I'm not gonna deny that the studios are greedy but 2% of all revenue + the salary they already got from making the movie is a pretty big ask.

That isn't the fault of the actors. Its not as if they got worse at acting so they became less of a draw. The studios focused on investing in franchises because if people feel an obligation to go see the current installment to keep up with the ongoing story then the actual quality of the film is irrelevant. The quality of these franchise films goes down when the studios dont allow the writers and directors to complete their creative vision and interfere to make it what they think will be most profitable based on focus groups / market research / industry trends. Suicide Squad (2016) was a completely different movie but then they saw Guardians of the Galaxy do well and freaked out and cut it up and added a bunch of unnecessary inappropriate needle drops
