I really like the mechs, shame it doesn't seem to interest /m/.
The robots look too goofy. And they are from the guy who designed Kimaris Vidar and Dilanza, which is a shame.
WHY DO PEOPLE LIKE THAT DOGSHIT KIMARIS SO DAMN MUCH?!
Looks cool. Also he was like, the strongest Gundam in the show and clapped Bael like a grunt.
Its gilgamesh from fate... as a gundam
Bael is more like that, because the lore wanked him so much, only to get clapped at the end.
nah I'm talking visual design
Oh orginal Kimaris looked more like Gil. Kimaris Vidar looked more like Sundowner.
>have similar armor design (look at the shoulders!)
>main weapon is a drill
>main ability is to launch stabby weapons like a gun
>something something all of my equipment is great treasures
its purple gil.
Most of those traits taken from previous Kimaris
Literally none of those are from the base Kimaris. Not the shoulders, not the drills, not the dainsleif, etc.
Kys redditor
I don't get it either, it's a huge downgrade from the pure sex machine that is Vidar
It's a shame hell most of this thread devolved into just frickin gundam posting. (Yeah I know kind of ironic that I'm posting strike noir while b***hing about that)
>thread is gundam-posting
post about somethin else then dumbass
The coffins are really appealing to me.
The mechs all look like toilets with arms and legs.
>legit thought episode 6 was delayed
>nope, aniwave just didn't bother to upload it for ten hours
Frick me I missed the current ep.
Anyone else think that noir's original hair color was black given its color here and her name? It's probable that this is gonna reveal her to Black Mask and Schnee as who they're looking for but I'm wondering if it was changed to hide her in addition to memory wiping her. I just find it odd that her appearance changes like that compared to the other Magus skills we've seen.
It's probably got something to do with her being a prototype. Maybe an even earlier Type Zero than the other Type Zero that we see in the show, which explains her being different than Flamme and Schnee. Maybe closer to Schnee than Flamme though
You vill eat ze synthetik flesh
I want to eat the synthmeat.
I've tried lab-grown meat.
It's better than any vegan alternative on the market. But still.. off. And dry. If you gave it to me as like a McDonald's or Burger King burger, I probably wouldn't notice compared to their regular fare. But that's more because those are such dry, over-salted piles of dreck that even lab-grown can stand up to it.
It's early days, it'll probably get better. I also wouldn't really mind if it weren't lab grown but some fricked up synthetic chemical nightmare approximation, as long as it tasted alright. Mostly because I read some articles questioning the viability of lab-grown meat.
I've been calling Magus Nikkes when talking about the show, and they even have Nutrium instead of normal meat. Just post-apocalypse convergent ideas I guess
What does photo story mean?
Story illustrated with photos, in this case, model dioramas
I've realized this show, with its bright colors, top-heavy mechs and punkish/graffiti sort of vibe, really reminds me of Basquash.
Only it's missing some bountible, bounceable, beautiful, brown bosoms.
I needed more reasons to get around to watching Basquash, thanks.
I really liked the first half, but it changed directors midway through and it went downhill from there. It also didn't help that the second guy was a colossal homosexual who hated fanservice and went and censored the BD release more than the broadcast.
Always remember
>99% of gamblers quit before they make it big
Be like Tokio, never give apu
I wonder how tokio normally handles his losses? We know that he's done this before, how did he get the robot back the first time?
Being a manprostitute maybe. Dude's down for it
ok episode. The fact that Noir's power just suddenly popped in without anything leading up to it (aside from one hint in ep2) is anticlimatic though
There wasn't just that bit in episode 2, while yeah thats the only thing majorly hinting to what the power was they've been going hard on the 'type zero magus have these dope ass powers and noir is a type 0 magus' thing for multiple episodes now and those powers fitting well with the lightning thing she did back in ep.2 anyways. What more build up did you need?
I think the point he's making is within the fight in the episode itself there was no buildup to noir going crazy. Like, we never got any focus on her perspective, her being worried about winning, or stressed out. Heck kanata barely seemed bothered. So while story-wise it makes sense (in the series, episode, and battle) they didn't execute on it to make it seem earned in the moment.
But the chips are down, they're out of energy and ammo and weapons, Kanata's under direct threat on the backfoot, and so the power comes out so Noir can protect him.
Oh yeah that I can get I don't think it was awfully done but it did have little fanfare.
It kinda looked like a preemptive strike on her end.
gundam X, zeta gundam, eureka 7, this, what is with this type of girls in mecha i don't hate it but i app seeing it?
Next episode, Ellie gets cucked even more https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=67pB53gyWr8
>In order to find clues about Noir, Kanata asks Maria, Ellie's older sister, for maintenance. Knowing this, Ellie visits Kanata's room to take care of her personal belongings, but there she finds Ciel doing housework perfectly.
i like the gas mask one
Good designs
EVERYONE FEARS THE URBANMECH.
so is it good or not? i have nothing to watch
it plays it too safe
This is the complaint you make when you have no real complaints
it's not a complaint.
I like the show a lot but you have to admit that it doesn't really have a hook.
NTA but bruh, it's an adventure. That's the hook. Like many, many action oriented media. Action adventure+hot chicks, even.
Are you moronic?
>lost robot girl with no memories
>Novice with big aspiration that lacked talent so he just gave up gets 2nd chance
>weird ass monsters that exist b/c ???
I'm pretty sure you mean to say it doesn't do anything particularly "new and different". But frankly who fricking cares so long as it does those familiar things well & in an entertaining way. Not like Gundam hasn't been doing the same thing for decades with different set dressing and aesthetics.
> doesn't do anything particularly "new and different"
I think the Magi power system is new and unique. When was the last time you saw a robot that could generate its own terrain?
>a robot that could generate its own terrain?
From a certain point of view...
Yep, it almost feels like a kiddy 90s show at times. See these two dopes:
,
.
But at the same time, it's just enjoyable to watch. And isn't this what anime is for?
It's a good time
It's becoming better than Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury to me.
Not a super high bar lmao
I’d recommend giving it a try. The main couple are pretty boring ngl, but all of the side characters are very full of life and the world building / story development seems good so far.
Yeah. For not being a Woke shit unlike G-woke for having cute female characters. Except for artificial foods though.
It's a bit slow, I think its about to start now that Noir seems like she's been revealed.
I'm enjoying it.
Relatively down-to-earth VOTOMS style action, with weird elemental ghost powers in between.
It's a good time.
I watched the first episode last night and enjoyed it a lot more than I was expecting to. Going to pace myself, but I'm looking forward to more.
it's fun
too late humanbros
kanata has a bona fide harem of robots now, and he is an /m/ autist so there's no way a meatbag can compete
>and he is an /m/ autist so there's no way a meatbag can compete
Good, always go with the robowife.
How big will Kanata's robo harem be by the end? Who else will join? Ellie's magus? The e-girl? Mouton?
I don't think masketta man is fully human
Oh yeah, he's totally in.
let's add potato girl while we're at it
I'm all for it. I'm a sucker for girls who do the Naga laugh pose.
I wouldn't be suprised if either of them was revealed as "the special" (though ik thats what noir's supposed to be), considering kanata's mysterious origins (we don't know who his bio mom was)
It feels like a 2000s show.
And Im enjoying it a lot more than I expected. Definitely my aots.
It's generic, but I love it, it's one of the better mecha anime I've seen in recent years, if you want a decent mecha show, this is pretty much it.
Anyone saw this week's episode?
>harem episode with the only important bit that the current robot girl wants to frick over Noir and kidnap her eventually.
yeahhh..this show has to drop its harem bs.
*Haram episode according to Kishida
>Kanata collects yet another woman
>She's also a backstabber
If they have a Noir abandonment arc later that makes three
Elliebros, the childhood friend can't stop losing...
New episode with a new Ender! So the Spaceman is a type that spins with three legs, has a triple barreled energy ball cannon for the right arm, and the left hand uses a spear. And hey, Gallia's Boomerang Launcher from Xabungle gets a homage!
new episode:
>"covert Lights-out technique install"... Why do they have to frame literally everything in this show as a sex thing. Also am I the only one who really wants to see what a magus looks like under the hood, how the maintenance would work, etc? Show me that sweet sweet terminator skeleton
>Ciel flirting with kanata too is pretty annoying. Although its fun to see Ellie's reaction.
>"Magi will never be human" More dark hints, but I'm starting to doubt its going anywhere
>"Magi are equipped with standard functions right off the manufacturing line" does that mean that there are facilities still manufacturing magi currently? I guess the world isn't entirely low tech with the mecha and the food atomizing and all, but idt it was implied that they had a wide manufacturing base before, honestly the opposite was implied, with all of the nests being atomized.
>"My mom was a magus" That's cute. I didn't see it coming (even though in hindsight we've seen the pics before and I assume the magus markings would be there too)
>new centipede alien
>Ciel is also working for the Magus stealers. Once again, I didn't expect it. Especially not so soon after Claudia and Masked dude. Maybe the plot is getting going after all.
>noir is the key to histoire (but we knew that). More importantly, the people looking for noire are doing so to protect secret history, not necessarily for personal power, suggesting a faction already in power
>and ofc ciel realizes she wants to be Kanata's. Because there hasn't been a single woman yet who hasn't...
All in all, 5/10 episode. But promising in terms of plot going forward
Yeah, episode was as always, cheesy but compelling.
It's really weird, this obvious feeling of "I've seen this shit a thousand times before", and yet I'm having a good time
>this obvious feeling of "I've seen this shit a thousand times before", and yet I'm having a good time
That's exactly how watching performances of classic plays and musicals is. This episode unironically felt like that.
That's a really good point.
>classic plays and musicals is
Eeeeh, I was thinking more like eating a cheese sandwich. Nothing spectacular about it but it's always good.
That's a good way of putting it, this entire scene reminded me of macross in the best way, helps that she looks and kind of reminds me of Sheryl beyond the superficial too
Episode 9 PV:
It's a beach (Okay, water park) episode .. yaaaay..
The "fanservice is annoying" guy is probably ripping his hair right now. I'm tempted to do the same, but hey maybe it'll still be fun.
>The "fanservice is annoying" guy
There are multiple of us, we are legion. But also its not the fan service thats annoying. Its the harem bait.
But Kishida has banned bikini from entire Japan in 2022 summer, except for Jap gacha which is irrelevant. Forcing gender neutral burkini as "swimsuit"...
This guy would be supporter of Kishida in secrecy.
Ellie sex
>Things that will never happen
I called that even though they said Magi couldn't float they'd forget about it when it came time to do a beach episode (or in this case, waterpark)
Really at this point I just look forward to Tokio and his shenanigans more. I would be lying if I said I wasn't annoyed by the harem teasing and forced cuckqueening but since the OP doesn't have anymore girls, he shouldn't be getting anymore and I'll tolerate it for the remainder since I do like the girls
Side Note will the game even come out before they spoil a bunch of shit with the the history and Noir's former partner
>I just look forward to Tokio and his shenanigans more
same.
>will the game even come out before they spoil a bunch of shit
Honestly I'm not sure. And moreso idk if it'd be a bad thing if the anime did spoil the game lore. The game seems pretty much like "destiny, but with waifu's and mecha" and one of destiny's big issues was that they didn't know where they were going with the story for the first year or two (at least). Maybe having a predefined end point would be a boon?
Live-action version of "Jissa Desire" (the name of the song heard when Kanata rushed into battle with Ciel assisting):
Longer version for those interested.
My theory is that none of it's real, it's a matrix kind of world and it's just Ellie playing cuck simulator.
I'm glad I noticed this thread. I'm really enjoying the show.
Ellie will win. We just have to believe.
Ellie should tackle him and give him a really hard dickride
desperate measures...
Why do Ellie's breasts look so suckable? It's like they're the perfect size for, you know, that.
The manga also makes her breasts look nice and the shorts are sex
I would like a figurise kit of her but I doubt it
I'm pacing myself with this show. Watched the first one a few days ago and just watched episode 2.
Can we talk about Dolce's fantastic 80's character design?
She looks like a Nagano character
She's a fine henchwoman. Ohohos for days
>potatoHOHO
She was perfection....
Her magus has more chance than her
>She was perfection....
Everything about Dolce is a mystery. We don't how tall she was before she left Rock Town with Range, much less why Range took her with him and gave her an extreme makeover.
It turns me on that you can customize your magi to your tastes.
How would this franchise work in a Super Robot Wars game?
Put Frontier in it and let Sheryl and Ciel do a duet.
I don't really see why Ciel is so surprised about Kanata treating Maguses as humans when it seems more common than the opposite.
Noir, Mouton, the black one, Ange and even Schnee all seem to be treated well enough and the exceptions are Flamme and maybe those triplets. Even Range, the guy who treated Ciel like a slave still treats his main magus Dolce like a partner in crime
Yeah, even if you were to stretch and say "Relationships with Magi are frowned upon", everyone and their mother have been making jokes about Kanata sleeping with literally everyone, which takes away from that too. Maybe the faction that hunts type-0s treats their magi really poorly, but if mask is a part of that... I mean, he doesn't exactly treat Schnee like a human, per say, like they don't joke or anything, but he's not exactly treating her as a slave either.
That is one big issue I have with the show. They don't do a good job establishing a "norm" in the verse. Its post-apocalyptic, with people living in small, guarded towns that mostly specialize in one product or service, yet they have a wide enough industrial base to continue to produce magi (and probably coffins), Magi aren't quite human cognitively, but I don't think anyone could tell you the difference.

Maybe episode 9 and/or the game will probably show Magi treated like slaves.

Most likely the game will answer how that came to be and it'll come out of why Amnesia (this romanization may be wrong but I've seem Amnasia and another romanization that I've forgotten) was abandonned.
i'd argue Mask treats Schnee pretty well since she seems utterly devoted to him of her own will while she seems to treat her with the same stoic and formal respect he treats everyone with.
That could of could change on a dime if he uses Schnee as a disposable tool
yeah i'm saying we havent really seen anyone treat their personal magi poorly. The only Magi we see mistreated are as they are being trafficked, by Range. Thats literally it. And even he has multiple magi on his crew that he seems to treat fine.
There are a bunch of servitor-like magi walking around in the background throughout the show, like the ones serving the repairman girl or (presumably) the prostitutes.
I think its a fallacy to assume that just because the repairman girl magi are seemingly more mass produced and have no character/lines, they have no personality.
my point is that there's a whole bunch of more traditionally appliance- or slave- like magi out there, they just don't get as much screen time as the much smaller population of combat assistant magi (one to a few per drifter)
plus only kanata and tokio seem to really treat their magi like equals
>Flamme
I dunno Claudia seems to treat her fine unless you're talking about that innocence comment and whoever had her before Claudia
Noir has a functional womb, like in Armitage III.
She will breed the next generation humans.
Don't know why, but I really like this framing for Ciel.
White woman spotted
This entire scene was great honestly the entire episode sealed Ciel as my favorite.
For a show that seems to be fine with lewdness, it doesn't have a lot of skin showing so far.
Ciel's shower scene doesn't do it for you?
Damn, love live shitters gonna be pissed about this
What for? I thought males were the only thing that made them go crazy
it is superstar, only the superstar fan actually care about it
Not much with this week's episode /m/-wise other than how Noir "swims", but the next episode has Kanata meeting a guy named "Alba". That can be found below with the name "Alba" being deciphered courtesy of Google Translate:
https://www.tv-tokyo.co.jp/anime/synduality-noir/episodes/
Could he be Alba Kuze from the upcoming prequel game?
I assumed that the other Magi won't be shown swimming (since we know that they tend to sink) but nice save with the swimming modules handwave
It's like this is trying to be ecchi but doesn't have the balls to do it. Like an otherwise PG-13 movie gets an R rating because it said FRICK too many times. Terminator 3 comes to mind.
I wonder just how far they're going to carry on the Ellie cuckqueen gag
She will breastfeed Noirs children.
At the least it doesn't have to contend with airing on 1700/5:00PM on Sundays in Japan (looking at you, Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury).
>Idol Ciel
Yep I'm thinking she just keeps getting better.
Elliebros we were so close...
she's gonna win the MC's bowl.
You mean that once Kanata has fully assembled his robo harem, Ellie will eat out of the dog's bowl.
As much as I hope she gets something from the lug of an MC, I still enjoy watching Jelly Ellie
New episode:
>God i hate this echi bs.
>so uhh, what kind of software allows something made of metal to swim? I thought they were supposed to sink not float. On another note:
>Noir swims like me. Underwater swimming chad
>Is it really suprising Kanata doesn't know how to swim? The rain is toxic. They say "I've never seen this much water before" so they can't live near an ocean or lake or something. And even if they did, wouldn't it also get toxic?
>maria is ellie's sister. I don't know if they told us that before.
>the scene change from pool to idol concert was wayyy to fast.
>I wonder what the finger hologram technology stuff is. The Magi have it too, so its unique that humans can do it as well. Edit-- and apparently it has some physical mass (though it was for a joke)
>maria still cares about whether the leader likes her even though its implied shes dating tokio?
>ciel sings twice a day at the pool -- meaning it cant be too far of a commute from there to rock town.
>"Kanata inspired her to"... continue what she was doing, going around and singing? It seems to me like Tokio is responsible for changing up her look.
>bro this is the most forced BS ever. "I injured myself jumping into a deep pool"
>"ZOMG He KiSsEd Me!" Lady its called CPR!
>the ending with noir is kinda funny I guess
I'm rapidly losing my patience with echi-esque harem stuff. Also, this pose is unnatural. Her center of balance is wayyyy off
Your blog sucks
>>God i hate this echi bs.
Stopped reading here, no one cares about your opinion on fan service.
>Claudia
Betrayed him multiple times
>Ciel
Is already plotting behind his back
>Noir
Set up for some inevitable abandonment melodrama when she finds her old master
>Ellie
Always there for him, the worst she's ever done is some childhood banter that he forgot about
Whether human or Magus, the choice is clear. Kanata must have suffered brain damage of some sort. Maybe the BPA leaching from his Magus mother's breastmilk spiked his estrogen levels and weakened his heterosexual instincts. (This explains the earring too)
>Noir
>Set up for some inevitable abandonment melodrama when she finds her old master
netorare when?
>the choice is clear
Yeah Tokio is only choice
Bros before hoes
Noir is not a ho. She is a faithful wife and future mother to the next generation perfected humans.
She will always be there for Kanata, will help him accomplish all his dreams, and will give birth as many children as he wants.
Ellie VA posting unpainted prototype for Ellie.

I thought Bikini is goner from anime because of Kishida the femi-lord(biological gender doesn't matter to be a feminist)
Aren't these the protags of the vidya?
they are, they showed up in episode 9
Wonder if this means they'll finally show more of the game, I've had a theory Namco has kept it on the back burner for shows and such since ac6 would overshadow it but now would be the time to capitalize on how well it's doing by showing off another mecha game for people to get into while waiting for AC6's expansion or sequel.
It does. Apparently there will be playable sections at TGS.
Oh nice. This and that crazy game from the EDF devs good time to like robot vidya
?si=Z3tDFBo8czfEtT_T
More Ciel music.
Noir wanting a baby episode when.
I need more Rei clones wishing to be mothers, the only good part of 3.0+1.0.
all the Ellie pushing this episode is making me fear they're going to kill Noir or some sacrificial BS
You don't push a loser character this hard without them actually winning, no way
Its happened before
They did the same thing with Ciel last week. I'm betting on a completely inconclusive ending.
Kanata's virginity is indestructible
Harem is the only answer
Either it will be a "I love you guys too!" or
an actual "I love you... And all you guys!"
XC2 was a mistake
But dint he impregnate all of them anyway?
He did.
Am I the only one who thinks that there isn't anything romantic between Noir and Kanata?
No. It's my view as well. I think it's obvious, even. Ellie and Ciel are the ones with clear romantic feelings who also understand what romance is, though Ellie struggles with the latter.
It's the inevitable hurdle of any character that's mentally a blank state and has to learn human interactions piece by piece. Most of the romantic situations they get into will be caused only by misunderstandings
I can imagine that, to justify a need for a second season if Eight Bit was told they've been given 24 episodes to tell the story, I can imagine episodes 10-12 will focus on Noir's real identity and that the mysterious organization from episode 6 will get Noir at the 12th episode.
Not that I'm a Kanata X Noir shipper but Noir must be extremely important since her name is the subtitle of this anime (the game has the subtitle "Echo of Ada", which makes it clear Ada is the leading lady). I douct the story can be wrapped up with four more episodes so if there will be a second season of 12 episodes, I doubt they'll rush who Kanata will hook up with. Again, it depends on how episode 12 ends and if it does with Noir abducted.
>I douct the story can be wrapped up with four more episodes
Meant "I doubt the story can be wrapped up with four more episodes".
I like Ellie so it is fine.
Dolce
>MC is a white bread "nice guy" who's kind of dense but otherwise generic enough that the viewer can easily project onto him
>90% of the remaining cast consists of bombshell women, most of whom want to jump on MC's dick
I'm so fricking tired
At least Kanata's more enjoyable than Suletta Mercury (Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury).
That isn't a high bar
Adding to what I've warned about any mecha story coming out of Bandai Namco these days, we must take we can get out of them in terms of good enough protagonist. The other option is Kaoris from Despair Memory Gundam Sequel and that Gundam manga may have little to no involvement from Bandai Namco save for allowing it to be written.
>>MC is a white bread "nice guy" who's kind of dense but otherwise generic enough that the viewer can easily project onto him
this anime feel safe, being safe is not a bad thing but i get the feeling this is the teams first project, mecha are sexy looking.
>safe
Yeah, that about sums it up. I think if you go in with the understanding that this isn't doing anything particularly new or revolutionary and is just a "good enough" show, you'll have a better time. At this point with mecha in the state it's in, I'd rather something safe and decent than something experimental that completely falls on its ass.
I agree. If I had to levy a complaint, it's that it does feel like it's playing it very safe.
But it's not like using safe archetypes is a bad thing. Just look at Star Wars. It's a mass of basic archetypes. But what it does with them makes it work.
And overall, I've been having fun with this show and hope it can keep itself at least competent and do something enjoyable with its archetypes.
Something about mecha that are just a big head with arms and legs always appealed to me and I don't know why.
Were you a big fan of Mashin Eiyuuden Wataru as a kid?
>this anime feel safe, being safe is not a bad thing but i get the feeling this is the teams first project, mecha are sexy looking
It reminds me of buddy complex. A show that does nothing new in particular, and stays in its lane. I more than appreciate that.
As stated before, it's just an "appetizer", for lack of a better term, to get people interested in the setting before Echo of Ada, the "main dish", comes out.
i'm going to draw so much NTR porn for this show.
It better be all of the girls cucking Ellie including Ange. Especially Ange
Speaking of which, were we told how tall Craddle Coffins are? I mean, they definitely can't be Mobile Suit tall (Gundam) 15-18 meters depending on which Gundam story you're looking at) since Coffins can fit in garages that wouldn't be out of place in fire stations but thet tower over their pilots.
Sorry. Meant to write "I mean, they definitely can't be Mobile Suit (Gundam) tall (15-18 meters depending on which Gundam story you're looking at) since Coffins can fit in garages that wouldn't be out of place in fire stations but they tower over their pilots."
They look a tiny bit bigger than your average VOTOMs. Betting on 4.5 meters
Then could they be viable in real life if something can be done with it's legs and finding a tactical niche for them to exploit?
Episode 12's now out. The highlights (which I've spoilered):
1. We got some drama between Tokio and Kanata that ends with the former severely wounded but not dead as many claim he would. The whole debacle now has Noir privately questioning what she is to Kanata.
2. It seems we only have one secret organization (one extremely interested with Type Zero Magi and not wanting anyone to reach Histoire). Kurokamen and Schnee work for the organization (though this was foreshadowed when Schnee claimed to have personally punished a subordinate for faulty information) yet when they examine the wrecked Coffin where Noir was discovered by Kanata, they don't seem to connect the dots as to who Noir.
3. Daniel, the old geezer who constantly screams "The storm is coming", may be him battling PTSD as he assured that the attacks against the various Nests might be a Silver Storm, which he claims is connected to the destruction of Amasia. The Silver Storm, as seen in the beginning of the episode, is why more Parasitism Enders appeared to make an army of Coffins to control and it's how Tokio got wounded.

>Summons bikinischizo to the threat
ugh
New episode today, why's the thread already dead?
Got through this week's episode. Couple of things to highlight:
1. Enders can now possess Craddle Coffins, and this type of Ender that does so is called Parasitism.
2. I think I have an idea on how Echo of Ada will work with Alba as it's male protagonist: the story will start with him being professional yet as kind as Kanata and that he was no different than Kanata back when he had friends, and based on how Ada reminded him he didn't have friends, the game will end will Alba losing every friend he had on top of Amasia being destroyed.
Ada clearly dies too, it seems like he's spent his time since the game rebuilding her.
>Ada clearly dies too, it seems like he's spent his time since the game rebuilding her.
And what do you base that on?
The junk shop owner says he's been building his own Magus, Ada implies she's also lost her own memory, he spergs out at the end when she tries to leave the Coffin.
>The junk shop owner says he's been building his own Magus, Ada implies she's also lost her own memory, he spergs out at the end when she tries to leave the Coffin.
Ah. Though as I said before, only Echo of Ada will show if that was the case or not.
Why is the timescale in this and AC6 so small? You need at least like, 150 years for “lost tech/ civilization” to become feasible. 50 was bad, but 20?!?! THERE ARE CHARACTERS OLDER THAN 20 IN THE SHOW!!!!!
I thought the toxic rain was over 100 years ago, and Amasia was a place after the rain but collapsed 20 years before present time.
It doesn’t matter. It’s treated as old/lost tech, especially the magi, when protag was able to create an Amesian lab from leftovers, and the tech is only 20 years old. Like, that’s stupidly short.
What doesn't help is that there's another long lost civilization (Histoire) in this franchise and an organization hell bent on making sure no one accesses its secrets.
Though as I stressed before, we'll have to wait for Echo of Ada to come out.
I havent bought AC6 yet, what is the timescale?
AC4 and 4A were like 100 years, and V and VD were several centuries.
it was 50 years since the disaster and they're acting like everything is ancient tech.
It's because it all runs on Coral which was only recently discovered and no one had in the amounts necessary to make weapons with so yes it was lost technology.
Rediscovered, rather
Nah. If you examine the timeline and what happens it makes no goddamn sense. Mostly because all of the construction projects. For example, the Coral Syphon would take decades, if not centuries to produce, as would the dyson-sphere-esque grid levels and the watchpoints. Both of which were canonically started after the Fires of Ibis. Yet somehow, the grid (at least some levels of it) has already fallen into disrepair, such that there are many sections literally suspended by threads. Also, with projects such as the Coral Syphon being so large, it would've been absolutely impossible to hide them. Everyone on Rubicon should've known about Institute City and Xylem being a colony ship. And I'm not even going to get into the rest of the plot issues here.
Nah you're an autistic moron honestly
Nah you're just boring
Given we have characters older than the main character, who from this anime do you expect might make an appearance in Echo of Ada?
if tokio dies next ep i'm dropping it
New episode PV:
Looking forward to the next episode
Me too. Tuesday can't come fast enough. And the wait will resume after that, especially since we don't have confirmation on how many episodes this anime will get in total?
>how many episodes this anime will get in total
Shouldn't it be like 12-26 episodes?
26 is a rarity these days. If episode 12 ends in a cliffhanger, we'll be lucky if we get a 12-episode season 2 at all.
>26 is a rarity these days
Shit I hate the modern anime work environment,
Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury was made the way it was because of how Japan let the anime work environment become what it is. I'm just hoping this anime doesn't have a luckluster ending like WfM, even if this anime is a promo for Echo of Ada.
Yeah well, WfM and Kyoukai Senki/AMAIM: Warrior at the Borderline have made me wary of how mecha anime are made, particularly from Bandai Namco Filmworks/Sunrise.
Getting back on topic, while Synduality as a whole is Bandai Namco, it's Eight Bit doing the grunt work. Even if it was to promote Echo of Ada, it still has to have a good story, which requires enough space for every story arc save for what Echo of Ada will cover.
You can only choose one for your coffin, /m/
That's actually a good in-universe reason a commander unit would use a Char horn.
I like that they're setting up the horn thing with how the zombie coffins are seemingly undetectable.
Just finished watching episode 1. I kinda dig the Jet Set Radio X Splatoon X Mecha aesthetic they are going for ( also Noir is just Io from Code Vein lmao ).
New episode stuff:
>I like the old engineer dudes, Horn Vs Shuriken is definitely an eternal question, but I'm curious about why they're making shit for Kanata specifically, instead of selling in the market.
>The storm thing is very interesting, I wonder if a specific alien is causing it, so rather than the aliens being attracted to the density or whatever its the other way around and they're spreading it.
>Tokio roast is sorta funny but I don't like them besmirching my boy
>Tokio jealousy/possessiveness is interesting. I don't know if we've seen a kamina-esque character become jealous of their charge before.
>General population doesn't seem to know about the imposter enders since the old lady doesn't know why they're missing
>Ohhhh its supposed to be protectiveness
>what is that memory? Is the dude in the lab coat kanata? How could that be? What event could that have been? So far the only big things we have are the storm which destroyed Amasia and the giant ender Kanata's dad fought, but those were before Tokio was born and in the wilds respectively.
>Prediction time, it doesn't seem like Noir is related to Histoire, but Amasia. Maybe there is a facility holdout with a bunch of Amasian tech or a colony or something with Amasian people who didn't fall hiding underground that Noir can open?
>I wonder how much of Kanata's stuff was made by the boneyard people
>So silver storm is a singular ender, not a weather event?
>So the storm didn't cause the collapse of Amasia, but cleaned up the remnants or something?
>Borg-walking city-thing is neat
>claudia and specifally flamme ex machina is cheap. Lazy fake-out for tokio
All in all, decent setup for the cour finale. The next few episodes are gonna be fun. I also wonder when/if daisy will get the new horn..
With two episodes left to go (the Synduality event at this year's TGS will be in between the release dates of episodes 11 and 12), here's the first Echo of Ada trailer as a reminder of what to expect:
>2 episodes left to go
It's a 2 cour
yeah, second cour next summer
>forced drama between bros for no reason after reducing Tokio's screen time in recent eps
>said forced drama is affecting Noir for more forced drama in the future
>20 years ago bro! even though many characters in town look way older than 20
yeah it's starting to lose me
Tokio deserved better
now he is trapped in the medical goop
He'll be back to save the day. I'm sure of it.
vindicated
You WOULDN'T frick an AI right ?
I wonder if when the VAs come in they just let them know "you're gonna voice a Rei Clone"
Episode 11 PV:
neat
Only two episodes left of this cour
And the future of the franchise will be decided in this year's TGS:
https://www.gematsu.com/2023/08/bandai-namco-announces-tgs-2023-lineup-schedule
I have good faith in it
Yeah, well, we got a sequel to Tales of Arise announced recently. Can Bandai Namco afford to leave well enough alone with Echo of Ada?
The only comment I have on this week's episode: While it's confirmed that the organization Ciel, Kurokamen (whose real name is Macht Ewigkeit), and Schnee really don't want anyone to access Histoire and they figured out Noir is the Key to access Histoire, the problem is we now have Macht and Schnee (reluctantly on her end) opting not to have Kanata eliminated. Will Weisheit know of this treachery and do something about it in the next episode to justify a need for a season 2 other than what we'll hear in TGS 2023?
Kind of weird for them to say this, no? It's supposed to be a multi-media venture but only the anime has been available for public consumption. I would have figured they'd wait until the game was out to have a better picture on whether the franchise would do better as just an anime, just a game, both or neither.
I imagine that they wanted to use this anime as a sneak peak for the universe while working out the kinks on Alba's story.
Anyone know the helmet worn by these guys? I'd like to assume Stahlhelm but the front also makes me think of the M1 helmet.
New character from episode 11 is named Weisfeit. Warning, Anime News Network link below spoils as to who he is.
https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2023-09-12/synduality-noir-anime-casts-yuuki-kaji-as-weisheit/.202291
Meant "Weisheit".
well shit
I imagine Jackbox is the one used by that mysterious organization but who pilots Tom Guardian?
I really like the designs out of this series.
DELAY

https://twitter.com/SYNDUALITY_GAME/status/1703967900300619881
Expected since they haven't shown shit since the first time they showed it really. Honestly I'm fine with it being delayed this year has bent me over in terms of games, still playing starfield and armored core, and that Stellaris with a Star Trek skin comes out next month and I'll probably play cyberpunk again with the new update and DLC, so I'm cool with this honestly.
Delay's fine. While the game was announced lat year, finishing it in such a short time table would have been a bad idea so I expected this to be the case.
Still, what will we hear TGS later this week aside from a possibility of a season 2 for this anime?
Oh neat, the genestealers (what I nickname Tripods and Intermediates) came back! And sadly the e-girl survived being shot out of a cannon. Send her to a volcano next time.
Vader NO intensifies
>Oh neat, the genestealers (what I nickname Tripods and Intermediates) came back! And sadly the e-girl survived being shot out of a cannon. Send her to a volcano next time.
That wasn't actually her. When Zero Type Magi use their Magus Skills, they summon a duplicate form to do the heavy lifting.
When Noir first used hers, her duplicate had black hair. In Flamme's case, the duplicate she used simply acted as a fireball.
Why didn't they all just fly to the twin towers like Tokio?
In lieu of the usual comprehensive commentary for this episode (im tired), i'm just going to say that the characters tones this episode changed a lot, and things seemed to come together very very quickly. Not quite as rapidly as WFM (and certainly not as poorly), but still. I don't think this bodes well for a second cour -- despite masked man saying "we need to observe him for the future".
**particularly with the news about game delay.

Daisy Ogre Alter
i do not like the fisher price color scheme. Old daisy had that fantastic lavender and lime combination.
i'm guessing all we're getting is just daisy orge variants and the mask dude's and then the game protag's
guess the original kyoukai senki season kits shelfwarmed too hard for them to put faith in any airing not gundam series
kyoukaishit doesn't deserve the kit roster it got. What a boring ass show from start to finish.
Wrong, it was cool and action packed, I even bought kits.
Anyone who's built any of the kits understands why it got them. They were engineering R&D tests for future lines & they are really goddamn good kits for it. Bandai are too big of fricking cowards to test stuff on mainline Gundam kits so they just do the same engineering again & again so they use other lines to test new ideas. A lot of the techniques used on them were utilized for kits that came after.
Is that why they were 1/72, instead of 1/100 which would've made their price more reasonable?
1/72 is pretty commonly used for Military Models, so when your mechs aren't ridiculously tall (like Gundams) its a decent scale to use. 1/72 also made the kits right around the same size as most other HGs. 1/100 would make them notably shorter.
At 1/72 they're at 16.7cm, while 18m hgs are usually at 12.5cm, and kyoukai was aimed for a younger demographic so being shorter shouldn't be an issue.
The MAILeS are larger than most of the other mechs in the show. An average UC Grunt is pretty much the exact size of a Brady Hound.
Oh, I see. Thought they were all 12m tall.
Ah, this episode was fun. Again, cliche heaven, but still fun.
I just really like the Cradle Coffins. I want to pilot one already, release the fricking game!
How noble of them to be the first in the fray like that.
Glad we got to see the Range/Dolce redemption arc.
i hate these subs so damn much
You can switch subs, tardo. One of them is normal English.
yeah i'm referring to the ones in the picture, not saying i use them
it makes me angry that they even exist
Bunch of demo footage is coming out of TGS.

Gives a much better idea of how the game actually plays. Looks very loot and stat heavy.
It looks like trash. More Bamco shovelware.
>multiple magi (not stuck with ada/potential further customization)
yay
>all the magi are women
sadge
Yeah that's kinda weird considering they introduced male magus through Mouton and Bob.
>weapons disappear into the either when not in use
not great
>free range pvpve
neato
>gear system is just arms, legs, and body, no sensors or optional parts, etc.
not great
>if there is magus customization it hasn't been shown yet, aside from being able to choose from a premade selection
not great
>only carry 2 weapons at a times, no melee options or body-mounted options shown whatsoever
not great
>storage pack-thing with bombs? shown near the end
potentially good?
>insurance system/can loose money in expeditions
good
All in all, the core gameplay loop, with individual expeditions to the surface that are pvpve and can result in you loosing money if you don't do well seems interesting. But the customization leaves a TON to be desired. I want more magi customization, more suit customization, more weapon customization, everythin
Pretty much what I expected except less magni customization. I thought this was going to be more or less like fatal bullet but giant robots and not sao. I enjoyed that game but it isn't good. Probably going to be mediocre but potentially fun if they don't have absurdly spongy enemies.
I just really hope I can shut my Magus the frick up when the game releases.
I'll go apeshit if I have to hear about a fricking "mezurashi mono" every 5 seconds.
I doubt it, that seems to be a big part of the game.
>official twitter post said the story is "reaching its climax"
I hope they mean climax of the cour, but I think that's cope.
You know what, I don't want to spread the wrong info and I don't speak jap, so here's the post I'm talking about:
https://twitter.com/SYN_noir/status/1704783273090863424
The line that Google Translate says is "The story is reaching its climax":
>物語もいよいよ佳境!
It seems it could also be translated as
>The story is finally in full swing!
So I don't know.
Episode 12 PV:
The climactic episode of this cour. It'll be a good finale
Synduality event at TGS will be today at 12:30 PM/1230 hours in Japan Standard Time. For anyone interested, link below:
TGS event starting now.
Hell yeah
What I learned from TGS:
1. Confirmation of Synduality: Noir season 2.
2. Synduality: Echo of Ada Updates:
a. You can fight someone and when you win, you can find salvage from the wrecked Coffin.
b. New Trailer (it focuses on Amasia's collapse, what may be why Alba is called "Raintight", the beginning of Alba and Ada's relationship, what may be dialogue in between missions in the form of a moving illustrations, and who might be a younger Claudia in a scene where she interacts with Alba).
>1. Confirmation of Synduality: Noir season 2.
Good
Let's get it!
New Exho of Ada trailer now available for our viewing pleasure.
Damn, dude's hair is movin'. It's got a mind of its own.
1 or 2 episodes to go? Anyway, if that's enough for more talk, then
>jap disc server
>its getting a set in union arena, a multi-anime card game
>lots of lottery stuffs inc prize figures
