One Piece anime is extremely low quality, so in this case it would be welcome.
I recommended it to a friend and before the end of the first season I had to guide him away from a terrible filler arc that takes up 11 episodes and comes right before the crew enters the Grand Line. The event the entire season was building towards was shoved in the back half of the last episode of a stroyline that doesn't matter. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. The low quality animation and dreadful pacing are another matter.

Is this going to be legitimate high budget adaptation of the manga? Seems kind of weird because the anime mostly adapts the style of the manga even if the first 400 episodes, or so, are kind of rough to watch, I wouldnt' think they would remake the entire show just for that. I hope this isn't going to be another Trigun Stampede fiasco. They completely fricked up the entire tone of both the anime and manga with that 3D/2D abomination. I could get behind this if they were going to streamline some of the arcs, because there is a ton of fluff even in the official arcs, not to mention the anime filler episodes which could be cut entirely.
