Everyone loves the Arkhamverse, loves that Batman, people grew up with that shit and still jack off to it. If you're a lazy creatively bankrupt corporate executive the easiest way to make money is to milk the Arkhamverse for all it's worth. So the obvious paths forward are to either:
>reboot the arkhamverse >expand the arkhamverse
Both allow for constant emphasizing and milking of the Arkham branding. Want to make a Superman game? Wonder Woman? Flash? Just put it in the Arkhamverse to get those fans to soiface over and get free PR.
Instead, this game completely kills off that universe forever. A universe that was ripe for milking for money. It doesn't make sense, to the point where I think this wasn't even an executive's decision, but someone at Rocksteady higher-up wanting to be an auteur and subvert their own legacy
The game comes with a “nothing matters” button built in anon, so I want to know that it, at no point during production, it was ever considered art by anyone working on it. It’s a soulless product designed by money grubbing executives and created by people proud they usurped a company through politics
