Who else has powers that are apparently a detriment to their health?

Temporarily, Burn-Out from Gen13 lost immunity to flames, meaning he'd burn himself if he activated his pyrokinesis.

Has that ever happened to the Human Torch?

Johnny's powers aren't a natural mutation, everything just kinda worked out for him.

No he has the same power as Pyro, total control over flame while also being able to generate flame. He just rarely has any need to psychically control all fire to do cool stuff like turn into fire animals, but he has in the past. Also any flame under hs control will not hurt him. He can also absorb energy into himself and kill other fires.

That page clearly shows Hank NOT curing cancer but instead making Angelica wear a suit that will boost her natural mutant immunity to her own powers. (The sort of immunity that prevents Wolverines from constantly growing tumors, but not Deadpool.)

That said, theoretically, there's no reason why Pym Particles can't have been used as some point to shrink cancer cells out of existence at this point in Marvel lore.
And of course, Wakanda cured cancer ages ago.

There's no point to these kind of drawbacks cause unless you're willing to make your hero a cripple or a corpse there's never any payoff.

Wasn't it a whole thing that Gambit's powers would go out of control and become a danger to himself and everyone around him unless he got Mr. Sinister's help.

Yes, Gambits power was originally speeding up molecules until they burst, and potentially causing nuclear explosions if he was not careful enough. He had Sinister tone his powers down in return for killing morlocks. The cartoon and later books assumed his power was just injecting energy into things until they blew up.

Interesting how a couple issues of New Warriors portrayed her as possibly the most powerful fire mutant. mostly because she is not really fire, but heat based so she can use it in space and there is really no limit to the output either. any other fire person cannot keep a flame going in space and usually runs out of energy. Firestar is more about electron control than making or controlling fire.

Doesn't that basically make her a Marvel? Like Carol and Monica?

His villain Hotstreak doesn't have pyrokinesis, he's a speedster who uses friction to produce flames.

Spider-Man's radioactive spider blood makes him sensitive to certain chemicals and his spider-sense causes him pain, potentially to the point of temporarily crippling him if a threat is severe enough (although at that point he's so incredibly fricked it just amounts to his last moments being in utter agony rather than lasting damage).

Diamond Lil from Alpha Flight needed surgery to remove breast cancer but her invulnerable skin was stopping it.
The Whizzer had to sleep to process the fatigue poisons his superspeed created.
Magneto is driven insane by overusing his power, the parallel made was like a power line carrying too much electricity.
Cyclops can't turn his eyebeams off.
    Rogue can't touch anyone.
Jack of Hearts could destroy the biosphere if he uses too much power.
White Heron's time control kicks back, after using too much superspeed she becomes a statue.
Wally West used to have to eat constantly to feed his metabolism.
Ajax from the Pantheon had to wear armour to support his bones.
Inphase from Forerunners had a brain that worked at superspeed, but he couldn't talk slow enough to be understood, and if his eyes were covered he'd fall asleep from sensory deprivation.
Hardbody from Next Men was invulnerable, but had no sense of touch and her body was bleached white because she was invulnerable to sunlight.
Brawn from Next Men couldn't control his strength and had to wear an exoskeleton to hold himself back.
Scanner from Next Men could see in all electromagnetic frequencies, but had to use goggles to tune into one section at a time.
Blade from Brats Bizarre had to stay drunk to use her alcohol-fuelled flame powers.
Dillinger from Brats Bizarre was mute because his vibration powers destroyed his vocal chords when he cried as a baby.
All the SHOC troopers from Marshal Law were sadists because their pain sense was cut off by a biochip, making them want to inflict pain on others to see what they were missing.
Doctor Solar was radioactive in the Golden Key comics.
Wallop from Clan Destine is a berserker.
Hex from Clan Destine cannot turn his hypersenses off.
In The Last Avengers Story, Wasp is shrinking uncontrollably and Reed Richards is floppy and needs an exoskeleton to walk.
Strong Guy is in constant pain and cannot return to normal size.
Maul from WildC.A.T.s got dumber the bigger he grew.

So much for being the next step in evolution.
A pity too, cause she was the only mutie I actually liked.
