The real issue is that he makes a completely unnecessary detour through the actual kitchen. If you follow the tracking shot and observe, the entrance he takes has a direct path into the club proper, but he for no apparent reason turns into the kitchen and basically goes in a circle to end up at exactly the same spot, before finally stepping into the club. He could have just continued walking straight and gotten without any distractions.
