Tell me right now, is the first episode of this show the standard or the exception? Ive never seen the show before and the first episode was fantastic. Story, atmosphere, spooks, pacing, directing and chemistry between characters. If there's 200 more episodes of that quality or similar Ill be very happy.

There's some hit and miss but its high points are really frequent, especially in earlier seasons, so if you liked the pilot, you'll have fairly good time with the series.
Im planning to watch the seasons that were made in the 90's, I'm not really a fan of reboots so I'll pass on the recent seasons. I might just make it an October tradition because I cant imagine watching this show outside of this season.
Yes, X-Files is comfy fogkino, check out Twin Peaks as well
New seasons at least watch Familiar from season 11 it's a legitimate 10/10 episode. Weremonster one from 10 is very good too and the mandela effect one from 11 is a great comedy episode once you've watched the early seasons. Rest is mostly skip I think.
Agree with those episodes. Also as much as they dropped the ball with the revival and the dogshit mythology retcon, at least I still enjoy the Mulder/Scully scenes. Fangirls were pissed when it was revealed that they broke up sometime after the 2nd movie, but I think it made sense and it was nice seeing them fall in love again.
>reboots
it's not a "reboot" but a direct continuation of the original series set decades after with an older cast only one person doesn't get brought back but he's mentioned at length!
enjoy the ride OP series is great
>a direct continuation of the original series set decades after with an older cast
Frick yourself, it was a soft reboot. Dishonest reddit Black person.
it's not a reboot, turboautist, it references older episodes directly
A lot of retconning went on. You were either too dumb to notice or you're a dishonest piece of shit, so which is it?
nobody cares
still not a reboot, or "soft reboot", cope
Please watch the entire series in order including new stuff.
>including new stuff.
You deserve to be publicly executed
episodes vary but i'll happy watch up to season 7
A few Monster of the Week episodes are weak and the mythology starts to peter out in season 5, but you have at least six seasons of solid, comfy kino ahead of you. Especially the atmosphere, it's constantly top notch until they move production from British Columbia to LA, after season 5.
>pressing her mouth onto him so much that the tip of her tongue is flat against her bottom lip
What did she mean by this?
They have carnal knowledge of each other for sure.
Niiiiice
>Duchovny is a sex addict and was not in recovery during the shooting of the series
>all those sexually charged outtakes, like where they pretend to frick in the elevator, or "Mulder? Suck my dick"
>Anderson a hot minx at her 90s/2000s peak
This board is full of porn addicts who have permanent sex goggles on, but in this one case I believe it.
It's no secret, you homosexuals ruin every thread though. Make a thread on /s/ for fricks sake. God knows they could use some good content.
First five seasons are certified kino.
the atmosphere changes a lot because they changed filming locations and it becomes less comfy. it's still good tho
Exception. Absolute exception.
>because they changed filming locations
Yeah and the revolving door selection of writer/director/producers had nothing to do with that!
much less so than moving the show to a new location did, reddit wiener sucker.
Reminder this show never named the israelite
They played it like he was wrong and stupid.
Except he was right and the government really fricked up and caused his wife's death.
His remarks against israelites weren't portrayed as accurate or enlightened.
I like how Vince just cast a bunch of actors for his stuff based on his X-Files episodes.
Are you ever going to take his wiener out of your mouth?
Wanna share bud?
Post the pamphlet
gillian's musky mommy armpits!
>ywn show off your preadolescent boner to mommy Gillian
Why even live
>mommy Gillian
Just have a nice day
Make me, homosexual.
There's nothing wrong with being attracted to women, but your
>lmao me frick mommy xd oh yeah bro me love mummy puts lol
shit makes you look like a fricking underage virgin
GOAT
Pretty fun episode.
I just started watching it too and it's getting kind of boring by about 15 episodes in. The overarching plot is handed out piecemeal, some episodes have nothing at all and are just an excuse to tell some hackneyed one-off story that has been told 1000 times already except this time with FBI agents involved. Twin Peaks mogs this show.
more the standard than not
Learn to embrace the monster of the week episodes. Even if they don't scratch the itch for progressing the overarching story, they very often give little bits of character development, in addition to just being fun. Obviously there are some misses or dated ones but for me, X Files MOTW episodes are peak comfy that I can rewatch on any given day
They're comfy and okay but it's annoying having to watch several weeks worth to get one tiny tidbit of plot advancement during a first time watch.
I just started watching the show this week, it's great bro..I already have the biggest crush for Scully I want her so bad.
The first 5 seasons and the first film are fantastic. Realize its episodic TV so there are a few clunkers but the plot threads that wind through keep the show followable for a moderm audience. For me it falls off after season 6, star leaves, they film in sunny boring LA, ruined the entire vibe.
