If you never cared about Beetlejuice to begin with this isn't directed at you, but if you like the old movie and you can't derive even a small amount of happiness at the thought of Michael Keaton getting the chance to play his self-professed favorite character again you are a miserable person and probably don't like movies. Yeah, most of these sequel/reboot/remake projects are soulless garbage, but Keaton has been talking about wanting to play Beetlejuice again for 35 years. He's been talking about it longer than I've been alive. When an actor really loves playing a character, that usually shines through. If nothing else, I'm looking forward to seeing what he does with it.

I don’t find beetle juice 2 really offensive simply because the original movie is just carried by Tim Burton’s effects/setting and Keaton. It wasn’t a deep movie, in fact I feel like most people actually just watched the cartoon as kids.
