If you touch the hand and say talk to me, you see a dead person, but its also eurphoric, its used as a party trick until it goes wrong and the brother of the main characters friend has a bad spirit actively tries to kill him and the group who tried it tries to figure out how to reverse it before the main character realizes the only way to save the kid is suicide and the ending is the main character being dead but summoned by the hand because it got moved somewhere else and they are now being summoned by the dead people hand !")

Oh. That sounds by the numbers, doesn't really warrant a "holy shit that ending" response

          >suicide
What homie? The ending was she finally realised she was being tricked but before she could stop her foster sister pushed her in front of a car and killed her.

Think you misinterpreted the last bit(but could just be a different interpretation tbf).

It’s made clear that it’s just time, and not suicide, that the kids needs before the spirit leaves him. The suicide/death element is all just manipulation to trap people in that hellish limbo afterlife.

Fair point, my assumption was she threw herself onto the road to save the kid. If anything the fact its not that is more horrifying

She wasn’t pushed by anyone, woulda have made no sense plot wise.

I thought it was pretty obvious the girl pushed her to save her brother

Decided I’d watch the scene again.

It’s only really a split second, to me it looks more like her friend is trying to pull her back after running down the hill but it could be seen as a push too.

Like most indie horror movies, this probably would’ve been better as an hour-long Tales From the Crypt episode rather than a full length 90 minutes. It definitely starts to drag a bit.

Ending was kinda whatever. For me the kino peaked when shit first started going wrong.
The film blended that line between feeling like real life and introducing something that felt paranormal pretty well.

Legitimately cringe take, you’re so brainrotted you actually will dodge a good film because you’re more scared of black women than disembodied hands that possess people.

It's a perfectly legitimate knee-jerk reaction and the entertainment industry is 100% to blame for it. Instead of actually helping the communities they claim to support, they've actually managed to program people into developing a severe aversion to the slightest hint of diversity. I'm one of those people. Now ask me if I have a problem with black women in entertainment before 2008.

This movie was better than I thought it was gonna be, but I wish it was an actual horror movie instead of a "why drugs and overdosing is bad, but with GHOSTS" movie. If I wanted that I would've watched Requiem for a Dream.

It was fine. Can't remember the ending completely which speaks on how much impact it made on me.

Now, this other shit, was completely forgettable and by-the-numbers slop. I don't know why these guys made a video completely about it. Every time i follow their recommendations in any of their "Mike & Jay..." series i end up disappointed.

    >Red Rocket: awful
    >The Kid Detective: terrible
    >Clovehitch Killer: Boring

I was about to post this. Over the years I went from watching their recommendations, to having a mixed opinion to outright discarding anything they like. The last straw was "Bodies". Sci fi, supernatural, horror mystery in London with time travelling shenanigans.
      >first episode, first scene
      >paki woman, who is an ace detective is also part of the antiriot division despite weighting 50 kg
      >all brown police force get in a swat van
      >strawman white supremacist riots
      >they have a full on templar on horseback
      >immediate finger wagging speech about muh inmigrants
      >white supremacist are under your bed!!! But also they are incompetent and dumb
      >us browns are the real british
And I turned it off right away. Sorry tv, my bullshit radar was just off the charts. I could drone on and on about how insulting it was but I decided to just call it what it is, another piece of propaganda for bugmen
