Summer Camp Island

What happened to this show? I remember watching the first season but I forget what happened. Apparently now there's like six + seasons? Anyone here keep up with this show?

I remember there being a weirdly popular general for it on this board years ago.

Two threads ago we got to bump limit. It's been discussed quite a bit since Season 6 finally aired in the US
I only started watching in season 4 so missed the early reception it got but it's a hit and miss show that I really like when it's hit.
You need a high tolerance for the pervy way women write soft little boys though

      An alive one?

You can blame MAX for it, before MAX(previously HBO MAX) it only gave as 1 seaon tv wise, made it streaming exclusive til now.

HBO is half the reason the show's fanbase died.
Also, half the seasons are just a collection of shorts, so having as many seasons as it does isn't too crazy.
Still, hard to officially watch a show when it's suddenly slapped into some offbrand streaming service that fewer people pay for. The hiatuses didn't help either.

The great majority of online fandoms don't give a shit about official airings and pirate everything. Then maybe try to support the show through merch. I've been surprised by how much the SCI fandom was actually affected by only being able to watch the show by downloading it rather than it being on their streaming platforms

Bunch of animal kids go to summer camp on an island. When the parents go home, they are surprised to find out that the camp is magical and run by witches, with monsters and all manner of supernatural goings-on being commonplace.
As the show progresses, it's more and more heavily hinted that the kids didn't just randomly apply to the camp, but were brought by the witches with a specific purpose in mind, tied up with the place of magic in the world and its chances of surviving in future...

That's pretty good for such a minor cartoon about animal children

Nope, they put him in the last episode to demonstrate that
Somehow he ended up living underground though
