It's a good movie guys. Sam steals the show, young Kyle is good and Christian does the job as John Connor deep in the fight, even though Sam overshadows him.

I think you are right. An actor doesn't have to jump from franchise to franchise to be considered huge. One is enough. Probably the guy was content with the fame and cash and laid low after it.

Me too, but I watched back then and I was bitter after 3. I feel that I like it more now after the a.i. boom. Feels like this movie is aging gracefully because of the subject.

it was almost like they did a part 2 of the trilogy first. they should've done a smaller scale movie to get people used to the characters instead it's just bale yelling like batman and worthington being worthless hehe and the plot is just moronic.

The worst one. Bottom of the barrel. Of all Terminator sequels, this one had the most actual potential and they fricked it up with McG and Bale.
It's just so fricking boring. Drab, ugly cinematography. Utterly predictable. No suspense. Never gets going. Never kicks in.

This movie is awful but it’s the only semi-watchable Terminator sequel besides 2. T1&2 are basically 10/10, Salvation is 5/10 if we’re being extremely generous and the other sequels are 2/10 tops

T3 is only a pale imitation of T2, but still head and shoulders above this slop.
T3 pisses and shits all over Salvation. T3 had some memorable scenes, Salvation had zero.

The Terminator designs and effects were decent but the story, characters and the look of the movie were all shit. A quarter of the scenes were shot in fricking pitch black
bale's decision to play connor as some sort of type-a navy seal when he wasn't like that in any of the other movies made no sense. and he's already in charge in salvation so there's no reason for him to be running around fistfighting terminators himself.
I think they were doing this version of John. Way deep in the fight, being so long out there he became a straight man, military officer.
yeah I am soooo annoyed that Bale did the most kino portrayal of JC in any of the terminator movies
