Holy shit an actually good reason. Well frick me sideways, anon, I ain't used to that on this site.
Anyhow, Sylvia is unbelievably hot and it's a pity she gets forgotten so much. I grew up on this movie more than the first and absolutely had a thing for her. It's sad that by virtue of being a sequel character she basically got forgotten because I could absolutely see her long term being Goofy's new girlfriend/wife. Seems like a lust for redheads runs in the family.
>what in the absolute frick is going on with this board lately, the most random shit just seems to be getting spammed nonstop right now
Fairly sure that someone is using AI to mess with Cinemaphile in general atm. Lot of little to no meaning bait threads spammed.
Probably just some research purposes but who knows, maybe some long nosed fellows are trying to make the boards unusable.
>Historically Cinemaphile was pretty prolbgt, drugs, etc.
Cinemaphile always leaned toward contrarian libertarianism. The anonymity and relative lack of moderation has always meant that people are more comfortable airing out thoughts and feelings that they can't let out in 'polite' society. Back in the Bush years (and into the turn of the 2010s) being pro-gay or pro-weed were, in fact, controversial opinions that could potentially get you ostracized from your peers/community, while being conservative was something that was treated normally instead of something that would get you sent to HR and fired (or in the case of places like the UK, outright arrested) >Now we have a bunch of Christian conservatives.
who have, in the last several years, become cultural pariahs. In fact a good chunk of right-leaning people on here are people who used to be left-wing on here a dozen years ago and flipped when the left started their campaign of total cultural despoiling I know because I'm one of them
I'd say you're both right, since /new/ brought in much of the wave what would later become /misc/, and grifting through culture war kicked off the shift mentions. but yeah, Cinemaphile always did lean toward contrarianism, it's just now it's taken seriously instead of being just clowning around.
When we allowed ourselves to be duped by rich fricks who co-opted social libertarianism and turned it into a get rich quick scheme, if any of you right wing social pariahs have any sense, you won't let it happen to you.

True. We had a severe flooding last night with the usuan inane postings that attracted zero replies. Now they have changed tack and post controversial stuff close to /b/ territory.
PJ scored someone out of his league. In the Goof Troop universe Goofy is seen as effortlessly charming by women so it's not surprising he'd be able to get a wallflower type, especially one he's got lots in common with.
My headcanon is that Goofy is perceived as an absolute Adonis by other toons, and that's why Roger Rabbit wishes aloud he was like him in the empty theatre with Eddie.
I find it weird that they set up a love triangle with PJ and Paulie Shore... Then did nothing with it and PJ just won. That said all of Max's friends just kinda disappear at the end of the movie, once they helped in the race. From what I gather the movie production was a mess and in the end some execs just stepped in and told them to get it finished.
It's a bit of a shame because it's rare you actually see characters age as a franchise goes on and the first movie is far better than it had any right to be. I overlooked it as a kid (was 12 or so, "too old" for Disney) which was probably for the best, likely hits harder if you've gone through your teens.
There must some grain of truth to this, because some scenes felt like the animators were simply goofing around instead of making a better movie (it's basically a rehash of first one),
>Uma Thurman dance from Pulp Fiction
The end credits animations further proves my suspicion
>I find it weird that they set up a love triangle with PJ and Paulie Shore... Then did nothing with it and PJ just won
I haven't seen it in a few years but if I remember correctly Paulie Shore's character is the first to make a pass at her, gets rejected in favour of PJ, and bows out as gracefully as a Paulie Shore character can once PJ starts charming her at the club. Am I forgetting a scene or something?
Tricky to weed out since the original family were named in relation to one another. So just calling him Son-Brother-Cousin-Nephew-Uncle Bear may mean that their family is larger: Momma and Papa have an older child with a child, and they're closer to their rustic branch of the family so Uncle Tex just drops by enough with his kids enough to work it into their names.
Imagine helping her taking it off after it got all sticky from the sweat she worked out on the dance floor. I bet she doesn't wear any underwear under it.
They aren't consistent about it though. She appears in House of Mouse and is still into Max, then Max is either not with her in that holiday special or they changed her design.
It's not just her. Most of the female characters in the entire Goof Troop/A Goofy Movie cinematic continuum were attractive and stuck out against the male characters. The animators knew what they liked.
I never realized until now how she must have some afro wig going on in the dance scene, she suddenly has so much more hair.
Has no ears either, yet the earrings are attached somehow.
I certainly agree. And I think the writers were implying that plenty of other people do, too. Notice in the first image in OP's collage that she's wearing a ring on her left ring finger? Then it never appears again? Something tells me she wears it like that to keep the hordes at bay, but ditches it as soon as she starts interacting with Goofy.
This movie is deformed. It opens on a strong note of Goofy suffering a mid-life crisis but loses that thread to do rapidly-dated X-treme Sportz shit.
Goofy living at the college with Max should represent him trying to go backwards to the past instead of facing the future. Max should (gently) reject this and a chance meeting with a cute '70s fetishist causes him to regress further into the past. When partying all the time causes him to fail his studies (which are for the future), he gives up and leaves, treating Sylvia as if she was just part of a dream. He realizes his mistake and returns to apologize to Sylvia and make a heroic effort to rescue his graduation. Meanwhile, Max has a fake-out romance plot with Beret Girl that ends in a joke because he is not the main character; Goofy is. Goofy is able to say goodbye to his son whom he has fathered into a fine man and go into an unknown future with his new love.
Some of that is in the movie but it doesn't connect up. Skateboards frick off.

i know this board used to be very boring and sterile with the same 12 threads being posted over and over again
why can't we go back to that?

They did that with the massive pol migration for trump, stormfront, etc

It's all so tiresome, fellow oldgay.
Where did it all go so gay?
people like you, closeted gays, looking for any opportunity to express it
When we allowed ourselves to be duped by rich fricks who co-opted social libertarianism and turned it into a get rich quick scheme, if any of you right wing social pariahs have any sense, you won't let it happen to you.
This is why modern Cinemaphile is more of a laughingstock to the site than /misc/ or Cinemaphile.
I'm glad this b***h reminded people of A Goofy Movie 2, I feel like that one always gets left out when we reminisce on the Goofmeister
Quit it with the yiff furry lesbians.
Now that animesuperhero is dead forever a lot of their psychos and freaks have migrated here.
frick is animesuperhero
It was a forum formerly known as Toonzone. Went offline in March and the database is corrupted beyond recovery.
🙁
what should we be talking about?
achewood
Why is this funny?
mensa is for smarts, yet it's a very dumb question with smart guy stuff thrown in to make it seem smart
also it helps to know the characters
waifu of the week cycles every week dum dum

>Sylvia merch
>Inaccurate hair
JUST
That's supposed to be Sylvia? It looks like they just used some leftover Jasmine hair and painted it red.
looks like an anthro princess fiona
Lmao cannot unsee now
Anyway, I was wondering if some artist could draw them both sharing fondue on another date
They had Happy Meal toys? Holy kino
This place has always been like this, what the frick are you talking about?
Nah, even Cinemaphile outcringes us most of the time
>That entire design
The hair is your problem?? The frick is that giant foot?
I do enjoy Sylvia, Goofy won pretty hard
PJ scored someone out of his league. In the Goof Troop universe Goofy is seen as effortlessly charming by women so it's not surprising he'd be able to get a wallflower type, especially one he's got lots in common with.
Every girl in that college wanted to get Goofed.
That's 5 chicks, and one of them is his niece.
Well he does sound like he's from the South so that tracks.
He kissed Pete's Wife and got away with it? What is Goof Troop real lore here?
(Never watched the show, but the Goofy movies)
All you need to know is that Goofy is the Chaddest of all Chads. Boom, you're caught up.
L-lewd…
Goofy does as he pleases
That lucky hyuck…
I can't believe they were gonna write Roxanne out by claiming she broke up with Max over Goofy when it seems like she likes him
She moves well but b***h can't dance. Just random posing. Still better than young white person "random jumping around waving arms"
Typical avante garde beatnik stuff.. Also you just described vogueing
My headcanon is that Goofy is perceived as an absolute Adonis by other toons, and that's why Roger Rabbit wishes aloud he was like him in the empty theatre with Eddie.
>Uma Thurman dance from Pulp Fiction
It's actually
Gender swapped PJ and Bobby
>do you see a sign out there that says dead goof storage
Is this a plothole?
I don't remember talking them about this meeting at all.
they did.
Not really, the sat at the bench and there was no dialogue before Goofy's lowest point in the movie
Why do you think so was so angry when he came back?
There's something strangely erotic about that long snout. One of those things where it shouldn't turn me on, but in these particular circumstances...
Did she ever show up in House Of Mouse?
Extremely goofy movie was half sexo wish fulfillment for goofy and PJ. No idea why they went so hard
PJ needed to continue the Pete bloodline and create PJJ
>PJ
>Pete Junior
Motherfricker why did I never realize this before? Of course Pete would name his son after himself.
my god he’s hot
P3

What are you talking about? Every female in the movies was very attractive.
She was the least "goofy".
Furgays get the bullet
To shoot you with.
>Mama Bear's midriff
MILF BELLY BIG
Are brother and sister also niece and nephew here?
Tricky to weed out since the original family were named in relation to one another. That last theme song had no right to be that good...pretty sure that was about the time female country singers started infiltrating animated media.
How would you take off the outfit on the right? Is that an one piece? Is there a zipper on the back?
I think it's one piece, like a catsuit
Imagine helping her taking it off after it got all sticky from the sweat she worked out on the dance floor. I bet she doesn't wear any underwear under it.
Why did they remove Roxanne from the sequel?
Shit character
Probably didnt want to tie Max to a preexisting relationship in college.
They aren't consistent about it though. She appears in House of Mouse and is still into Max, then Max is either not with her in that holiday special or they changed her design.
big bush
It's not just her. Most of the female characters in the entire Goof Troop/A Goofy Movie cinematic continuum were attractive and stuck out against the male characters. The animators knew what they liked.
Clevage
I never realized until now how she must have some afro wig going on in the dance scene, she suddenly has so much more hair.
Has no ears either, yet the earrings are attached somehow.
Nah, hair band pulling her hair tight and lots of volume mousse could do it
Pure sex
unf oh baby yeah
She's the main love interest.
Most tend to be attractive.
Main characters are SUPPOSE TO STICK OUT!
If you want to jerk it to her, just say it.
She was beautiful even with glasses on…
How the frick was she single?
the typical ''libraries are not attractive'' cliche
Which is ironic because I think she's INFINITELY hotter with the glasses and bangs. The disco outfits a strict downgrade for me.
Librarians are great
I certainly agree.
>Notice in the first image in OP's collage that she's wearing a ring on her left ring finger?
It's a mood ring. It's the '70s kitsch that she likes.
Plus Bebe made her sound rather old
Silly girls
>Did they had to make her so attractive?
You are a shitty furry. Go to hell.
The man from 2007
>two characters from this movie have nostalgia for stuff from 50 years ago
>goofy's first appearance was in 1932
>first appeared with the name goofy in 1934
whats pj stand for?
Pete Junior. Ironically, despite the name, he's the only one in the family not named after one of Pete's past characters.
um anon you were supposed to give a meme answer...
Pussy Jackhammer.
If I quit my factory job and go back to college just like goofy can I also date a librarian?
...and you have a problem with that? Hottest damn thing in the movie with that beret girl with weird lips playing second fiddle.
I find funny how sylvia is the female that looks more like a dog
>child bearing hips
she looks like she's a giga bawd who will frick anything with a wiener

an extremely emotional movie
Furry "fandom" goes on
Why do Goof Troop women all look so fricking fertile?
