WB reports they are "disappointed by the game's turnout", as the DC based GaaS can't even hit Xbox's top 50.
So how much of the DLC are they legally obligated to crank out before calling it? Will Wonder Woman's game from Monolith fair better? What studios should tackle a Superman or Flash game?

go woke...
DC execs meddled with the game and the founders bounced mid development. Can you really blame them? This shouldn’t have been a surprise
It wasn't even just that. Rocksteady grew too big, the micromanaging started, and the talent left around mid Arkham Knight production. Even the founders are gone
>Rocksteady grew too big, the micromanaging started, and the talent left around mid Arkham Knight production.
it was 2 dudes that left
Buddy Arkham Knight was flawed, talented workers left around that time to be replaced with shitty yes men, and the "2 dudes" were the two founders of the company itself. Keep up
(You)
>Buddy Arkham Knight was flawed
Due to RS having to modify the Unreal 3 engine to a big degree.
it's typically enough to warrant a sequel and microtransactions are crack for the impulsive people
>Will Wonder Woman's game from Monolith fair better?
Who the hell asked for this? WWgays are absolutely cringe
how in any way is that ""cringe""
>Xbox
>game sales
the game sold 2 million copies, you don't have to cherry pick data to prove your point
Anon, 2 million copies for a AAA game in development for almost a decade is shit.
fake news
>Will Wonder Woman's game from Monolith fair better?
probably not
I mean, maybe the game can turn out good, but if a Rocksteady game with Batman and friends flops, what hope does Wonder Woman have? Besides, they have been silent on it for 2 years and they were still hiring gameplay lead devz recently
>I mean, maybe the game can turn out good, but if a Rocksteady game with Batman and friends flops, what hope does Wonder Woman have?
Because this wasn't made by the same people. Same company, talent left. Plus Monolith was less likely to be micromanaged
I'm only talking about visibility
An awful game by Rocksteady with Arkham Batman was still in a better position to succeed than Wonder Woman's headlining debut

A "literally who" IP and franchise that is of the same genre blew-up and doing so much better despite analytics saying that "Same game, but has Batman" should be the one steamrolling.
I think the era of brands alone being to carry everything is dying out, at least for a bit. It's no longer enough for a film or game to be about Batman or Spiderman. People now have actual expectations.
1 game is good and the other isn't. in fact, one is actively invidious.
That's my point. Companies can no longer just release "popular thing" and expect it to sell anymore. They have to actually make something that is halfway good.
WB should just get Teyon to make mid level games.
robocop was great and they actually liked the source material
This whole thing is made even more embarrassing with Helldivers 2 coming out recently being the same GaaS third-person shooter schtick but using a unknown IP yet being such a massive success that the game is running server issues and the CEO is telling people on twitter to not buy the game yet until they can get more servers running.
The difference with Helldivers 2
>Game sold cheaper
>All in game currency can be earned
KWAB
the game had failure written all over it when it got its gameplay revealed for the first time and then got delayed for almost a year right after
>Will Wonder Woman's game from Monolith fair better?
Not unless they change the character model to have a prettier face and more feminine physique
What's wrong with the game model in the trailer? I think you're confusing that WW with the lame one in the SS game
I unironically believe that a Suicide Squad game could've worked.
Arkham Batman combat with every character having a different style, more grounded spy thriller-esque plot rather than "SAVE THE EARTH FROM ALIEN INVASION". maybe some kind of morality system with a hint of "do an easy evil thing to solve the problem or do the difficult good thing with a chance you may get blown to hell by Waller but for a better reward", writing closer to Assault on Arkham.
I think it absolutely could've worked.
Wb is a parasite publisher on par woth activision and is incapable of leaving shit alone.
There will be nothing of quality under their watch. Its like everyone forgot they demanded a singleplayer lotr game to be filled with orc lootboxes. Their business practices and developer demands are anti-video game consumer
