai generated. I think he got them through Tiktok or something. I remember first having to explain to him what ai generated photos were when he found one of the Pope with tattoos and he was asking me if it was real
this ai art shit is only going to get worse. as soon as the art gets closer and closer to perfection, even us, the technologically inclined, are going to be fooled. if you ask me this shit needs to get regulated FAST. i dont use social media but i can only imagine the shitstorm of ai generated content fast approaching
imagine a bot account, generating fake news articles with fake images, uploading them and spitting them out 100x a day. imagine thousands if not millions of bots doing that day in and day out. all completely automated. eventually they'll compete with eachother for more views just like youtubers did in the 2010s up to now. creating more and more ridiculous content, but at a much quicker pace than any of us ever could. disastrous.
