Take My Scat Away

>Watch picrel expecting it to be a shitty, over the top Top Gun ripoff with awful CG, hilariously bad acting/writing, and abrupt genre changes
>Turns out to be the most kino action movie I've seen since Maverick and really impressed me on nearly every level despite it's obvious poaching from Top Gun Maverick and Rambo 3
You guys should really see it, it blew away my expectations

You stayed through the tropical dance sequence at the end to see the forbidden scene where Rocky says this to him, and then Patty takes off his flightsuit to reveal it's filled with shit?

I did, yes. It's not like I can leave when they're feeding me these kind of visuals.
Unironically we are getting scammed here. Name a single Hollywood film that has FOUR music videos included? You can't because it doesn't exist. I've been listening to the soundtrack since I saw it on Wednesday. I've also disassembled my toilet and threw it in the garbage. I don't need it anymore. I am Indian now.

The music and the way it was incorporated into the film caught me off guard, and ironically felt a lot like the way the original Top Gun incorporated it's music, with a Bollywood twist of course. I like that the scene with the sailboat and Minni at the resort was a sexual fantasy sequence after he hung out of the helicopter waving the flag, I really thought from the trailer that it would be an abrupt genre turn into some moronic Adam Sandler romcom for a thurd of the movie.

In Top Gun they at least show you some dialogue after the volleyball game and there's a transition from them in the elevator together to the Take My Breath Away sex scene. Here they just hard cut dump you right into a nightclub with absolutely no warning and it's never discussed afterwards. It's ok because I will never not enjoy the hooker boots+skirt=exposed thigh outfit. It also gave us what I think is the endgame of pajeet comment sections https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eL2vQyP6DQE

I laughed when Rocky walked in at that scene. It'd be like if the curmudgeonly Admiral in Top Gun walked in and started raucously belting it out with Maverick and the other pilots at the bar when he was pitching woo to McGillis.
              >Hello guys... I am Ashoka. I am a Sri Lankan citizen. I watched this movie today (26/01/2024) at the New Imperial Cinema in Kurunegala, Sri Lanka. The movie is so great that in the last fight scene, I couldn't even imagine if this is a Bollywood movie or a Hollywood movie. Really great movie. Blessings to all.....!
He seems very happy. Do Sri Lankans like India or is that novel/weird there?
              >I watched the movie in 4DX and the seats were moving along with Hrithik's steps. Best dancer.
Is he saying that he got off to the 4DX seats? Lol.
Also, I never realized how similar Bollywood fandoms are to K-Pop/Idol fandoms.

                >here is anil kapoor's contractually obligated screen time
I was at least proud of myself for recognizing him from being in 24 and then going back to India to be Jack Bauer in their 24 adaptation. I guess that really was a long time ago if he's playing the old experienced guy supporting role now.

From what I've gathered all movies are like this regarding Pakistan being an evil cartoon mustache twirling villain and they're sick of it. It's like how Marvel movies aren't doing well anymore here.

        Anonymous

        >all movies are like this regarding Pakistan being an evil cartoon mustache twirling villain
I think it's fricking hilarious frankly and it reminds me a lot of American movies about the Russians during the Cold War or Chinese movies about Americans.

          Anonymous

The Top Gun movies never named Russia and Iran, despite how obvious it was them. Rocky 4 ends with Rocky announcing the Cold War is over and they're all friends now. Even Rambo 2 and 3 kind of showed the Soviets as soldiers just doing what you'd expect of any adversary.
But here, the Gigachad Hero of Hindustan is beating the Pakistani jihadist to a pulp in a barn shouting INDIA OCCUPIED PAKISTAN at him in between punches. To us that level of nationalism is sort of unusual but I guess that's just what they get every time in between the song and dance scenes.

            >To us that level of nationalism is sort of unusual
Oh for sure. It's hilarious to me and was a major reason I went to see it in the first place. It's Team America World Police level shit.

Team America World Police was meant to be a satire. This Indian turd movie you are shilling takes itself seriously though.

I thought Team America sucked anyway, it was marginally watchable. I'd give it a 4.5 out of 10.

Pleasantly surprised about what? Are you paid to advertise that crap movie?

Even the trailer couldn't hide that it sucked and that is the whole purpose of a trailer.

Instead watch 2019's Uri Surgical Strike. Despite being an Indian film, it is actually one of the best action war related movies that I ever saw. After I saw that I tried to watch other Indian movies back when Cinepolis in Parsipanny was in business. But almost all the other Indian movies I saw were hot garbage and couldn't touch Uri.

I think the problem is you're approaching this movie like it's a serious war movie instead of an over-the-top Cold War style action movie. Nobody in the U.S takes Top Guns or Rambos seriously as war movies, but as ridiculous action movies they are top-tier, much like this to a lesser extent. It's a type of movie that just doesn't get made here anymore.

                >Nobody in the U.S takes Top Guns or Rambos seriously as war movies

I actually finally saw the Top Gun for the first time last year. It totally sucked, most the action scenes seemed to be just whatever footage the airforce gave the director and they shoe-horned what stupid action plot they could from it.

The first Rambo was a serious film and it had an anti-war message. The rest was jingoistic propaganda about a lone American special forces defeating an entire Soviet base or base of a Soviet ally.

The problem is that the Pentagon gets script approval rights in any film that uses American military assets and they ruin movies by design.

                Anonymous

Different guy but I would define war movie intended to be taken seriously more like Saving Private Ryan or Black Hawk Down, whereas Rambo 1 was really not a war movie at all and the sequels have devolved into something obviously different than BHD or SPR. A similar distinction in the past would be comparing movies like Kelly's Heroes or Von Ryan's Express which are obviously vehicles for their stars to do movie star action hero things, just amidst a war backdrop, and movies like The Longest Day and A Bridge Too Far are serious war movies.

Don't listen to this Indian manlet. I saw the preview and even from the preview that shitshow bad plot, bad acting, cheap patriotism are apparent.

Instead I would recommend to watch the Indian film Uri Surgical Strike:

I saw it at some theater in Parsippany, NJ and really liked it. But many Indian movies can suck very hard and make something the Fast and Furious movies seem like cinema veritie because it doesn't matter because most the Indian audience is too stupid to care.
