I thought they were going to go with that in the animated New 52 movies before the universe died.

No. Once Bendis came, I decided to stop giving DC anymore chances. The company showed that even when they stumble on a good thing, they will frick it up in short order. I'd rather WBD closes the floppies and license out the IPs to Scholastic than support the current floppies.

It's just a shame that DC has exhausted so much good will they received after Rebirth. There is a "Deja Vu" feeling of Lucy and the football where DC keeps trying to sucker people back into buying their comics, then promptly do things that readers hate. Dawn of DC is yet another one of these silly types of temporary initiatives. However, I get far more frustrated with comic buyers who reward them for nonsense like Knight Terrors.
