I can't for the life of me remember if I saw Real Steel, Pacific Rim, or both in theaters.
Pacific Rim just reminds me of a simpler time. It was right before everything got overly-politicized, before big special effects films became synonymous with Marvel, before ESG and other cancer, when Del Taco was good, and Skyrim mods referenced this movie.
Maybe my life is in an objectively better place then it was when the movie came out but I feel nostalgic for it nonetheless when all the youtubers I watched at the time like BestFriendsPlay shilled for it.
I like to think I'd have physical compatibility with Rinko Kikuchi, if you know what I mean.

Biggest problem with the movie, which I like, is in the beginning how a jaeger pilot who loses his copilot but gets his jaeger back to shore just goes off the grid to be humble construction worker and isn’t a government asset kept in the program with virtually no other pilots

from what I remember its possible to just have one pilot but it also frys your brain the longer you do it solo and even if you survive it you will experience long term health issues
