Absolutely this, I neglected Cinemaphile in favor of Cinemaphile from 2014-2020 and when I went back recently I realized how good the board speed is and how it reminds me of the good old days, even a no traffic thread can stay in pages 7-10 for hours without bumping and eventually survive and get traction, whereas on Cinemaphile and Cinemaphile if your thread isn't incendiary ragebait garbage it WILL die in 5 minutes without bumps, the speed makes it almost Twitch chat tier and it's all due to Cinemaphile's strict moderation.

A) They're very different board cultures. Cinemaphile is all about self-indulging in escapism and cutesy things. And as such, they're very sensitive people. Cinemaphile is different.
B) To me, Cinemaphile has always been more of a ribbing board than a 'culture'. Trying to have a culture here is like making a house of cards and another stranger come in and smash it to pieces with a big cheeky smile on his face. Cinemaphile is about trolling, tongue-in-cheek culture where nobody take anything seriously, which is fine on its own.
