Superheros should get more endings and closures even if they're not Canon the least you can do is give the writer the freedom to right an ending to his story.

Geoff Lantern is literally the last time DC was good.
eh
Explain your self now
it was good but "last time" is pretty subjective, that happened quite a bit ago
You're opinion will be accepted have a great day a anon .
>DC hasn’t been good since a decade ago
Yeah?
I mean, probably. But the thing is even if they did chances are probably some new writer would come along and ruin.
I had some idea a while ago for DC to launch some sort of "true ending" book were the super heros can die and actually end their story without someone coming along and ruining and instead of always adding more and more shit on top of more shit their legacies are passed down trough their generations.
Like Batman start working in the early 90's, by mid 90's he gets his first robin and by 2000's he has the bat family and by 2010's he is retired and the new batman is working. I think it would be interesting I guess, not sure if it has been done before. Future states is kinda something like that but I hate a lot of the shit they done with some of the characters.
Peter Parker canon ending
She just needs a half-sister that takes after Felicia.
Finally started reading it last night. I'm having a lot of fun and I'm already mad at how Phil has been treated since Slott because of it
>Superman’s lineage dies with his homosexual son
>Damian Wayne doesn’t want kids of his own
Hal won in the end.
Just treat every run as its own canon. It's the only way to maintain sanity and still care about what happens.
Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow is bretty good. Is there a Batman equivalent?
Only The Dark Knight Returns and Batman Beyond compare.
>Superman's end story has him finally living a normal peaceful life with a wife and kids
>Batman's stories have him perpetually fighting against crime, even when he's old and brittle
What a raw deal
There's also Whatever Happened to the Caped Crusader but I think that also adds to your point.
Bruce is an autist obsessed with crime fighting. The good ending you have to settle for is him being Batman till the day but having a family to remember and carry on his legacy.
>The Dark Knight Returns
This.
There's also All-Star Superman, which is kind of TDKR for Superman.
Whatever Happened to the Caped Crusader does exist, but it's not "What if Batman got to have a grand finale", it's just a story about what Batman means
>In the end, the Batman dies. What else am I going to do? Retire and play golf?
🙁
Technically it's Detective #566 and Batman #400 which are the last appearances of the Pre-Crisis Batman, but it's just Batman fights a gauntlet of his rogues led by Ras.
For Batman RIP, DC had Neil Gaiman make Whatever Happened to the Cape Crusader, but Gaiman didn't understand the assignment or simply never read the Moore original
I like that his run had an ending even though it's not canon after he's done. I'd also like next generation type of stuff where the hero is retired and more concerned with raising their family. You don't get a lot of that with current heroes but an in-universe decade or two makes it possible. Renew Your Vows had such a great start. Shame about that time skip.
