I'm a mid twenties 6'4" very fit good looking crypto millionaire med student who gets hit on by women regularly. I've been on Cinemaphile well over a decade and doubt I'll ever leave.

Anyway my father was absent and my mother was a mentally ill NEET who I no longer see. It hurts so fricking much it's unreal, every day I feel like an empty half baked human with a complete void during which most people go through the normal developmental milestones.

I can't breed because I can't tolerate emotional intimacy and straight up freak the frick out at physical intimacy so obviously KV. I can handle friends hugging me but that's about it. Other than that I feel much happier than I used to but almost certainly have some level of minor depression despite having what many would consider a "dream" life.

I tried not working and got bored after 6 months. Do you really think anyone who gets into med school is going to be different in this regard?

In addition I'm only worth like $1mil and after the next bull in a couple of years hope to be worth at least $5 whereas if I quit working full stop then I would have to take the money out of crypto or face losing everything and being utterly fricked.
Why medicine as opposed to any other job? It's a good hobby career imo.

Challenging but not too challenging, plenty of options to work part time, very well respected, opportunities to work globally and of course if I am wrong about crypto and it crashes to 0 it pays well. There are multiple people richer than me on my course so I'm not alone in this.

Medicine is probably one of the most difficult fields in general and theoretically also has health risks. Thats why it doesnt make sense for me. If I was that capable I'd rather study electrical/mechanical engineering.

How often do you deal with former alcoholics dealing with withdrawals

I graduated this year, so only a few. I just book a bed for them from the ward and the ward doctor takes care of them.

        Would you recommend it?

I would, for the reasons i already mentioned in the other post. As long as you are even somewhat normal, chicks will like you (especially nurses, which some of are very hot. Amazing pay (getting rich of shit like crypto is a total lottery and you shouldn't think that that is making very good money, making six figures is a very good pay), good job prospects. I'm social so i like to talk with the patients and it feels good when i see their expressions become happy as i treat them. Minimal amount of totally useless meetings ect. Even if you are introverted, there are fields for that like radiology or pathology. It think it's a very good deal all in all, and as the other doctor said, if you believe the whole "wage slave" narratice, working part time is easy.

How bad do hospitals over prescribe pills these days?

        Anonymous

Depends on the country a lot. If you're american, get ready to feel the full wrath of pharma psychos pushing whatever they can. In europe it's milder, but still depends a lot on the doctor. I do meet a lot of patients who don't take the pills prescribed to them and then run into additional health problems tho.

how do I get a GOOD radiologist to look at my MRI so I can actually get the treatment I need for my sciatica? two shots and I still have to take painkillers all day and before I go to sleep

Im on the basic state medical program so the doctors Ive been using havent done shit

I really don't know any bad radiologists. You just look at pictures and do some procedures all day. Can't really imagine how one could be bad at it if one is already capable of getting trough med school. Anyways, keep being persistant on the fact that the pain isn't going away to your health professionals, or pile up money and go private.

Chronic pain like that is a very complex thing honestly and has even psychological levels to it. It rarely is a just one simple thing that is broken and if the patient gets told that is some simple thing, he will get fixated on it when in reality it's probably something so complex that nobody can really understand it.

As someone with back injuries doctors tend to have trouble with handling them. It’s all soft tissue and there are not many good treatments, painkillers have their own issues, same with steroid injections burning the nerves do too, disk replacement and fusions are invasive surgeries and place the other disk at risk of degradation fans injury from loss of motion.

Get sent to a spinal physiatrists, and if you aren’t a good candidate for for a procedure pain management specialist
