Like Goat Licker, he lucked into a collection of good artists that helped elevate the floppies when these came out.

It's poorly plotted and conceptualized in parts but it's not 'terrible' nor 'absolute garbage' but over-all it lacks cohesion to be collected.

If you seriously wanted some discussion, it would help if you gave some reasons for why it's 'absolute garbage' anon.

For some reason, there’s a lot of Max Landis fans here.

The same reason one anon s keep claiming PKJ’s Action Comics was good when it was awful.

Supergays have low standards and will eat up anything.

That’s just one anon samegayging and shilling Dawn of DC books. Same anon was shilling Knight Terrors. He also likes Zeb Wells Spider-Man and tries to keep the Spider-Man threads (and other threads) alive by posting Solicitations to bump the thread despite no one asking him to.

Who the frick told you that?
I read a few issues of it when it came out and dropped it at the boat party issue.

I give Max Landis a chance because he's done a few things that are decent. His youtube video on DAROS being the prime thing, he would have made some money if he'd done more like that.
But a lot of his stuff is just garbage.

And his little one page comic with Mxy was nice.
But that's the problem, he thinks he's a lot better of a writer than he is.
I took a look at the list of stories he was working on when his laptop got stolen, and I thought a good handful sounded fun, but since it's Max Landis writing, he'd frick it up somehow.

The losers who praised this crap comic are the same ones who pedantically insist that the American comic industry is thriving despite all the irrefutable proof that sales are in the toilet...

...Or claim that Eric July (who made millions of dollars from just three comics) and RippaVerse is a failure.

Don't bother giving them even a modicum of credibility...they don't deserve it.

Reminder that his continuation has the following:

    >Kryptonians are plant-like alien creatures (this would explain that one panel in American Alien)
    >Kryptonian scientist Vril Dox creates Braniac computer
    >Jor-El and Jax-Ur created a way to combine Kryptonian DNA with any alien DNA to make a Kryptonian resemble them (this is why Superman looks like a human instead of one of these alien plant creatures)
    >Zod hijacks the research for his own ends and it leads to a lot of conflicts, leading to Braniac needing to evolve into Braniac 13 to stop them
    >Krypton is decimated due to Braniac's war against the Super-Hybrid creatures created by Zod (one of which would eventually become Doomsday)
    >Darkseid (pronounced "Darkseed" in this) is an alien thief altered by Braniac, whom he believed to be a god
    >Superman: American Alien is canon to this
    >Superman formed the Justice Society which consists of himself, Aquaman, Blue Beetle, Zatanna, Riddler, Nightwing, and Green Arrow

      >Aquaman is from the city of R'lyeh and is a Cthulhu worshipper, got swayed to the side of good through Superman flying him up into the sky and having a talk with him during Agent of Batman.
      >Blue Beetle is Ted Kord, a conservative black cop from Bludhaven who uses the late Dan Garrett's tech to become a public hero and boot the corrupt cops and criminals out.
      >Zatanna is an angrier and darker version of the regular Zatanna. Landis described his Zatanna as having been the "personal prisoner" of Lex Luthor and compared her to Christian Grey.
      >Riddler was a Batman foe who stopped a crime he planned during Agent of Batman after having a talk with Superman. He's also the first person that Superman recruits for the Society.
      >Nightwing is Dick Grayson, who moved to Metropolis after the massive fallout with Batman. For a while he's mostly vegging out watching Netflix and eating junk food before he's called upon by Lois and Superman to help with a rescue mission.
      >Green Arrow is kind of the same origin but he's still rich just like in the Arrow TV show and the pre-O'Neil comics; and Landis described him as going from a dudebro to Billionaire Bernie Sanders. He also has a long lost son Connor and for a while had to deal with a murderous board that took over the company in his absence, one of whom was Dr. Sivana. Sivana will eventually get killed off.

        >Batman secretly manipulates Lex Luthor into creating the Justice League, which is made up of Wonder Woman, Flash, and Manchester Black.
        >Wonder Woman is from an all-female cult on an island where they have a Golden Pool that gives women superpowers and kills men, so the cult doesn't think highly of men. Luthor manages to trick them by elaborately pretending to be Hercules and claiming to be a demigod, saying that if they bring their most powerful warrior out to the world he'll let the island live. Landis doesn't explain how that would work other than the cult being easily fooled because they have no frame of reference for the modern world.
        >John Constantine is an alcoholic detective (who investigates paranormal stuff) from Los Angeles that Luthor hired, who discovers the island the Amazons were on, he and the Amazons were later killed by Luthor in a nuclear blast or something
        >Barry Allen is a Lexcorp scientist, a brilliant physicist, but is also described by Landis as "a criminal who got caught stealing at three different laboratories" and a " difficult up-his-own-ass finicky nervous rude guy" who also has a wife and kid. Barry freaks out due to an incident at LexCorp involving Superman and stuff that Victor Von Fries told him about Luthor wanting to kill Superman, so he starts thinking Superman and Lex are out to kill him. He panics and steals some experimental armor. This armor allows him to move fast somehow but also leave a trail of some destruction as he's doing it (I'm not very clear about how Landis described all this and I really don't want to go rewatch the video for this), Lex blackmails him into joining the Justice League by bringing up Barry's wife and kid, and in public Lex claimed that they built a robot called The Flash.
        >Manchester Black is a UK prisoner whose real name is Reggie Black and got experimented on by LexCorp. Has the power to "shoot psionic waves that can flatten a skyscraper."

          >Batman is a control freak who isolated Dick Grayson from the rest of the world because he didn't trust Dick and feared he would compromise The Mission.
          >After Dick and Superman had their falling out with Batman, Batman recruited Jason Todd, a 20 year old military dropout who looks like Dick Grayson, and also recruited a Salvadoran assassin named Helena Kane, and a consipacy theorist/religious zealot named Jean Paul Valley. This goes badly for a lot of reasons, the biggest one because Batman has multiple personas throughout his career, some of which he didn't even know he has, which includes Batman, Bruce Wayne, Matches Malone, Batman of Zur En Arrh, Killer Moth, Owlman, some version of Hush, and Bane. Batman doesn't even know that he's Bane or that the original Bane was dead. Superman does a fear gas intervention that makes Bruce see the error of his ways and quit being Batman for a while. Then Bruce forgives Joe Chill and makes him owner of a diner called the Second Chance.
          >Joker is a black art student with double PhDs named Aaron Scott, who sees reports of superhumans and Batman and decides he could do that and chooses to be the Joker to cause chaos and murder.
          >Harley Quinn is a psychiatrist named Arleen Adams who agrees with Joker's mission, in this one they're not lovers, they just work together.
          >Killing Joke happened and as a result Barbara Gordon is paralyzed and Jim Gordon has PTSD and is in a mental hospital
          >Shitload of earthquakes happen,
          >Joker kills Jason
          >riots are going on in Gotham
          >Azrael is pissed because rioting is going on during December 26 so he starts mowing down protestors until he's defeated by Blue Beetle.
          >Superman confronts Batman and they go through Scarecrow gas hallucinations that unearth their hang-ups
          >Bruce hangs up the cowl after the incident (I think prior to this his identity was revealed to the world anyway)
          >Clark Kent deliberately reveals he's Superman to the world on live television
