>If it makes you happy,Disney,CN and Netflix always rejects her show ideas, recently she mentioned that her fourth Netflix pitch was axed.
Good
She and the baby can live off Bobby
With Dana is the same, badmouthing her employers and being incredibly difficult to work with no wonder if the "TOH does not fit the DIsney brand" argument they gave her was just a scapegoat excuse to cancel the show and get rid of her.
It’s hilarious too because she worked on fricking Star Vs.
You would think she would have learned from Nefy’s experience of having to change an original idea for better.
Also are these pitches all based on the same idea? And has a pilot or animatic been released?
I still can't believe 4 different networks called her mc completly unlikeable and somehow she wouldn't accept changing her a bit for greenlight.
Cotugno must have giant ego to not accept a little change

Okay, now I want a rundown.
Imagine if a Anime ends up doing it.... my best bet is Panty and Stocking
If anime starts doing it, then Western cartoons need to start doing the Yamcha death pose.
Cotugno is the principal reason why Star Vs went to shit by the time Giancarlo Volpe left according to Cinemaphile she left to work at The Owl House S1 and left by S1A to work on her own series at Disney which is pic related under the name Kingdom Of Light.
However do pandemic cuts at Disney the project was delayed and by the time the test audiences got to see the pilot, the reaction was that they loved everything except the mc which was insufferable, DTVA asked if they could make Clara a bit more likeable but Cotugno refused by that they ended her overall deal, right now she pitched the show to other networks like Netflix and other 3 new ideas and they rejected every one of them on the development phase, she also had a IP-driven series at Cartoon Network Studios which was axed by Zaslav
She could have avoided all of this and Kingdom Of Light could be having promos and ads at Disneyland and Walt Disney World right now if she only had agreed to make the mc more likeable.
>Cotugno is the principal reason why Star Vs went to shit by the time Giancarlo Volpe left
The principle reason why Star Vs. went to shit was that Daron Nefcy and her fellow producers did not know if they were going to get a third season so they put all their chips on Eclipsa as the bad guy who is badder than Toffee, which in turn ruined the set up of season 2. Not only that, but it wasn't necessary because Disney gave them a third season. After that Nefcy and gang lost the plot because they had no endgame other than Starco, meaning everything in between was just filler.
So no, Sabrina didn't ruin Star Vs., Nefcy and Disney did. And if
Sabrina did do something terrible, it was because Nefcy, HER SUPERIOR, trusted her.
I still can't believe 4 different networks called her mc completly unlikeable and somehow she wouldn't accept changing her a bit for greenlight.

You have to remember that Sabrina thought she could get somewhere by simply existing in thw right place and time. She thought she'd be given a chance because they're "breaking up the boy's club," and that it's studio heads that need to bend to her will.
But it seems she learned her lesson the hard way, but I won't doubt that she'll keep pitching it even after she changes her name to Samuel or whatever.
being trans is the socially acceptable alternative to drugs. Young teens and adults see their friends are trans and think it's cool so they do it too to be accepted by their peers.
This is typically the triumvirate of a show's issues. Sometimes the issue can be put purely on executives, but more often than not, it's due to all three parts falling apart.
The first half of the first season is wacky monster of the week shenanigans before the kino lore and underlying plot kicks in. However the last season absolutely drops the ball and shits the bed, and pissed off the majority of the fandom with how utterly garbage the plot resolution ends up being.
But in the middle it's enjoyable.
You have to be a sadomasochist to enjoy it post Season 2.

its kind of crazy how many shows this describes
I only got on the ride after BfM but I remember it was only after the first episode of season 4 that everyone just turned on Svtfoe. Season 3 was still a decline, but things were still positive in terms of people theoryposting and doing greentexts. The fact that greentext stories are banned is some lame ass shit.
What made people turn on Season 4 so immediately? All I remember was the actual final episode of the series being unanimously shat upon.
it just wasn't a good arc. nobody gives a shit about racism analogies and there wasn't even some specific villain to focus on like with ludo or toffee, it was just star vs racism.
yes, and it was fine as a background thing. it became shit when the show stopped having actual villains and instead decided to go full-hog on the racism metaphors as the entire plot, despite them not even having an ending that logically solves the racism problem.
it just wasn't planned to be two seasons longer and the writing quality shows it
Where the first two seasons had a clear villain, the last two were just filled with shiphomosexualry and muh racism.
Star killed trillions
season 1 is the best one by far (and even then it was just solid) because the show actually knew what it wanted to be and it had the best animation of the entire series (at least for the first 6 episodes before they changed to tooncity)
season 2 drops the MotW format for SoL shit and while i do admit that i liked some of the episodes it was mostly bad. They clearly couldn't afford fight scenes by that point so it was very shallow when it tried to flip flop between sol, deeplore and motw when they obviously couldn't do it anymore
everything past Battle for Mewni is straight up dogshit with no redeming qualities though
Nice pilot. I see they traded in Jackie's buck teeth for piercings and thiccness. Equivalent exchange.
You have to be me
Pilot Jackie doesn't seem to be quite as thicc as the final verison.
I'm glad they kept her thiccness and didn't make her another Star lookalike.
>CN rejected this but greenlit shit like Steven Universe and Clarence
Sad!
Still not as bad as Nick rejecting Adventure Time twice in favor of Meatboy and Chum Bucket.
I've always been of the mind that Star & Marco should've stayed besties, with no romantic tension bullshit. I don't care if they were loosely inspired by Nefcy and her husband. We could use more platonic male/female friendships.
Reminder that Jackie had to be written off for Star to win the Marcob owl.
Stop lying, you shit. There's literally zero e-girl appeal in the show. Everyone is 15+. That's normal sexuality territory even IRL. As in, if you don't find highschool girls attractive, you're gay.
Just because e-girl is named after her, it doesn't mean it's representative. 15 is a grown-ass woman. Physically if not mentally. Vertical growth for women ceases by that age.

She was 12 at the beginning but several years pass
Pilot Moon didn't bother with the fake British accent, I'm guessing Grey wanted more contrast with Valley Girl Jackie
Adam was clearly trying to find Marco's voice here, it sounds more like Marco in the last 5 minutes
No clue, but I wish early footage and development art from past cartoons were what these insiders would mainly focus on leaking. I'm tired of every upcoming project "debuting" on Cinemaphile at random. Ruins the official reveal the company had in store, and it puts greater risk for the jobs of those in the industry. I don't think nearly as many executives would care if the Star vs pilot leaked.
I wanna see early shit from Wander or Milo Murphy's Law if they're out there. Those were some of the last Disney TVA cartoons to get full pilots instead of the short animation tests they do now:
>Ruins the official reveal the company had in store, and it puts greater risk for the jobs of those in the industry.
To be fair Disney is holding on the PR of these shows for some moronic reason, specially with some of them slated for next year, they could have announced them on D23 Expo but for some idiotic reason they didn't.
Doesn't matter. We have more than enough cartoons currently airing. Disney TVA has every right to hold back on announcements. I actually hate that Primos was leaked so far in advance. There's also been one or two dudes who kept spamming daily DTVA threads for a while. It's all just dumb. The only shit worth leaking is old art from shows that are already over.

yeah i'm sick of it too
>i've never heard of this project
It was the show made by invader zim creator johan vasquez
He pitched it to disney and they kept it after the pilot wad made

If your gonna leak anything can someone leak "Very Important House", I really want to watch that shit.
>ShredForce >fricking 2012 >do not distribute >probably can't even reuse the same pilot depending on which company they show it to
Do the people that spend a year or two working on those pilots only to be canned and hidden forever ever see a single cent as compensation
Being a western cartoonist is suffering
You know what?
It makes perfect sense. Think about it? What’s happened recently? Disney layoffs. This is going to sound crazy, but my theory is that someone or some people at Disney got fired, became disgruntled and came to this anonymous Chinese forum to post pilot leaks where they know (or at least they think) no one at Disney will catch them
Or maybe they got fired and simply had them in their possession. Maybe they weren’t pissed but where all like, “Eh it’s been about ten years now (Christ) why not release it?”
True, all of us already know for a fact that a lot working in the industry lurk on Cinemaphile, in fact if anything we should be expecting even more "leaks" coming from Disney as they continue to do layoffs
Disney has been doing layoffs because as it turns out, adventure loreSHIT with female MCs with no straight romance are not popular with girl only with vocal minority on Twitter, they're leaking this out of spite to them
He serves the same "demon prince ex with a strong goth rocker look" purpose, but the design is shit and makes him look kinda greasy andlway too old for Star. He looks like he'd be 25 or something. Show Tom ended up looking a lot younger and more like he'd be around Star's age
She totally is but considering Tom's later awesome character development arc, it works better when he feels more vulnerable from the start, and not some doucesleazer hitting on girls over a decade younger
Does anyone else think Sol had emo eye-liner on him?
Yes, it is closer to the show than the original comic.
Schizo Star is best Star.
>SOVL Diaz >he was a total dick to Star at first >new kid instead of safe kid >Jackie and Brittney were pals and Brittney was also less of a b***h / Jackie more of a b***h >Tom was probably intended for just a one scene gag >no Fat Friend and Pajeet Friend
>new kid instead of safe kid
He wasn't the "new kid," people just didn't know he existed so they thought he was new.

Rafael is obviously Mexican, as for Angie, she's white, but that doesn't stop her from being Hispanic or Latin American. Lots of colonists were white and lots of them stayed white. You can meet pasty gingers in Latin America who's families have been there for generations. Angela is a pretty Hispanic/Latin name, at least.

Yeah i think Nefcy once said Angie is just an american from Ohio, while Raphael is from tijuana which makes Marco a first generation chicano?
I thought Angie wasn’t South American. Isn’t Marco mixed?

They weren't even supposed to be anything other than window dressing, DTV made having them as sidekicks a requirement (which as soon as Volpe's contract ended and DTV went hands-off, Echo Valley functionally left the show)
>new kid instead of safe kid
I wonder why said Marco(nee Sol) should be changed to be a feminized dipshit compared to this pilot.
I remember they mentioned they didn't want to show Marco as someone without friends. But other than that I didn't notice many differences from the first season.
Jackie wasn't so much a b***h as she was just mad that Sol pissed off the teacher making all the students day harder. a layer of character that fits the energy of this pilot, not too different from the disappointed jackie we got in the final version of that episode
The follow up scene also showed Ludo imagining kissing the girls and feeling up their boobs. Out of all the "lore" shows of Disney, it felt like Star Vs was the one had the most "getting shit under the radar" kind of stuff.
>Who ultimately decided Pony Head was an annoying teenager from a whole kingdom?
Nefcy. She unironically loved PH. Whether because she loves to shitpost or not, who knows.
>Nefcy. She unironically loved PH. Whether because she loves to shitpost or not, who knows.
I think she mentioned in an interview that she reminded her of friends she had. Maybe a friend like Ponyhead is more enjoyable to be with than to watch.
She sounded like a deep-voiced overweight adult woman trying to sound young. Yeah, that always bothered me, too.
You'd think that they'd hire people who actually sound young, to play young characters.
Anyone else always kinda felt Star’s voice actress just didn’t fit her character
Nefcy hired Eden entirely because her voice didn't match that of a cutesy princess.
Starco should either have happened early season 3 or just been killed off. What's the point of romance if we never actually see the relationship part. Not to mention that all the pointless "ooo what's going to happen" turned all the characters into either massive buttholes or doormats.
Nefcy said there would be "no story" if Star and Marco got together, so she saved it for the end.
>Out of all the "lore" shows of Disney, it felt like Star Vs was the one had the most "getting shit under the radar" kind of stuff.
I just remember that one scene from the tentacles episode where one of the girls quite literally said she wished it was her boyfriend.
Is there a place to find animatics. Most I found are on Vimeo but it’s only a few. There was one from this episode school spirit posted to YouTube but it’s private

Amazing they got away with that. the hand the frills and wheelchair girls face show it’s on purpose. Shame there wasn’t more
Her and a few animators have a thing for butts based on seeing a few posts. Also one of the animators Cheyenne Curtis is doing a online class about storyboard ing and stuff for about 200 dollars right now
She looks sticc though. It looked like she was going to be more of a recurring background character in the pilot though before something happened with nefcy and her va unless that’s just rumors
God fricking damn, they really made her such a fricking hypocrite. Calling out Moon in S3 about beings made out of magic are monsters too but by S4 they no longer matter now?
>Who ultimately decided Pony Head was an annoying teenager from a whole kingdom?
Nefcy. She unironically loved PH. Whether because she loves to shitpost or not, who knows.
I'd bet they were told Star needed at least 1 friend just like they were told Marco needed friends. Without Ponyhead, Star looks a lot more sad and desperately lonely.
It was pitched to CN first? Man, that would've been sick. >Shared universes become a thing in the future >Somehow cross over CN shows together. >The reason that big hole is in the planet in Adventure Time? Star.
>CN rejected this
More like she was hoping to pitch it to Cartoonstitute but CN changed management and ended that program after its first year. Also, the story as she originally intended it (Star's an annoying chuuni with no actual magical powers) was better suited to [as] than CN proper
They both turned to rancid shit, SvTFOE's finale was definitely way worse (but SU's overall message was just as bad). However, I have much fonder memories of the early seasons of Star. Trooniverse was just a slog early on, got good-ish, had a pretty decent movie, then fumbled. Also, these characters are way cuter which helps.
Sol >gender neutral name in spanish, meaning sun >most common version of the name outside that is as a short form of Solomon(male) >It was also the name of the male roman sun god Sol
moron foreigners trying to talk down an actual latino. Sol is a girl's name.
Then why is it said El Sol and not La Sol?
Alba, Dulce, Dolores and Alma are masculine words yet are girl's names too.
Sol >gender neutral name in spanish, meaning sun >most common version of the name outside that is as a short form of Solomon(male) >It was also the name of the male roman sun god Sol
>gender neutral name in spanish, meaning Sun
What the frick are you talking about? No man is called Sol, that's a woman's name, like Luna, Estrella and the like. >most common version of the name outside that is as a short form of Solomon(male)
That shows how ignorant you are. In Spanish it is Salomón, not Solomon.
We have confirmation that Star was literally always a cuckchad. She starts chewing suggestively on her wand when asked "how she would feel if her man left her for an older woman and does this"
Star vs the Forces of Evil has always been overrated, but it did have some cool action sequences and some killer music: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XaaQ4yKlVgk
Watching this remindme that i wish marco and Star had not became best friends so quick and they had used of marco be more annoyed at Star presence having a slow build of their friendship
I've always been of the mind that Star & Marco should've stayed besties, with no romantic tension bullshit. I don't care if they were loosely inspired by Nefcy and her husband. We could use more platonic male/female friendships.
starco would have been fine if they didn't go the cuck route especially since marco didn't even know anything about jackie he just thought she was cool and hot based on looks and the skate board.
Starco should either have happened early season 3 or just been killed off. What's the point of romance if we never actually see the relationship part. Not to mention that all the pointless "ooo what's going to happen" turned all the characters into either massive buttholes or doormats.
I never watched this show but my understanding of the story based on years of scrolling by threads for it: >wacky random adventures for a while >the lizard guy is the main bad guy and gets brutally killed >Marco dates like 6 women including the thick scissors b***h >racism metaphor of monsters being blacks or whatever becomes the main focus of the second half of the show >Star's grandma is dating a giant demon dude, and she's a villain I dunno but she's really sexy >the show ends with genocide and even more forced romance
I know everyone hates it now because the ending and apparently entire last season(s) were horrible but it was interesting seeing it rise and fall over the years
that's roughly how it went yeah. lizard dude was really only in the show for like 1 season and wasn't there from the start. Marco dates a few girls but there's lots of flirting, he never dates scissors b***h but he does spend decades of time chasing her in a game of tag in 1 episode (don't worry they magic away his aging). Star's grandma was never a villain, she was basically always the misunderstood progressive person, she liked minorities before it was cool and never did anything really evil, just a few things that weren't good for Star. I wouldn't call any of the romance "forced", romance was a big part of the show and felt natural within it, even if lots of people dislike that.
romance wasn't neccesarily forced but honestly it was one of the weakest aspects of the show and dragged it down for me.
It also hurt that there was no strong antagonist after Toffee. Ludo and Eclipsa could have been good but neither were really utilized properly. Globgor had great buildup but again wasn't really used.
The romance is one of the parts that clearly show it's a kid's show basically. For a kid, the romance is a big draw. I remember freaking out as a kid over basic shit like "OMG will teen titans let Robin and Raven date, what about Beast Boy and Terra", I would have lost my mind if SVTFOE had actual dating content as a focus in an action/comedy show.
Sure but I largely don't really care about romance about these shows.
It can add some nice character drama, but it doesn't stick with me. For TT for example, what stuck were the darker moments. Where Robin is forced to work with Slade, him basically having schizophrenia, the ending, etc.
I did like the Robin Starfire romance (thought it was cute) but some of its best moments were where it caused some sort of character conflict.
Maybe I'm a Robingay idk but I always preferred his arcs over most other characters in the show (outside of maybe Raven).
I'd argue the Eclipsa is still evil. Like the way the narrative frames her it's clear that the show wants us to see her as a misunderstood individual who kid nothing wrong but like, no. She abandoned her kingdom to sleep with a monster whose most known for eating peasants, even if she's not "evil" she did objectively selfish actions and put her own personal happiness over the happiness of her entire kingdom. She is reckless and actively ignored her responsibilities as queen and could have been a fairly good mirror to star to demonstrate why some forms of discipline and being accountable is important in life. But you know that would have required some decent writing which the later seasons lack.
None of your points are wrong, I was just explaining it to someone that didn't watch the show though. Star doesn't think her grandma is evil, the writers clearly didn't think she was evil, the plot doesn't move as if she's evil. She's a flawed character that did a lot of harm, but at least for the context of people that didn't watch the show, she's a character where they quickly reveal that she is actually good and just misunderstood.
pic unrelated
I get that I was just pointing out a common interpretation of the character and pointing out a some... I'm gonna say narrative dissonance (there's probably some proper way to say it but I don't know). This seems to be a fairly big problem with modern cartoon writers. They write characters who do terrible stuff but due to the story the creators want to tell they just ignore it, like with PB from Adventure Time or even the ending of Star Vs. Like we all know it's genocide but the show and characters treats it as a good thing.
Yeah, they really drop the ball when it comes to the part of the storytelling process where they're meant to double check if the characters and POV actually make sense. It's easier to pretend genocide is a happy ending and brush past the details than to come up with an actual happy ending after they write themselves into a corner. It's easier to just have the main character repeatedly state Eclipsa is cool and on the right side than to actually write reasons and a plot that place her there.
not enough star vs femdom stuff. i need total star femdomination. Star sitting on my face until i can’t breath. star pegging me. star using her magic to water bend all the sweat off her ass cheeks into a cup and then forcing me to drink it. star shoving her bare foot into my mouth until she can grab my uvula with her toes. star standing on my throat and telling me how cute my gurgling and choking is. star cracking a whip across my back so hard my fricking spine breaks. star squeezing my balls with all her might with one hand while using the other to jack me off, then punching my now juice filled sack so my liquid balls squirt out of my wiener during orgasm. Star putting a slice of bread in each boot, then a slice of ham in her asscheeks and exercising, then making me eat the sandwich after. Star wearing dirty socks to fill up a dirty clothes hamper over the course of a few years, then shoving me in the hamper.
>she liked minorities before it was cool
The book Nefcy wrote outright states Eclipsa was exclusively a monster fricker, keeping notes on their performance. This is the same one where Star lets us know she wasn't actually ditzy in S1, this is an act she always puts on when visiting new dimensions to get accustomed.
Fricking Nefcy
yeah but there's a difference between an implication and it being a part of the show. marco literally dates jackie and the tree girl (I think?), but he never canonically has a relationship with hellashit
Marco didn't spend decades in Hekapoo's world, he was only gone like 10 minutes but Hekapoo's world with the Motor-bike dragons and that Jareth from Labyrinth like character in it had like a time dilliation which I slightly remember, if he actually spent decades there which might been like an hour or 2 he would've looked like this!
bruh you misunderstood a show meant for little kids. Yes, there was time dilation. Marco spent decades in the portal chase, which only passed like 10 minutes time in his world. That was the dilation. How the frick do you think a kid spending a couple decades training would end up 80 years old? He's a school kid, if he spent 2 decades in the portal he wouldn't even be 40.
Well I haven't re-watched the episode yet (or even it in my native language) but I do remember that it was like 10 minutes ment 10 years even though it was 3 years in my native language somehow, if Marco was gone for like an hour he obviously become (or be) an old man in Hekapoo's world.
>racism metaphor of monsters being blacks or whatever becomes the main focus of the second half of the show
They're more like Native Americans if anything, but it's so flimsy either way that it falls apart under the slightest bit of scrutiny.
Also I actually like the Pilot episodes art-work, it looks like a lot my own drawings, sketches and artwork from when I was a teenager and art student.
I think I've read some of that and seen some fan-art by people in the last several years and also the part of I Hate Fairyland that sticks with me the most, is the Trip to the Moon spoof scene where the Main Character like blows off the moon's face instead of getting the bullet from her Bazooka stuck in one of the moon's eyes.
The giant Demon which Eclipsa dated is named Globgor and he is almost nothing like the Globgor(e) of my country's folklore, apart from eating people and being a giant, which is strange for me to say as the closest description of a Globgor(e) would be something like the Titans from Attack on Titan or the Cyclops of Greek Mythology.
She sounds like a thirty year old with maturity issues but you get used to it. We put up with an entire cast of age appropriate VAs in Avatar with Azula sounding like thirty-five year old making no attempt to sound like a 16 year old, so…
Which is funny considering you can tell there was more limited animation than in Season 1. Perfect example of limited animation being better than full yet full animation, which is what the later episodes of Star Vs had. This was made even worse when you consider how a show that was originally about a boy and girl going on magical adventures turning into a drama/love triangle romance show with more than talking and less action. The blander animation from some Korean sweatshop reflected that and made the show even worse
This combined with how much I liked that short period of time Star and Jackie got along super well right before The Cucking set in makes me wish the show went for the ultra rare super double rainbow of homosexualry. It would also mog the shit out if the future Disney gay shows.
1. The obsession of only allowing couples to get together at the very end is single handedly underming the writing of almost all media. By this point in history it's objectively based writing and I automatically dock 2 points for it anytime I rate a show one a 10 point scale.
2. Star vs is objectively the worse of all the shows that do this SPECIFICALLY because the ending of season 2 tricked me into thinking they would do something different. I 100% thought a massive status quo change just happened in the middle of a show. I thought the only way they could undo that would be some sort of memory erasing or othe contrived bullshit.
And then they exceeded my most cynical expectations by literally ignoring that happened. Fricking dug a hole to get under the bar I set. It's still a legend to me. I'd teach that season 2 to 3 transition in classes.
Gona get a job at Disney making another portal fantasy cartoon who's plot is about reviving magic specifically to have a quick three second cameo of star vs ending getting undone.
I think Janna is in the Pilot in the Final scene with MS Skullnick in the Cafeteria, remember that Janna's role was very minor before the crew fell in love with her during Mewberty's production.
hey leaker, if you're still here, post the north woods pilot. Or any other interesting stuff you have. I'm really curious to see what else Disney has vaulted up
https://christsirgiotis.myportfolio.com/north-woods
All the posts on this mention this is a Amy Hudkins show which is bs, actually is a Thurop Van Orman show, Thurop pitched it to Disney XD on 2016 but was passed by the same people who axed Very Important House, the same year.
Apparently the first post for this pic back on August of 2022 hints that is apparently back on track at Disney TVA development for Disney Channel.
It seems the characters got a redesing as opposed to the first desings additionaly this was going to be for Nickelodeon.
Well it seems like a pilot was definitely made at some point in the past. If they're revisiting the idea it would explain why one of the designers took down the page of work they had

What the frick…
Keep in mind I’ve heard industry analysts say we might see animation jobs come towards the end of the year. For all we know we might have another boom period. Also back in the late 00s and early 10s it was mostly CN doing anything noteworthy until Gravity Falls came along, now it seems like Disney TVA might be the only ones doing anything interesting and possibly leading the industry into another boom period. Also keep in mind Bob Iger has said, and this is going to sound crazy, that he wants Disney to focus less on streaming and more on TV and physical media, yes, physical media. I think a lot of studios are trying to spend less on streaming since the streaming bubble popped. So we might more money go to networks like Disney
>now it seems like Disney TVA might be the only ones doing anything interesting and possibly leading the industry into another boom period
I wonder if this has anything to do with DuckTales, Tangled, and Big Hero 6 underperforming? It seems like DTVA may be the only studio left interested in original ideas, whereas every other studio only wants reboots or recognizable IPs now. With the exception of Proud Family & Phineas and Ferb coming back, it seems like most of DTVA's lineup will be original concepts. Maybe the popularity of The Owl House, Amphibia, and Big City Greens may have saved them?
Also Phineas and Ferb was still writting episodes by the strike of 2007 and rn Povenmire mentioned that writting on Phineas and Ferb and kids animation is still happening despite the strike.... holy shit

Didn't many CN people jumped to DTVA when Snyder was fricking CN with CNReal like Zaslav is doing?
What is even happening to them? Before, people talked about mismanagement, now, no one talks about it at all. I didn't think it was so serious because ALL cartoon channels are heavily mismanaged, but was it really that bad?
>North Woods by Thurop Van Orman on the works at Disney >Saachi & Ten by C.H Greenblatt on the works at Disney >All while a writters strike is happening

Didn't many CN people jumped to DTVA when Snyder was fricking CN with CNReal like Zaslav is doing?
if it's not happening, then why did Disney pick it up and why did Thurop say he was still working on it last year
Very Important Housebros Will Frolie get a second chance for Disney Channel like North Woods?
Jenny Goldberg is currently on the Big City Greens movie which is weird for her to comeback to DTVA, but with North Woods being back on track at DTVA for Disney Channel since 2021, there's hope for Very Important House to get another shot
Maybe we can ask Johnen on his drawing livestreams only to tell us to go frick ourselves
He has one right now, now the question is who could be the brave soul to make a fool of themselves with Johnen for asking about a potential second chance of Very Important House at Disney TVA.
>North Woods by Thurop Van Orman
that's been in development hell for almost 10 years, it was never happening anyway
oh shit I recognize that pose
Holy shit, I never put 2 and 2 together. Can’t believe Thurop’s been trying to get this off the ground for that long. I still remember when it was a stop motion feature he was developing.
I wonder if anything was ever animated with the original premise of a schizo Star, or if the show already got reworked before they started animating anything.
schizo star was a funny little comic she made on her own. she would have known it wouldn't become a show, she just borrowed some of the concepts to draw from.
Things that were better in the pilot: Moon looks way hotter, Sol looks hotter than Marco and also has a better personality and a power level that makes him much more relatable, animation is very good
Things that were better in the show: Tom didn't look disgusting, Britney was much better when she was a queen bee cheerleader who hated Star, Jackie was way cooler being cool and also had slightly better design, sound design was better too, but that's expected from a finished product
The memes during season 3 and 4 made up for the actual show
/sveg/ was the last time Cinemaphile and /trash/ had any long-term value for me. Nefcy's Wild Ride from Bon Bon onwards was insane, though you could tell the exact moment when everyone here turned on the show and /sveg/ died a sudden, ignoble death. Shitposting and taking a crap all over SU was amazing.
I only got on the ride after BfM but I remember it was only after the first episode of season 4 that everyone just turned on Svtfoe. Season 3 was still a decline, but things were still positive in terms of people theoryposting and doing greentexts. The fact that greentext stories are banned is some lame ass shit.
Almost nobody cared about Star vs. throughout S1 until Storm the Castle, because the show just wasn't interesting. Eden Sher also gave a demonstrably terrible performance for the first five episodes until Mewberty. That initially set the show up for no fans, especially with the massive hiatus afterwards.
Season 2 was more approachable, but the show exploded in popularity because of Bon Bon the Birthday Clown. I am not being hyperbolic. The fact that a cartoon had the nads to show their female protagonist as: >emotionally distressed that her family thinks she's worthless, but she doesn't stop trying >emotionally distressed that even a "joke" villain like Ludo has the capacity to one-up her >emotionally distressed that the guy she's crushing on has only platonic feelings for her >emotionally distressed because the reason everything bad is happening to her is her fault
really got into the minds of the older generation. For kids, it's just a dumb action show. For adults, seeing a teenager frick up that badly hit way too close to home.
Then there was the Just Friends episode, where Star third-wheeled so hard that the second-hand embarrassment was so unbelievably crippling, Star vs. became the number one animated comedy of the year. Not just children's comedy--ALL comedy. It BTFO Rick and Morty. I am not shitting in your cereal. Star vs. trended on Twitter and Tumblr. It was a cartoon on Disney Premium, and it was dunking on everything else at the time.
Due to its popularity, Star vs. was renewed for two additional seasons at the same time, before S2 even ended. While this should have been great, Nefcy made two incredible blunders: >Subvert expectations with Eclipsa to make her protege, Sabrina Cotugno, happy >Pay back her college "debt" to Alex Hirsch
In S3, after the BfM (where Star earned her win against Toffee), the show noticeably declined. It still had the framework in S1-2 to support it, but by Divide/Conquer, it was foul. The show just ran too long.
>Pay back her college "debt" to Alex Hirsch
Was Hirsch temporarily on-staff?

Haha you know the Kissing Booth episode? The episode where Star and Marco are trapped in a box, and they only way to escape is by kissing each other? And after they kissed Star immediately accused Marco of making her cheat on Tom? After she spent all of S3 forcing Marco to ruin all of his relationships with women who actually value him way above a slave, like Star did? But even though she (and Tumblr) accused Marco of rape she kept the photos which showed how horny the kiss was? And afterwards Marco saw the Blood Moon and felt compelled to obey "fate" rather than his own heart? And they were trapped in the first place because a little goblin trapped them and told them they had to kiss each other to get free?
Alex Hirsch voiced that goblin.

Sounds like the whole episode was an allegory for forced fan shipping. Could have been pulled off if the two of them had stayed friends at the end.

It wasn't an allegory for fan shipping. The writing team were flabbergasted when the fans hated it. 10% said "YAAAS STARCO CANON" while 45% called Marco a rapist (there were multiple diagrams drawn trying to prove that Star implicitly consented by leaning forward) while the other 45% called Star a total b***h, with both together overtly stating that Starco is permanently tainted because of their kiss. This was further exacerbated by the two of them fricking in a barn in S4, and throughout S4 Star is explicitly horny for multiple other people while forcing Marco to focus only on her.
S3+4 Star is very different from S1-2 star, and not because she matured or developed.

Can't forget the show just casually drawing attention to the fact Marco is technically in his 30s thanks to the Hekapoo shit.

Can't also forget that Marco grows up to be a super-hunk while Star grows up to be flat, chinless, and without ass.

Really? Is this because they assumed that fans only wanted Starco and nothing else?

>Only 10% liked it
Frick off revisionist tard, most of the fanbase at the time were overjoyed at the fact that some progress had been made to give Marco some guts to express his feelings and to make Star realize that she still had feelings for him.
Twittards and the cynical "cuckstar" Cinemaphile audience were not 90% of people. Nobody else but mentally ill trannies were calling rape on that scene.
>Subvert expectations with Eclipsa to make her protege, Sabrina Cotugno, happy
THIS is the one thing that pisses me off the most.
All that fricking buildup for nothing, Eclipsa is actually a flawless dindu. Then her husband was build up a little only to end up the same way. We got fricking MINA as the last boss because they threw away everything else, because the real villain is actually RACISM.

Women and gays seem to like Eclipsa. Most of the criticism come from Cinemaphile. Hey, I don't get it either but that's how things are. In fact, StarVs criticism only got general after the finale

And coomers. Eclipsa and Hekapoo should have been villains, but the writers made them good because girls thought they were cool and guys thought they were sexy. The Magic Counsel was done dirty by the writers

What made people turn on Season 4 so immediately? All I remember was the actual final episode of the series being unanimously shat upon.
It wasn't immediate, it was gradual. Season 3 started off on a bad premise (Star and Marco have to see goodbye and go back to their worlds and can't see each other pls be sad and pls ignore the existence of the dimensional scissors), but fans were still sticking with the show based off the good well it had with the well received season 2 and Battle for Mewni. As the show went on, things kept going downhill and everyone's copium was depleted by the time the show ended.
Ludo was straight?
Yes, the same scene was in the Matchmaker ep, except the girls had been redesigned to be monstergirls instead of humans.
You hit it mostly on the head, although I wouldn't say season 1 was that unpopular. There was a lot of hype going into the show and it had some really great animation (especially coming off of Manlet Fall and SU's stiff weightless blob fights) and a lot of stuff surrounding the early episodes, like tentacle arm or Brittney.. whatever the case, Star's third season was ordered before the second season had even premiered, so it was a successful show from the on-set.
I think in some form BfM was also planned before season 3 was picked up and sort of rolled into that production order, but the show could've very well just ended on Jarco ending with no resolution to the Starco or Eclipsa teasing whatsoever. But these things were just intended to be a tease, because Nefcy clearly had no long term strategy for either of them and they both ended up being the biggest disappointments of the later half.

How would they have Handled Heinous/Meteora if they only had up to Battle for Mewni?
We know Heinous was in the Pilot, meaning she was in the show from the get-go but the Pilot implies only Star has cheek marks as a leftover from Daron's webcomic since Pilot Moon has no cheek marks.
When did the crew decide to give Heinous Cheek marks and make her related to the Butterfly family during Season 1's production?

Why do homosexuals like you continue to piss and shit when induction is involved and every single thing Cotugno did, from targeting Little Area to forcing Jackie to become a race-mixing lesbian while on a trip to France (which happened to Cotugno, and which she publicly announced) to her actively sabotaging not just her own show, but also very nearly getting The Owl House murdered in the crib because of her insane demands, paints her as a total psycho who would do the kind of shit that would paint a literal PTSD-suffering war veteran into the final antagonist with absolutely no cognizance on what that entails?

it's still fricking insane what they did to Mina Loveberry and how Solaria got away with everything
Remember that thread where one (1) anon, theorized that season 1 and early season 2 of the show used concepts from the original comic where Star was a normal girl who imagined she had powers and had no friends?
I wonder if I should include reference to this unearthed pilot. It doesn't actually changed my ideas very much; this is the more assertive, less friendly Marco I saw hints of in those several episodes.
Definitely worth a mention, I actually thought of your theory when i saw how unfriendly Sol is compared to Marco, actually reminded me a lot of how he was in The Banagic Incident episode. it's on par with schizo Star
I still haven't made a WordPress version of that thread/essay lmao

https://desuarchive.org/co/thread/131628610/
For anyone who hasn't seen it yet
Is the pilot is bad it could hurt the image of the show, if the pilot is good it could make the show look bad in comparison. I don't think this is true but I can imagine an executive thinking this way, specially with Disney which takes care of its public image a lot.
Watching this felt bittersweet. It reminded me of both how much I enjoyed the first half of the show and how it took a turn for the worse before ending on a wet fart.
I remember finding a storyboard for a chunk of it a few years ago but didn't post about it here because I knew someone would just repost the link for clout and act like they found it without crediting the random dumbass anon who actually did. Was a couple years ago so IDK if it's still around or was posted elsewhere by now.
Didn't watch the video it yet but great to finally see this. I haven't posted in Star threads for years now but it's nice there's still new content or whatever, memories from a better time etc.
Also kinda unrelated to the pilot itself but it hit me recently that the reason Nefcy apparently really wanted Star to sound the way she does seems like it might've been inspired by some of Usagi/"Serena"'s kinda low-pitched/janky voice actors from the first English dub of Sailor Moon.
they probably made her parents look older and weirder on purpose to make it more visually obvious Star is the star of the show and they're background people (at least for s1 logic)
I think it's to make them more approachable as parents, if anything. The show proper makes it clear that they DO care for Star, they just want what's best for her. In this pilot they seem a lot more neglectful, getting rid of her the first chance they get.
Interesting, Star used to be not that great of a melee fighter, most of the battle scenes had her using the wand, whereas Sol was the physical attacker.
I actually prefer it that way, made it more realistic for the female lead while giving the male lead a bigger reason to exist.
>entire major plotline revolves around him being functionally immortal against anything but a specific dark magic spell that basically requires a faustian deal to acquire >lmao no, just hit him with a bigger magic laser than normal and hit him with a rock, it's fine
I really didn't want to think about this show anymore ever again but that was enjoyable to see. Unfortunately, all it did was remind me of the good times when I enjoyed the show with Cinemaphile
>Reading this thread and being reminded of when I was utterly obsessed with this show and S4 being so bad made me want to give up on Western animation entirely
I was here the day the first episode aired, I qas here when people said that Marco's back being sweat was a "he is a mexican wetback" joke
I cant believe its been 8 years
So Star didn't just wipe out the magic spell creatures, she "merely" deprived them of their sapience? That is what Daron's explanation was. It sounds just as worse as killing them ??
I miss when people who like this show could discuss it with other people who like this show here without being drowned out by she killed millions funny memes.
Pilot Jackie doesn't seem to be quite as thicc as the final verison.
We have confirmation that Star was literally always a cuckchad. She starts chewing suggestively on her wand when asked "how she would feel if her man left her for an older woman and does this"
So who exactly found this SVTFOE pilot, where and how??
God, pilot drawing and lighting quality was way better than the final show
Is there any anime where the main girl fricking loses? I got recommended The World God Only Knows on that criteria, and it turned out they fricking lied to me because the main was never really competing.
Very unlikely but I wish clean HD rips of Wuzzels is laying around somewhere at Disney that could be leaked. Or Hasbro has them because it's co-owned by them.
Pilot Marco >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> SVTFOE Marco
Marco? I think you mean Saul.
Its SOL you homosexuals
oh you mean SOVL?
Oh It's a pun off Star's name.
Alright then, how long till someone draws fan art of Princess Sol then?

Definitely. That Sol really respects himself way more than simpco diaz
Very cool
Happy times before Cotugno took over and ruined everything
If it makes you happy,Disney,CN and Netflix always rejects her show ideas, recently she mentioned that her fourth Netflix pitch was axed.
>MC is an unlikeable dyke c**t
No wonder
>We need more Women/PoCreated cartoons for variety!
>Every modern cartoon is interchangable garbage
anyone got more? I feel like she scrubbed them off
>If it makes you happy,Disney,CN and Netflix always rejects her show ideas, recently she mentioned that her fourth Netflix pitch was axed.
Good
She and the baby can live off Bobby
I still can't believe 4 different networks called her mc completly unlikeable and somehow she wouldn't accept changing her a bit for greenlight.
Cotugno must have giant ego to not accept a little change
With Dana is the same, badmouthing her employers and being incredibly difficult to work with no wonder if the "TOH does not fit the DIsney brand" argument they gave her was just a scapegoat excuse to cancel the show and get rid of her.
It’s hilarious too because she worked on fricking Star Vs.
You would think she would have learned from Nefy’s experience of having to change an original idea for better.
Also are these pitches all based on the same idea? And has a pilot or animatic been released?
>If it makes you happy,Disney,CN and Netflix always rejects her show ideas, recently she mentioned that her fourth Netflix pitch was axed.
>I still can't believe 4 different networks called her mc completly unlikeable and somehow she wouldn't accept changing her a bit for greenlight.
Okay, now I want a rundown.
If anime starts doing it, then Western cartoons need to start doing the Yamcha death pose.
>Okay, now I want a rundown.
So why is the mc so unlikable?
Self-absorbed lesbian.
Why is everyone a troony now
being trans is the socially acceptable alternative to drugs. Young teens and adults see their friends are trans and think it's cool so they do it too to be accepted by their peers.
years later and you gays can’t accept that nefcy is the reason this show went to shit? not surprised.
It pains me terribly to tell you Mole Girl wasn't the reason the show turned to shit, she actually wasn't this time
Was amount of things:staff, writting, executives...
This is typically the triumvirate of a show's issues. Sometimes the issue can be put purely on executives, but more often than not, it's due to all three parts falling apart.
Jesus christ I'm glad they changed Tom's design
Wait, Marco's name was originally Saul?
When are we getting the Better Call Marco spin-off?
Not Saul, Sol as in sun.

You have to be a sadomasochist to enjoy it post Season 2.
toffee arc is ok, post is fricking trash
ill give it a shot then, thanks
The first half of the first season is wacky monster of the week shenanigans before the kino lore and underlying plot kicks in. However the last season absolutely drops the ball and shits the bed, and pissed off the majority of the fandom with how utterly garbage the plot resolution ends up being.
But in the middle it's enjoyable.
>The first half of the first season is wacky monster of the week shenanigans before the kino lore and underlying plot kicks in. However the last season absolutely drops the ball and shits the bed, and pissed off the majority of the fandom with how utterly garbage the plot resolution ends up being.
its kind of crazy how many shows this describes
giancarlo volpe can only do so much, he may be a great man, but he is only one man
Seasons 1 and 2 are great, 3 is watchable, 4 shat the bed and should be avoided.
No, just a masochist if you're trying to watch anything pass s2.
Yes, but as soon as you finish Battle for Mewni, just stop there. It's unironically a better ending.
Seasons 1 and 2 are great. Season 3 has some moments but focused far too much on the worst aspect of the show. Season 4 is utter garbage do not watch.
Just stop after Battle for Mewni and if you really are into the universe just read fanfiction.
Racism solved!
The racism analogy has been in the show since season 1.
yes, and it was fine as a background thing. it became shit when the show stopped having actual villains and instead decided to go full-hog on the racism metaphors as the entire plot, despite them not even having an ending that logically solves the racism problem.
it just wasn't planned to be two seasons longer and the writing quality shows it
Where the first two seasons had a clear villain, the last two were just filled with shiphomosexualry and muh racism.
You have to be me
I'm glad they kept her thiccness and didn't make her another Star lookalike.
Still not as bad as Nick rejecting Adventure Time twice in favor of Meatboy and Chum Bucket.
Reminder that Jackie had to be written off for Star to win the Marcob owl.
The king is here.
>Reminder that Jackie had to be written off for Star to win the Marcob owl.
Almost 6 years and I still never forgave them
What a cope, Jackie is nothing but a filler love interest to drag out Starco
She should have been a lot more
And yet she still had to be written off to lose.
Final Solution.
where is my svtfoe song jebus

there's the golden ticket
She had 8 minutes total dialogue in the entire series, most of us are living off of fancomics of her actually doing anything
season1 is good, season 2 you have to be a pedophile, season 3 and 4 bad
Stop lying, you shit. There's literally zero e-girl appeal in the show. Everyone is 15+. That's normal sexuality territory even IRL. As in, if you don't find highschool girls attractive, you're gay.
only jackie looks the part, everyone else is a e-girl
Wasn't e-girlta 15 in the book?
Just because e-girl is named after her, it doesn't mean it's representative. 15 is a grown-ass woman. Physically if not mentally. Vertical growth for women ceases by that age.
She was 12 at the beginning but several years pass
>AKSHULLY she is a 1000 year old dragon
Svtfoe came out in 2015 so every character is 8 years old tops. If you're going to be pedantic about characters ages at least be right.
Pilot Marco(Sol) >>> series Marco
Pilot Moon looks off
Pilot Tom is trash
Pilot Moon didn't bother with the fake British accent, I'm guessing Grey wanted more contrast with Valley Girl Jackie
Adam was clearly trying to find Marco's voice here, it sounds more like Marco in the last 5 minutes
I see it's "Star AND the Forces of Evil", not "Star Vs." like the final show.
whats with all the disney leaks lately?
That's just Timbox making many threads but i get it.
>No clue, but I wish early footage and development art from past cartoons were what these insiders would mainly focus on leaking. Do you have Pickle and Peanut? Disney XD Facebook posted a small animation from it when the show was about to premiere
Do you have the Animatic of Very Important House
>Do you have Pickle and Peanut
the "pilot" screener i have just appears to be the aired first episode of the show but disney labeled it as pilot
>Do you have the Animatic of Very Important House
i've never heard of this project
i don't think the unknowns i posted were ever known about publicly outside of disney filing trademarks for them back when they were produced
>i've never heard of this project
It was the show made by invader zim creator johan vasquez
He pitched it to disney and they kept it after the pilot wad made
main differences here are peanut's skin is darker and the store uniforms are orange instead of green like in the show.
What did the pilot's animation look like?
%3D
I've never even heard of some of these. It's insane to think of just how many scrapped pitches are still kept secret after all this time.
>We didn't get Shred Force

Boy cartoons really are dead, aren't they?
Thunderbeards has an amazing art/animation style. All it’s missing is a hot Viking babe. No idea how they made that mistake.
>Brad refused to pay a few bucks to export his viking goddess wife
Ever since, I just can't say "Eso Brad" anymore, he doesn't deserve it.
Worse part is she was even hotter that you think.
Any chance you have anything on HOOD?
If your gonna leak anything can someone leak "Very Important House", I really want to watch that shit.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell me you have Very Important House.
Stop it.
>the goddamn WoY test pilot
Holy shit anon, this is incredible. Thanks so much for this, I loved that show.
Shred Force would've been perfect for pre-2015 dudebro Disney XD. I would've loved it as a kid.
I really like the Viking one, I recon this shorts are either from stuff that already aired like Wander and Star vs or stuff that didn't got picked up.
Do you happen to have Rapscallions?
Only to round out the trilogy of rejected Mercury Filmworks pilots from 2012.
>Rapscallions
https://files.catbox.moe/p3d8km.pdf
Thank you anon, very cool!
Damn, Shredforce is fricking awesome!
>fun
>funny
>looks great
>sounds great
>hot girls out the ass
WTF? Which absolutely moronic CEO declined this?
>mfw Shred Force
man that was awesome
Thunderbeards was kinda whatever, a competent action cartoon, but not something I would watch.
was thunderbeards designed by one of the wayside animators? feels like it.
Huh, you guys undersold Wander, it's pretty good. I think I should watch it and create some context for all of that Dominator R34.
I like this homosexual, cool design
>Voiced by Dana Snyder
I love Scratch but man, this guy would have been kino with his voice.
>Shredforce was turned down
>we could've gotten a PG Metalocalypse
I miss Wander over yonder
>McCracken's name and reputation are so powerful he only has to send them an animatic for the pilot
>ShredForce
>fricking 2012
>do not distribute
>probably can't even reuse the same pilot depending on which company they show it to
Do the people that spend a year or two working on those pilots only to be canned and hidden forever ever see a single cent as compensation
Being a western cartoonist is suffering
This is actually surprisingly good.
The animation is really great for NOW, let alone 2012.
Its stupid, but I would've loved this as a kid.
I can see why this one didn't make it.
This one is great obviously.
You know what?
It makes perfect sense. Think about it? What’s happened recently? Disney layoffs. This is going to sound crazy, but my theory is that someone or some people at Disney got fired, became disgruntled and came to this anonymous Chinese forum to post pilot leaks where they know (or at least they think) no one at Disney will catch them
It makes a lot of sense but these things aren't bad nor put dirt on a company, normally if people are pissed they leak other stuff
Or maybe they got fired and simply had them in their possession. Maybe they weren’t pissed but where all like, “Eh it’s been about ten years now (Christ) why not release it?”
I feel like rejected scripts or deleted scenes would be more damning in comparison to pilots.
True, all of us already know for a fact that a lot working in the industry lurk on Cinemaphile, in fact if anything we should be expecting even more "leaks" coming from Disney as they continue to do layoffs
It's a group of discord redditors who got laid off of Disney
Retaliate for mass layoffs
Anyone got the full list of leaks?
seconding, also interested in the list
Disney has been doing layoffs because as it turns out, adventure loreSHIT with female MCs with no straight romance are not popular with girl only with vocal minority on Twitter, they're leaking this out of spite to them
So Tom was originally Star’s ugly bastard ex-boyfriend?
>So Tom was originally Star’s ugly bastard ex-boyfriend?
He served the same purpose as her ugly bastard ex in SVTFOE.
He serves the same "demon prince ex with a strong goth rocker look" purpose, but the design is shit and makes him look kinda greasy andlway too old for Star. He looks like he'd be 25 or something. Show Tom ended up looking a lot younger and more like he'd be around Star's age
Look me in the eyes and tell me Star isn't the kind of girl to have an awful relationship with a 25 year old scumbag man.
She totally is but considering Tom's later awesome character development arc, it works better when he feels more vulnerable from the start, and not some doucesleazer hitting on girls over a decade younger
>way too old for Star. He looks like he'd be 25 or something
Idk man, Sounds like a lot of girls I knew in high school
This looks more like the comic where star is a schizo.
Does anyone else think Sol had emo eye-liner on him?
Schizo Star is best Star.
>new kid instead of safe kid
He wasn't the "new kid," people just didn't know he existed so they thought he was new.
It retained the pointy nose for Star that Nefcy drew in the comics but you can see the character design already turning left hard
>Pilot Moon and River.
>Pilot Ponyhead.
>Pilot Angie and Rafael
>Bitchin' Pilot Marco.
Damn. Its like staring into a window to the Opposite Dimension.
Pilot Jackie doesn't seem to be quite as thicc as the final verison.
Pilot Jackie looks like she has a massive dick
>SOVL Diaz
>he was a total dick to Star at first
>new kid instead of safe kid
>Jackie and Brittney were pals and Brittney was also less of a b***h / Jackie more of a b***h
>Tom was probably intended for just a one scene gag
>no Fat Friend and Pajeet Friend
>new kid instead of safe kid
I wonder why said Marco(nee Sol) should be changed to be a feminized dipshit compared to this pilot.
>Marco Diaz: chicano mutt
>Sol Diaz: 100% raza
Here's the question: Spanish, or Mexican?
I like both Angies, I wonder how they'd get along.
Definitely Mexican
God. Imagine what we could've gotten.
I wonder how Eclipsa would've looked into this Proto-Art style...
Show Angie has green eyes so definitely not spanish
I thought Angie wasn’t South American. Isn’t Marco mixed?
Yes. Mother is white, dad is mexican
Yknow, I'm really happy theyre in such a loving relationship.
I used to jerk off so much to marcos mom
>I used to
What stopped you now?
Angela isn't exclusively a Hispanic name in the US and the material book implies she's from Ohio
Yeah i think Nefcy once said Angie is just an american from Ohio, while Raphael is from tijuana which makes Marco a first generation chicano?
You people are both moronic and obviously racists
You are aware that there are contact lenses that make your eyes look like a different natural color right?
>obviously racists
I thought that was clear from us being on Cinemaphile
>no Fat Friend and Pajeet Friend
They are still in the Crowd shot
Wonder if they just picked there designs from the pilot and just went there Marco has freinds
Probably, even Miss Heinous was in the pilot and IIRC, Eclipsa was an addition to the show during Season 2's production.
They weren't even supposed to be anything other than window dressing, DTV made having them as sidekicks a requirement (which as soon as Volpe's contract ended and DTV went hands-off, Echo Valley functionally left the show)
I remember they mentioned they didn't want to show Marco as someone without friends. But other than that I didn't notice many differences from the first season.
Jackie wasn't so much a b***h as she was just mad that Sol pissed off the teacher making all the students day harder. a layer of character that fits the energy of this pilot, not too different from the disappointed jackie we got in the final version of that episode
Originally, Marco (or Sol) was going to be Star's rival until Daron changed his personality to be more similar to her husband.
wow boobs
I love that they kept his design and (most) of his voice.
Also, boob.
Reminds me of Pickle and peanut
Reminds me more of Lynn Naylor' and her husband Chris Reccardi 's stuff In terms of the designs
The follow up scene also showed Ludo imagining kissing the girls and feeling up their boobs. Out of all the "lore" shows of Disney, it felt like Star Vs was the one had the most "getting shit under the radar" kind of stuff.
>Nefcy. She unironically loved PH. Whether because she loves to shitpost or not, who knows.
I think she mentioned in an interview that she reminded her of friends she had. Maybe a friend like Ponyhead is more enjoyable to be with than to watch.
Nefcy hired Eden entirely because her voice didn't match that of a cutesy princess.
The villain butt in the pilot though
I don't remember ever noticing those frames when I first watched this. Maybe the original version I saw was too low quality, though.
Amazing they got away with that. the hand the frills and wheelchair girls face show it’s on purpose. Shame there wasn’t more
when you're nefcy they let you do it
Her and a few animators have a thing for butts based on seeing a few posts. Also one of the animators Cheyenne Curtis is doing a online class about storyboard ing and stuff for about 200 dollars right now
I want brittney wong to sit on my face. Based nefcy being the bisexual pervert she is
She looks sticc though. It looked like she was going to be more of a recurring background character in the pilot though before something happened with nefcy and her va unless that’s just rumors
what do you mean? what happened?
WTF based?
bullshit
but i believe it
This sounds about right for Nefcy
>trusting a tripgay
ishygddt
Not sure it’s true though but isn’t Wong Chinese? Also someone did this. Chantelle was forgotten just after this episode too
Still not that good of a butt. But I thought it was obvious she was chinese
This is very similar to the show.
Just different voices and outfits outfits.
Yes, it is closer to the show than the original comic.
Do you have the Jarco kid edit?
this one comic spread is better than most jokes in the series combined
Who ultimately decided Pony Head was an annoying teenager from a whole kingdom? She should have just been a wand magic gag.
But anon magic is worthless garbage and deserved to die
Exactly, she should have been part of the happy community of characters in her wand she unceremoniously killed off.
Without Ponyhead, Star looks a lot more sad and desperately lonely.
>tfe even show got pissed of Ponyhead at the point the killed her
Seems like she was like an OG Glossarick.
>she kills the entire cast and dances on their ashes
it was telegraphed from the very first..
Amazing!
>CN rejected this but greenlit shit like Steven Universe and Clarence
Sad!
It was pitched to CN first? Man, that would've been sick.
>Shared universes become a thing in the future
>Somehow cross over CN shows together.
>The reason that big hole is in the planet in Adventure Time? Star.
>We could have had a canon Steven Universe and Star vs crossover instead of Steven says uncle
Imagine
No thanks
>hating Clarence
>FG reaction pic
Bruh
>CN rejected this
More like she was hoping to pitch it to Cartoonstitute but CN changed management and ended that program after its first year. Also, the story as she originally intended it (Star's an annoying chuuni with no actual magical powers) was better suited to [as] than CN proper
But both Steven Universe and Clarence were both successful shows, what's so sad about that?
the first show you mentioned began the era of softboi homosexual shit on Cartoon Network, which Star Vs. eventually succumbed to after season 1.
I liked Clarence, tho.
Steven Universe was still very successful and CN definitely profited from picking it up. Sorry you didn't like it I guess
>first show changed the industry because it was so successful
You've still yet to post a problem, you soft boi b***h
But both turned out better than Star vs.
Yes, Steven Universe turned better than that.
DON'T TALK SHIT ABOUT CLERENCE
Marco was Sol diaz? Sol is a girl name, fitting for a princess.
Sol means sun, moron.
moron foreigners trying to talk down an actual latino. Sol is a girl's name.
Alba, Dulce, Dolores and Alma are masculine words yet are girl's names too.
I know Alma can be a male name
https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/scriptures/bofm/alma/1?lang=eng
>Sol is a girl's name.
Sure.. if it is the shortened form of Soledad.
Sol is a masculine noun in spanish, moron.
Sol
>gender neutral name in spanish, meaning sun
>most common version of the name outside that is as a short form of Solomon(male)
>It was also the name of the male roman sun god Sol
>gender neutral name in spanish, meaning Sun
What the frick are you talking about? No man is called Sol, that's a woman's name, like Luna, Estrella and the like.
>most common version of the name outside that is as a short form of Solomon(male)
That shows how ignorant you are. In Spanish it is Salomón, not Solomon.
Then why is it said El Sol and not La Sol?
>that's a woman's name, like Luna, Estrella
Anon no, you're just wrong. Accept it. Sun is masculine unlike moon and stars
Teasing Jackie and Marco feom the beginning
>Star apoligizes to Sol for fricking things up the entire episode
Well, that certainly never happened in the final show.
I know it's a pilot but the near lack of any sound that isn't dialogue is weird
Considering this was only a proof of concept directly from the animaton studio only meant to be seen by producers it makes sense there's no music
We have confirmation that Star was literally always a cuckchad. She starts chewing suggestively on her wand when asked "how she would feel if her man left her for an older woman and does this"
>Star was literally always a cuckchad
Best female archetype
I like pilots, thanks.
Star Butterfly RULES!
isnt this show aggressively kid-oriented?
In the first season yeah but its overall pretty targeted towards teens and young adults in probably the worst ways possible.
Star reboot incoming
Hey If I were to upload this to youtube what should I title the video?
how about
>Star Vs The Forces Of Evil - Lost Pilot Episode
oh wait
Pilot Moon>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
she has a fricking chin for one thing
As a Moongay I'm compelled, although painfully, to concede
Thanks for sharing.
>Jackie is a temperamental prostitute in the pilot too
Huh, who woulda thunk it?
I've always held the opinion that the S3 and S4 mid season episodes should have been swapped given the focus of each season but what do I know ig.
i dont get why people still do that with their stories all that build for the ship only for zero content of the to be shown.
Anyone can write romance, writing a relationship is exponentially tougher
>What's the point of romance if we never actually see the relationship part
That and Nefcy saying they wouldn't last as a couple
Honestly tho the soundtrack had no right to go as hard as it did
Also Awesome Feeling is honestly a bop
The show didn't deserve this OST
I really love how Nick Lachey is giving it his boyband all
Yeah really!
>Star & Marco should've stayed besties, with no romantic tension bullshit.
god fricking dammit this
She's the female main character, he's the male main character, what the frick were you expecting to be the endgame?
It would have been pretty cool if they subverted out expectations and made Star the vixen instead of the cuck.
I never watched this show but my understanding of the story based on years of scrolling by threads for it:
>wacky random adventures for a while
>the lizard guy is the main bad guy and gets brutally killed
>Marco dates like 6 women including the thick scissors b***h
>racism metaphor of monsters being blacks or whatever becomes the main focus of the second half of the show
>Star's grandma is dating a giant demon dude, and she's a villain I dunno but she's really sexy
>the show ends with genocide and even more forced romance
I have a lot of what you seek but Cinemaphile.org does not want me to post it
Is this AI?
it was hand drawn, I used at-the-time top of the line AI to auto-color it back when SVTFOE was airing.
any artists names or anything you can provide?
they were drawn and posted in Cinemaphile threads in response to thread jokes, I'm sure someone could figure out who it was but it ain't me sadly
>Star has cuckquean
>Marco has CBT
It's like poetry.
He also has cuck stuff too.
Gross dude.
>she liked minorities before it was cool
The book Nefcy wrote outright states Eclipsa was exclusively a monster fricker, keeping notes on their performance. This is the same one where Star lets us know she wasn't actually ditzy in S1, this is an act she always puts on when visiting new dimensions to get accustomed.
Fricking Nefcy
Pretty sure they heavily implied Marco fricked one of Hekapoos clones during his time chasing them
yeah but there's a difference between an implication and it being a part of the show. marco literally dates jackie and the tree girl (I think?), but he never canonically has a relationship with hellashit
That's the main gist of it yeah
You forgot how her grandma was not her real grandma.
>racism metaphor of monsters being blacks or whatever becomes the main focus of the second half of the show
They're more like Native Americans if anything, but it's so flimsy either way that it falls apart under the slightest bit of scrutiny.
"Lizard guy" I always thought of Toffee as "A Dapper Dinosaur or "A Dinosaur in a three-piece suit".
what the frick was his problem
He could see the end of the series coming and actually had a better plan on how to handle the issue
Also I actually like the Pilot episodes art-work, it looks like a lot my own drawings, sketches and artwork from when I was a teenager and art student.
If we get an I Hate Fairyland cartoon I would love it to follow the Star Vs Pilot art style.wgx0vy
I can see it.
There was an entire subplot about how apparently Marco was magic? I never completely understood that.
Anyone else always kinda felt Star’s voice actress just didn’t fit her character
no, only you
She sounds like a thirty year old with maturity issues but you get used to it. We put up with an entire cast of age appropriate VAs in Avatar with Azula sounding like thirty-five year old making no attempt to sound like a 16 year old, so…
>VAs in Avatar with Azula sounding like thirty-five year old making no attempt to sound like a 16 year old, so…
Worse, Azula was 14.
She sounded like a deep-voiced overweight adult woman trying to sound young. Yeah, that always bothered me, too.
You'd think that they'd hire people who actually sound young, to play young characters.
Even the pilot has better animation that Seasons 2-4 lmao
This is what the lack of Mercury Filmworks does to a Cartoon.
The blander animation from some Korean sweatshop reflected that and made the show even worse
>full animation
*dull
I think Star should of fricked Jackie and Marco should have fricked Tom.
Marco honestly would have been a better girlfriend to Tom than Star was
This combined with how much I liked that short period of time Star and Jackie got along super well right before The Cucking set in makes me wish the show went for the ultra rare super double rainbow of homosexualry. It would also mog the shit out if the future Disney gay shows.
>those character designs
can't anyone in this industry fricking draw anymore?
am I the only one that thought the cuck meme was kind of lame?
also, starco should have happened way earlier in the show. personally, before season 3 ended would have been nice
Star butterfly is le cute! Why did she kill millions?
to save hundreds
too lazy and too dumb to think of a better solution
this fits nefcy too
Frick off pedo.
Gona get a job at Disney making another portal fantasy cartoon who's plot is about reviving magic specifically to have a quick three second cameo of star vs ending getting undone.
The Return of the King
KKKIIIIIIIIIIIINOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
In the pilot universe, would we have gotten evil Marco, or rather, evil Sol?
No Janna makes it miss some magic
I think Janna is in the Pilot in the Final scene with MS Skullnick in the Cafeteria, remember that Janna's role was very minor before the crew fell in love with her during Mewberty's production.
This hasn't been uploaded on the Internet Archive yet? For shame, Cinemaphile
https://archive.org/details/starpilot_202306
Don't forget the other pilots.
hey leaker, if you're still here, post the north woods pilot.
It seems the characters got a redesing as opposed to the first desings additionaly this was going to be for Nickelodeon.
>https://desuarchive.org/co/thread/132550449/#q132552764
Well it seems like a pilot was definitely made at some point in the past. If they're revisiting the idea it would explain why one of the designers took down the page of work they had
https://web.archive.org/web/20210303012726/http://www.nikolas-ilic.com:80/northwoods
>North Woods by Thurop Van Orman on the works at Disney
>Saachi & Ten by C.H Greenblatt on the works at Disney
>All while a writters strike is happening
Ummm Chowderbros and Flapjackbros is happening again..... this time at the halls of Disney...
TOH was not popular, and no, Twitter never counts.
Only Big City Greens, that one managed to beat DuckTales, Tangled, and Big Hero 6 ratings
Also Phineas and Ferb was still writting episodes by the strike of 2007 and rn Povenmire mentioned that writting on Phineas and Ferb and kids animation is still happening despite the strike.... holy shit
>Disney TVA might be the only ones doing anything interesting and possibly leading the industry into another boom period.
Didn't many CN people jumped to DTVA when Snyder was fricking CN with CNReal like Zaslav is doing?
I mean, CN right now is mainly just a brand at this point
No building, no shows, barely a tv channel
Don't remind me.
It just fills me with angst.
What is even happening to them? Before, people talked about mismanagement, now, no one talks about it at all. I didn't think it was so serious because ALL cartoon channels are heavily mismanaged, but was it really that bad?
>North Woods by Thurop Van Orman
that's been in development hell for almost 10 years, it was never happening anyway
if it's not happening, then why did Disney pick it up and why did Thurop say he was still working on it last year
if that's so then I want MY FRICKING SHRED FORCE SERIES GOD DAMMIT!!!!!!1
Shred Force has male mcs, it's never getting picked up
Very Important Housebros Will Frolie get a second chance for Disney Channel like North Woods?
Jenny Goldberg is currently on the Big City Greens movie which is weird for her to comeback to DTVA, but with North Woods being back on track at DTVA for Disney Channel since 2021, there's hope for Very Important House to get another shot
Maybe we can ask Johnen on his drawing livestreams only to tell us to go frick ourselves
He has one right now, now the question is who could be the brave soul to make a fool of themselves with Johnen for asking about a potential second chance of Very Important House at Disney TVA.
https://www.twitch.tv/jhnenvee
>Very unimportant kid
I bet he was going to be Frolie's friend like Libby, Casey and Remy
oh shit I recognize that pose
Holy shit, I never put 2 and 2 together. Can’t believe Thurop’s been trying to get this off the ground for that long. I still remember when it was a stop motion feature he was developing.
>Additionaly this was going to be for Nickelodeon.
>Molly McGee
>Kiff
>Magic Children Doing Things
>North Woods
Nickelodeon loves to shoot themselves at every chance
>gross that's not even a girl
Made me sad that line would get a lot of shit today
So who exactly found this SVTFOE pilot, where and how??
me, my computer, I opened the video file
Thanks dude, you really made my Sunday
Do you have anything else of interest in your wacky computer?
I wondered why they never release pilot stuff till way after it. Behind the scenes stuff on cartoons is cool not just for things like
So people don't compare them. There will 100% be people who like something from the pilot more and hate studios and execs for changing it.
.
bump
I mean, where did you download this video file from? Did you contact some Disney stuff or people who worked on SVTFOE?
I got it from the hacker known Cinemaphile
I wonder if anything was ever animated with the original premise of a schizo Star, or if the show already got reworked before they started animating anything.
I think Daron had to rework it before pitching it to Disney.
schizo star was a funny little comic she made on her own. she would have known it wouldn't become a show, she just borrowed some of the concepts to draw from.
Oh right, forgot that Angie also looked way hotter as a brown Latina
>Moon looks way hotter
Is the fact that she has a chin in the pilot?
Anyone have any /sveg/ screencaps or archives during bon bon the birthday clown? Here's the meltdown from the infamous kiss
God I miss /sveg/. It was one of the comfiest threads I had the pleasure being a part of.
The memes during season 3 and 4 made up for the actual show
Can I get a crumb of context?
I remember furniture Star and Jelly Janna. Those were the times.
The fact that a cartoon had the nads to show their female protagonist as:
>emotionally distressed that her family thinks she's worthless, but she doesn't stop trying
>emotionally distressed that even a "joke" villain like Ludo has the capacity to one-up her
>emotionally distressed that the guy she's crushing on has only platonic feelings for her
>emotionally distressed because the reason everything bad is happening to her is her fault
really got into the minds of the older generation.
While this should have been great, Nefcy made two incredible blunders:
>Subvert expectations with Eclipsa to make her protege, Sabrina Cotugno, happy
>Pay back her college "debt" to Alex Hirsch
I fricking hate episodes like this in general, the character now canonically has like 15 years more life experience than the other and I should pretend it's no big deal?
>The writing team were flabbergasted when the fans hated it.
Got a golden egg and threw it away.
>Women and gays seem to like Eclipsa.
And coomers. Eclipsa and Hekapoo should have been villains, but the writers made them good because girls thought they were cool and guys thought they were sexy. The Magic Counsel was done dirty by the writers
Yes, the same scene was in the Matchmaker ep, except the girls had been redesigned to be monstergirls instead of humans.
What's your favorite show/anime, anon?
Courage the Cowardly Dog
>Almost nobody cared about Star vs. throughout S1
Mewberty was a pretty good hit of popularity here.
When did the crew decide to give Heinous Cheek marks and make her related to the Butterfly family during Season 1's production?
expectations with Eclipsa to make her protege, Sabrina Cotugno, happy
Why do you homosexuals force this meme so hard?
Why do homosexuals like you continue to piss and shit when induction is involved and every single thing Cotugno did, from targeting Little Area to forcing Jackie to become a race-mixing lesbian while on a trip to France (which happened to Cotugno, and which she publicly announced) to her actively sabotaging not just her own show, but also very nearly getting The Owl House murdered in the crib because of her insane demands, paints her as a total psycho who would do the kind of shit that would paint a literal PTSD-suffering war veteran into the final antagonist with absolutely no cognizance on what that entails?
>paint a literal PTSD-suffering war veteran into the final antagonist
it's still fricking insane what they did to Mina Loveberry and how Solaria got away with everything
I'm still haunted by trash
https://desuarchive.org/co/thread/104878537/#104886995
how the frick did they get away with this one
???? every post was deleted. They didn't get away with anything. Archives saved it tho.
Never, ever forget that Nefcy truly is /ourgirl/
hehe that was even shittier than the final product
but pic related looks sick
is there a way to get a higher res version of that shot?
Looks like the backgrounds from Superjail.
Remember that thread where one (1) anon, theorized that season 1 and early season 2 of the show used concepts from the original comic where Star was a normal girl who imagined she had powers and had no friends?
Good thread.
I remember and believe it.
That was me! I'm anon!
I still haven't made a WordPress version of that thread/essay lmao
you should do it now anon. It was kino
I wonder if I should include reference to this unearthed pilot. It doesn't actually changed my ideas very much; this is the more assertive, less friendly Marco I saw hints of in those several episodes.
Definitely worth a mention, I actually thought of your theory when i saw how unfriendly Sol is compared to Marco, actually reminded me a lot of how he was in The Banagic Incident episode. it's on par with schizo Star
https://desuarchive.org/co/thread/131628610/
For anyone who hasn't seen it yet
Should've stayed like that.
Intersting to see what piolets are like
>Star after I'm through with her.
I guess we're not getting anymore pilots
>Pilot jackie
Who knew something as simple as lines in her pupils made me hate the current one.
>the voluntary cuckqueaning
>the nuclear rainbows
SHE KILLED BILLIONS. WE DIDN'T NOTICE THE WRITINGS ON THE WALL.
Wait, is the bear on the left doing the Peter death pose?
The meme started way earlier, holy shit, so Amphibia, Big City Greens, Owl House? What other shows in Disney did Family Guy?
Imagine if a Anime ends up doing it.... my best bet is Panty and Stocking
I like the detail of Star wearing those latin-inspired dresses. They're very cute. Peak SO(V)LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
That pilot was obnoxious as frick, surprised it got made.
This was going to be in the Older Women's thread but I think its more appropriate here. Thoughts so far?
Pretty nice, anon.
Thanks. Almost done with her, just need to color and shade.
All done.
Noice
Thanks man. She's a favorite and drawing her is fun.
i dont see why stuff like plots need to be leaked by employees it should be seen by everyone.
*pilot*
shit
Is the pilot is bad it could hurt the image of the show, if the pilot is good it could make the show look bad in comparison. I don't think this is true but I can imagine an executive thinking this way, specially with Disney which takes care of its public image a lot.
I was not expecting to enjoy watching anything related to SVTFoE in 2023, but here hot damn.
Watching this felt bittersweet. It reminded me of both how much I enjoyed the first half of the show and how it took a turn for the worse before ending on a wet fart.
Thank you OP. I felt happy for 13 minutes. No idea why Eden Sher sounded better in the pilot than she did for the first five episodes, though...
Man, this was nostalgic. Really brought me back to better times before everything went crazy.
what happened to Nefcy, did she die in a ditch like a crackprostitute yet or what
Anyone think Mewni's castle looked way better in the pilot?
Awesome.
PS. Eclipsa ruined the show
Also kinda unrelated to the pilot itself but it hit me recently that the reason Nefcy apparently really wanted Star to sound the way she does seems like it might've been inspired by some of Usagi/"Serena"'s kinda low-pitched/janky voice actors from the first English dub of Sailor Moon.
I prefer River's old design.
they probably made her parents look older and weirder on purpose to make it more visually obvious Star is the star of the show and they're background people (at least for s1 logic)
I think it's to make them more approachable as parents, if anything. The show proper makes it clear that they DO care for Star, they just want what's best for her. In this pilot they seem a lot more neglectful, getting rid of her the first chance they get.
>I'm coming for you, Princess Butterfly!
What did Ludo mean by this?
Where did the leaker go? Disney ninjas sniped him?
So are we never going to get an explanation as to what she meant by "they haven't earned it"?
the pilot looks much closer to her artstyle than the show, I didn't know production had that much effect on it
Interesting, Star used to be not that great of a melee fighter, most of the battle scenes had her using the wand, whereas Sol was the physical attacker.
I actually prefer it that way, made it more realistic for the female lead while giving the male lead a bigger reason to exist.
This is just the episode where star turns the teacher into a troll... what the frick?
Many pilots tend to evolve into actual episodes of the series, but you can still see many differences both in writing and designs.
Are you underage or just ignorant?
After this time I still hate how dirty they did Toffee
>gave the role of the immortal regenerating lizard to Michael C. Hall, a man battling serious cancer
what the frick nefcy
>entire major plotline revolves around him being functionally immortal against anything but a specific dark magic spell that basically requires a faustian deal to acquire
>lmao no, just hit him with a bigger magic laser than normal and hit him with a rock, it's fine
Neat.
this thread is such a bummer. The leaker dropped some cool things just to literally vanish
fricking weird how its a whole episode, arent pilots usually like 2-3 mins long to just show an idea of a show
The fact that Nefcy's crew went the extra mile showed how passionate her team was to produce the cartoon, I'd wager.
Not really, it usually depends.
>That's not even a girl
I can see why this was removed from the final version lol.
Star really is just about the cutest cartoon character out there.
>We can never go back to the season 2 cuckqueen threads.
Why bother living?
Your whinging and complaining about this show and owl house doomed us to another 20 years of phineas and ferb, I hope you are all happy
There is already a spiritual successor to SvTFOE s1-2 coming.
Perhaps the channel is healing.
>More Love Triangle garbage
Please just solve that by the end of the season.
All trailers and description for this show have been pretty boring. Don't know why Disney is shilling this hard.
Better than the cuckquean shit
Star vs. became popular because of the cuckqueaning
women getting cucked is rare and hot
Ludo was straight?
He always was.
What gave you an impression to the contrary?
most short bald men are gay. or bald men in general
Star should of worn a different outfit every ep
She did have a reasonable wardrobe, different every ep wouldn't be reasonable from a creator perspective or from a character perspective.
Kimiko from Xiolin Showdown would like to have a word with you.
Kimiko rewore her base uniform a lot of the time, as did all of the monks. she couldn't have that many more outfits than star.
God, pilot drawing and lighting quality was way better than the final show
Shredforce is unbridled testosterone given form
They should make a visual novel adaptation of Star vs where you play as Star and have to try and make Marco not get with the other girls.
marco has a chadder name and voice. Really like this pilot def rough around the edges but always fun to see what could have been.
Is there any anime where the main girl fricking loses? I got recommended The World God Only Knows on that criteria, and it turned out they fricking lied to me because the main was never really competing.
if they lost they weren't main girl
Don't be deliberately obtuse. If they're prominent in the marketing and tend to act as a sidekick, they're the main girl/guy.
The good old days...in spite of how it all ended, I had a lot of fun anyways
Very unlikely but I wish clean HD rips of Wuzzels is laying around somewhere at Disney that could be leaked. Or Hasbro has them because it's co-owned by them.
STER
Think Ill draw Hekapoo next time. Good thread everyone.
I still wish Jarco won.
So do I, and I even shipped Starco back then.
Better for them to stay together than to have every character sacrificed on the altar of Nefcy's ship.
