why are piltos so stupid
imagine flying in a turboprop passenger plane
Propfans are kino
>NASA
Do those morons know propellers don’t work in space?
Musk said you need propulsion in space. You need to shit something out, so it can propell you forward. But I remember seeing art about satellites deploying big sunscreen sails. I always assumed sunlight or any light, could be translated into forward propulsion.
>it says NASA so it must be used in space
>calls others moronic
comical
>National Aeronautics and Space Administration
>National American Space Agency
Idiot
>Implying NASA isn't lying about there being no air in space
>PULL SIDEWAYS
>PULL UP
>PULL UP
So fricking ominous.
Ever wonder why you don't see Pan Am planes around these days? Yeah
but he wasn't a pan am pilot moron
I know that MORON
The other plane on the runway that he gaan'd into was a Pan Am plane. GOD YOU'RE SO STUPID
based moron
HE CRASHED INTO A PAN AM PLANE. THAT IS THE JOKE. HE WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR DESTROYING PAN AM AIRCRAFT
Is moron seethe always this exquisite?
I'm not SEETHING I'm just upset no one gets the joke
By the way, I'm a big deal on Cinemaphile. I've been the catalyst behind many of the hot memes of the decade. No one appreciates who I am or the sacrifices I have made for this board, Cinemaphile - Television & Film. I deserve more respect than this
JigC? I'm a big fan. Can I get your autograph?
Ever get yer post in a banner?
I think not
i got it anon
i got it immediately
Because Pan Am ceased operations in 1991, 14 years after that incident

I've been on 13 flights up until now and I never want to fly again after watching 3000+ aircraft crash investigations. I didn't have a fear of flying beforehand.
Dying in an air disaster isn't such a bad way to go is it? More or less the chance of surviving is near zero with a quick death, and basically none of it is your fault so it's sympathetic. Plus anyone who cares about you gets paid.
All death that aint falling asleep in bed sucks.
Yes it is. You are in a narrow tube with maybe the worst people to die with. All screaming and there is little you can do to shape your fate. And if there is a chance, those 300 people will be obstacles in your slight path
I don't think I'd mind death by airliner crash except for two things
(1) idiots will be screaming the whole time which would be annoying
(2) if I'm in a plane chances are I'm traveling with my wife and children and all of us dying would be really lame.
If I was rich I would fly charter and never let all my children on the same plane.
With all the flights that happen on a daily basis it should have the opposite effect
have you ever seen a car crash idiot?
I don’t have a license
underage loser detected
you don't have a pilot license either
It's probably a smart move with Boeing hiring more and more moronic pajeets to make parts and write software for them
>Now planes are getting unauthorized parts from a supplier from the UK that gets its parts from China
It's basically playing Russian roulette
I watched that happen live 8 years ago
are you taiwanese? hows it there?
>the crossover we didn't deserve

>tfw pilot
>tfw nearly killed myself and two friends due to a stupid mistake
>it wouldn't have been remembered by anyone but our families
There's really not much to say other than pilots learn, adapt and grow from their experience
Tell that to Harrison Ford.
Are you talking about yourself or bumping your thread
story
Myself. It's not much of a story, we'd flown into a small airport in the middle of a forest, spent the day in town and were heading out. Procedures for this airport recommend taking off to the south, but today the winds were out of the north. Being a novice pilot (about 75hrs at this point) I had never done a tailwind takeoff, so elected to stick with what I knew and do a normal headwind takeoff.
2,500 feet gets eaten up quick as you're hurtling towards a looming treeline, despite how slowly the airspeed indicator goes up. It seemed certain we'd hit the treetops, and I heard the slightest sound of protest from the stall warning horn as we we're nearly at them. Obviously we cleared them, and in all honesty there probably was a healthy gap, but at the moment it felt like inches.
Anyways, that's my stupid story I bring up in aviation disaster threads for (You)s.
It's more the perception of that than anything. You're really only getting your license pulled if you've got a medical disqualification or deliberately and knowingly break the rules
Steve Wozniak made it sound like accidents like that are used to be a common occurrence in his group of rich nerd friends.
Don't know much about him, but from what I can read he was an idiot who crashed a plane he wasn't certified in
>PROBABLE CAUSE(S)
>PILOT IN COMMAND - PREMATURE LIFT-OFF
>FACTOR(S)
>PILOT IN COMMAND - LACK OF FAMILIARITY WITH AIRCRAFT
>MISCELLANEOUS - UNQUALIFIED PERSON OPERATED AIRCRAFT
>REMARKS- NOT CERTD HI PERF ACFT
If you listen to Wozniak in interviews he seems like the type of person who can concentrate on singular things and perceive & solve them very well but when you have a bunch of different changing parameters to work with at the same time it just overloads him
Isn't there something in the pilot world called a "50 hour special" or something like that? It like there is a spike in incidents at a certain level of experience.
Not sure, but my instructor once said the only thing more dangerous than a 30 hour solo student is a 300 hour commercial
I thought once you fricked up once doing something stupid the FAA took away your license and that's why some of these moron pilots would rather kill hundreds and themselves than call out mayday.
OUT OF MY FRICKING WAY PANAM SHITS

>ho lee fuk
i wonder how much Gs can a plane like dc9 take... do passenger jets have a computer restriction on how much Gs they can pull before they automatically ease off the controls? this here feels like they were so close to breaking the plane apart
Fly by wire planes do in their default settings
Qrd?
they didn't fly too good
You flyboys crack me up!
I only come to these threads to post Sky King.
Fly high, Sky King
