They didn't even just rebuild it, it's part of the lore that they developed a bunch of different variations from it. They just handed an extra unit that was lying around to the Argama because what else were they going to do with it, lock it in an underground lunar vault?
There's the Hyaku Shiki, Hyaku Shiki Kai, Full Armor Hyaku Shiki Kai, Land Combat Hyaku Shiki Kai, Hyaku Shiki Kai MP type, and god knows what else they made.
This never sat right with me. Not only was it a FAILED prototype of the Delta Gundam (yeah yeah muh transformations don't really matter whatever), I also remember reading somewhere that the anti-beam coating that gave it its golden color was super expensive. Seems stupidly expensive to apply that shit on all your testbed suits.

I think the whole transformable thing is a meme pushed by Anaheim not because they're more effective but because they look impressive and cost much more to build. Maybe Londo Bell can get away with a Delta Plus and a few ReZELs for hit and run spec ops but as we saw in Unicorn, the ReZEL and even the Delta Plus aren't great frontline units. I'm not even convinced the ReZEL outperforms the Jegan

Nah, her getting discharged was the best course of action for her. Bright knew she signed on to the AEUG because of Kamille, she was the resident babysitter, an average pilot in a testbed of a machine (there should've been an operation to capture some enemy Barzams if the Argama wanted some updated mobile suits), and once Kamille got Scirocco'd Fa's will to fight faded hard. Bright leaving without her let her go to Kamille's side, where she really wanted to be and where she needed to be at that point.

I was gonna ask something about why the Methuss needed six beam sabers, but while searching for that I found a claim from the original 1/144 Methuss manual that says that its beam sabers have an alternate heat hawk blade mode. All other references to this only cites the same manual. Has this ever been depicted in any other media?
Maybe they run on their own power which is a ahort duration. I doubt that the Methuss has the cabability to support powering beam weapons
