Man modern DC ruined this character. Her design sucks, her motivations are warped, she's gay for no reason. I just lost all interest in modern poison ivy. Bad enough they ruined Harley but they had to drag Ivy down with her.
This is why I liked the idea that Cinemaphile had about her being a college or university lecturer that grooms some of her students in to an eco-terrorist cell.
I mean, why can't she have a more nuanced view of environmentalism than PLANTS GOOD if she's allegedly an intelligent character?
There was that storyline where she decides to go straight and joins some huge R&D company with her biochemistry credentials, and she just kills it. Ivy (and Freeze) at this point should just be retired as villains and become morally dubious supporting characters or something.
