I have my problems with the show, largely related to how they are using the tech, because in the same way that it's highly unlikely that the Batgod can learn an essentially dead language Just Because He's BatGod, it's also highly unlikely that 1960s government scientist could easily reverse engineer highly advanced technology as easily as the show implies they did
I picked that year since it's right after the Korean War ends and would match up with the shows ages for Lois and Clark.
I also think they brought up the multiverse too soon and while a good one-shot joke, the League of Lois was a similar mistake.
Council of Wells made sense in The Flash because of how Harrison Wells and the entire multiverse had already been previously well established. Here, Lois shouldn't have played that character. Jimmy would have been better even if we don't really have a Prime Jimmy in the Fleischer shorts.
The other problem I have is that they are trying to do one hour episode type plots in a 30 minute time frame.

It makes sense. They went with Kryptonian AI Brainiac and in a universe where Zod and that version of Brainiac exist, Zod is 100% going to go "Hey y'know frick this pansy waiting around arguing political nerd shit, they built me SKYNET how about I fricking use it." and would just topple the Kryptonian government and start conquering shit pre-emptively.
It might be going too far for it to be this entirely but as it stands it's the simpler answer to it all.
