seeing as how you're very loose definition of 'diversity' means minorities existing in any capacity, the show would be unwatchable because 95% of the cast would be gone.
US? >60% white >12% black >6% asian >10% mutt >8% "other" >>(of which 20% are latino)
Maryland? (new births) >40% white >30% black >7% asian >20% latino (any race)
It's mediocre but ok tbh, the LGBT shit is what turns me off, it was fine when they had those witch characters or other older gays but it's weird with the kids now.
Also there's just too many, so it really sticks out.
Without that I'd probably be more inclined to give it a shot again.
It's not sterile, it's just what a diverse society would have to behave like in order to function, always safe and everyone walking on eggshells scared of offending someone.
People in homogenous societies get to build rapport and relax around each other, offend each other in a friendly way to show their guard is down like you would with a best friend, settle into a routine etc, none of which is possible in a diverse society where no one trusts anyone because they're not similar enough and biologically all kinds of red flags are going off and there's an oppression pecking order.
Until JP can call Craig his peanut headed bro and Craig can call him an inbred cracker in return and it's all in good fun, there will be no social harmony.
Things would not be better off in your fucking squidville ethnostate. Also all this PC shit only happened within the last 10 years, arguably we had better race relations and were less divided in general before SJW feminists ruined everything with identity politics
God, banterfags are annoying. Does it ever get exhausting having to have your guard up at all times? Never do anything awkward, never look different, never deviate from the socially accepted template lest you need to catch endless snide remarks about something you can't change, like your peanut head. You should genuine kys, the world would be better off without you
The fact that a show about kids being kids that happen to be diverse is succesful makes this board seethe so much and we get useless threads like this as a result.

you mean before youtubers spent 24/7 telling children nobodies like sarkeesian was the most evil person on earth and taking away your video games before all of them became just as irrelevant themselves
>y-you didnt watch the show
Fuck off. I dont mind black characters the show is just painfully sanitized most of the time and the only endearing characters are typically only side characters that appear for a couple episodes at best >you mean before youtubers spent 24/7 telling children nobodies like sarkeesian was the most evil person on earth and taking away your video games before all of them became just as irrelevant themselves
Feminists like that satkessian cunt absolutely ruined male oriented media and we wouldn't have had all the alt right radicalization if it werent for those dyke cunts and gamergate, we certainly wouldnt have had trump gotten elected if it werent for shit like feminist cunts trying to censor anime tits in games or roastie ghostbusters
Characters like Fag of the Creek are nothing more than attempts to portray African American males in an effeminate and non-threatening manner to white audiences
Well duh, the show was made by two white dudes trying to bankroll off of black mc that they had no idea or any knowledge about black people other than whitewash them to make ‘em like they’re white in black person’s body. So rather than allow an actual black person, who would personally put in their perspective on Craig.
Why the hell do twitter dykes even care about divershitty? Why does anyone pretend to care about representation at all? Why do they make such a big deal about it?
This is why I like it. I liked Recess so much, that a watered down Recess is still enjoyable for me.
I hope the Recess reboot is good and still has that prison-vibe artstyle
I don't know why this show makes everyone seethe. It was kind of inoffensive and bland but the various children of the creek kind of reminded me of Recess. I can understand why people would enjoy grounded childhood fantasy.
>Black kid >Doesn't listen to rap >Doesn't play basketball >Doesn't dress baggy clothes
Waaah! I don't understand. They're trying to replace white people!
Why can't we go back to Irwin or Tucker from Danny phantom when they were just the best friends of the white characters!
>Take out all of the diversity and LGBTQ representation.
It has the same amount of "diversity" as any childhood focused shows back then. Difference is the main character is black. I like the show but I think it's going on for wayyyy too long. I don't need another Adventure Time.
Out of those 54 characters, 3 of them are confirmed gay and seems to follow the Maryland statistics
US? >60% white >12% black >6% asian >10% mutt >8% "other" >>(of which 20% are latino)
Maryland? (new births) >40% white >30% black >7% asian >20% latino (any race)

Maryland? (new births) >40% white >30% black >7% asian >20% latino (any race)
There's not a single pair of white straight peer kids who are boy and girl in the show, not even as a couple, they don't even hang out, all the white boys are solo or in male only groups, all the white girls hang out with non-white or non-straight boys only
A show about a whole world of kids doing all manner of adventures. Yet it feels so sterile
>it feels so sterile
Do you actually watch the show? It's a living organism
Is this your way of saying you want edgy jokes? Maybe try Close Enough
It's mediocre but ok tbh, the LGBT shit is what turns me off, it was fine when they had those witch characters or other older gays but it's weird with the kids now.
Also there's just too many, so it really sticks out.
Without that I'd probably be more inclined to give it a shot again.
Well at least you're honest. There's a lot to unpack here,
but just remember that someone's sexual orientation does not define them
I consistently laugh at JP and his absurd comments and antics.
The excitable science nerd is just so goofy and madcap that I start giggling when she appears.
Wildernessa always dunking on Craig gets a chuckle out of me just at how long she's kept it up.
I guess the humor is more situational. Maybe I'm an easy laugh.
I do agree that Clarence is based though
> ...why does this matter?
It's a very common pairing in real life, both for friendship and relationships, while the reverse and other combinations are much rarer. The fact the writers went out of their way to prevent one from appearing on the show when statistically one would happen even by accident, tells you a lot about their mindset and goals.
Anon seemed to have a problem with white males hanging out of there were no girls.
Same thing with the horsegirls, I guess? It wasn't very clear and seemed to be the ramblings of a racist pedo shipper.
Miscegenation is here anon. We're not going back
There's nothing to this show other than its blatant pandering. It's bland and boring as fuck, not to mention that it's ugly as sin. Don't get how can anyone find this show charming in any way, unless you're a pedophile which /toon/ is filled with as we all know.
>being attracted to black shotas
Are there really people out there that are into them at all? I always felt like black kids in general were the last to be abducted off the street for being the less appealing looking by average
Yeah, I think they're undesirable by pedos. Pedos usually prefer feminine looking white boys, I guess black features make them look too adult for their tastes.
I would care about this show no matter what color the characters are.
You gotta be a pretty shallow individual to get upset about black people existing and girls being gay for each other.
And who was that nonbinary guy who ran the daycare? It made sense that the boy who took care of the babies wouldn't be hyper masculine.
This show is kino and comfy and has so much to offer but like all art, it filters plebs.
I used to dislike the use of that word, too. I think it's because all the shows I watched at the time were so comfy that I didn't realize what I had.
This truth was revealed to me when I tried to watch Victor and Valentino.
Maybe I should give it another shot but that show felt like the antithesis of comfy
Also buzzwords exist for a reason lurk more
>painfully grounded and therefore boring show
It's hard to talk about Craig of the Creek with someone who clearly hasn't watched the show.
So much of the show takes place entirely in the collective imaginations of the Creek kids.
Do you remember the floor is lava episode?
I seen JP transform into an automobile and race with an anthropomorphic horse girl.
What about the dog worshiping cult episode?
The one where they build a machine that can connects different universes?
MY GOD THE BOX EPISODES???
Did you think all of that was strictly real or "grounded" in reality?

Engaging, as in like emotionally engaging?
Well Craig actually has some stuff going on with his sister that they have to work through

The action and suspense is pretty good too

Visually great fucking episode
Also another shot I love is a raining episode. Craig, JP, and Kelsey hit a crosswalk button. While the walk sign comes up time stops for them and the crosswalk becomes devoid of rain almost like this magical moment they can traverse a dangerous rainy street with heavy traffic.
It would probably do better, since many people refuse to watch anything with virtue signaling. But ironically, the show would also get cancelled sooner, because it can't use diversity as a shield and inflate its self-importance.
would not surprise me if the defenders on this board of this bland nothing show were entirely made up of people who work on it or people who know people who work on it. it exists, it fills a slot on the network. that's about all that can be said about it.
seeing as how you're very loose definition of 'diversity' means minorities existing in any capacity, the show would be unwatchable because 95% of the cast would be gone.
Everyone is now white and straight is what I meant.
Just racebend them until the demographics of the creek match the proportions of real world demographics (either of the US or Maryland)
US?
>60% white
>12% black
>6% asian
>10% mutt
>8% "other"
>>(of which 20% are latino)
Maryland? (new births)
>40% white
>30% black
>7% asian
>20% latino (any race)
>60% white
That's only because half the fucking planet wants to identify as white at this point.
>you're very loose definition of 'diversity' means minorities existing in any capacity

Basically Clarence? A better show?
Yeah, the gay characters are cringe like in real life

Projection, banter is about acknowledging and normalizing such things, coddlers want everyone to pretend to ignore it which just makes people reserved
You don't counter banter by closing up, you counter it by dishing it back out.
