>"I don’t look like any comic book character. Like, I could have never played the Terminator. No one would make a robot with a crooked mouth and voice that sounds like a pallbearer. It just doesn’t work. But yes. Who was the guy Sam Jackson ended up playing? Nick Fury? With the eyepatch? Yeah. I thought I could have done something like that, where I’m not the main guy."

Could he have pulled it off?
as Fury Sr.
Depends on how into it he was, if he treated it like a paycheck it would've been shit because he's been pretty shit in movies he doesn't respect but also really good in movies he does. Given he decided to do good in Guardians 2, he probably could've been a good Fury if you just swap him in for Jackson.
>Ah Yes my son whom I had when I was 3 years old.
>what is flashbacks?
>>Ah Yes my son whom I had when I was 3 years old.
>What is flashbacks
>What is Infinity Formula
>What is some plot device to get him missing and either in suspended animation or out of the timestream for decades
You fricking casual
Sure. It's not like it's a particularly deep or complicated role.
I could see it
He could be Frank.
He is already a living version of Steve Dillon's art
David Hasselhoff played Nick Fury
Far better than Sam L. Jackson. They could ditch the Ultimate attitude, too.
...except in this case. He was already Nick Fury.
>I don’t look like any comic book character
I mean...he kind of looked like Dredd.
Yea, but Dredd is usually just seen from his chin down. The Judge helmets would work on a lot of people
>That's a nice suit you got there, Stark
>You work for me now
Surprisingly humble coming from an actor of his prestige.
And I kind of agree, there's no way someone like him could play a straight boy scout Superman or Captain America without adding in some grime to the personality.
I don't think it would necessarily be grime, but it would be tricky to take someone like Stallone seriously as Superman. Though now that I think about it, he'd probably make an incredible Bizarro, since his way of speaking would work for the character
They'd have to had cast someone else as pre-serum Steve, but I could have bought Stallone as a 90s Captain America.
Captain America with partial facial paralysis?
Definitely not. Steve’s actually a really tough cast because not only do you need to find a perfect blonde hair blue eyes guy, but they have to have a very strong balance of commanding presence and warmth. The guy from the 90s movie looked the part but had none of the warmth, so he was considered terrible.
I really hated how they handled Cap outside of TFA, Avengers 1, and TWS, but Chris Evans was perfect casting. Avengers 1 may not have been perfect, but the Steve moments were so fricking perfect it hurt. It honestly made me want a Joss Whedon written Captain America movie, because that was the guy he understood.
>but Chris Evans was perfect casting
I disagree. He's too soft. He doesn't look or feel like he could handle himself in a real fight.
There would be a certain dramatic irony of Stallone being cast as Wonderman. Maybe from the old days when Hank Pym was Ant Man
He could be Cable or something
Could work in a reboot. Old school Fury.
>I don’t look like any comic book character.
I usually see Guy Gardner portrayed with a crooked grin, he could dye his hair and fit the part just fine.
>I don’t look like any comic book character. Like, I could have never played the Terminator.
Ah yes, the famous comic book character, the Terminator.
Yes?
Am I suppose to feel sorry for the super rich super famous actor that has starred in countless block buster movies that he can't play literally every role he wants?
It's clear that Tommy Lee Jones' character was originally supposed to be Nick Fury in an earlier draft of the Captain America movie.
No, he wasn't.
Yeah, he can actually act as more than one character, Samuel L Jackson can't do anything other than angry cool guy he played in Pulp Fiction.
>Not so subtle racism
Name one good Samuel L Jackson performance. Go on I'll wait. Name a good performance from Mr Snakes On A Plane. Not like I'm shit talking Sidney Poitier here.
Loaded Weapon.
Gator in Jungle Fever
>You're the disease... I'm the cure.
He was Dredd, Starhawk, the Demolition Man, that's a pretty good record, Yondu's funereal is one of the highlights of the MCU
He could also play classic Fury, Punisher, Cable, Colossus etc
He literally has a superhero movie I haven't bothered to watch on Amazon prime, also he's basically the Guardians of the Galaxy's Nick Fury expy if they bothered to use the reavers more
In theory I agree with him. I think he'd make a great Steranko's Fury.
In reality I would be more eager to trust Lorena Bobbitt with a blowjob during a handcuffs play than trust MCU, especially modern MCU, to do Steranko's Fury justice.
Perfect answer.
No need to samegay.
Start coping.
That's somehow even sadder.
I think so, yeah. People tend to forget that Sly’s actually a good actor. I think he would’ve been a solid Fury.
Best fury coming through
