fair assessment. I used to plug this show to my circle anytime I got a chance looking back I can see why a lot of them never talked back about. most eps are just a convoluted mess of obtuse storytelling really
No it's one of the worst seasons by far. Only 2 EPs have tech. The Scottish one has one of the most atrocious nigs ever. Just ugly af. Feels like they soent all the budget on actors that if anything distract from the narrative
Oh it's the girl from Industry! She's good in that.
I watched the last one first cos the way netflix displays them. It was okay, I'm glad they shifted from sci-fi dystopia, the tech well was tapped dry. Hence the missteps in the more recent Netflix episodes
no its all just lé horror stories now. But with some forced diversity. 1 episode is about a paki girl killing lé racist tory future nazi speaker with a black afro demon. Which the paki summoned by stealing a from her boss some ancient rune.
don't get why they're even using the black mirror IP at this point, 60% of this season isn't even scifi
What the frick was the werewolf shit? Like actually what was that.
the creators of the show are not obligated to make every episode set in a futuristic tech-based dystopic world just because you have gotten used to the majority of episodes being that way.
there's literally no difference between scifi and fantasy, it's just a different lick of paint. if all the magic episodes just had a magic computer chip or ended with "it was all a magic VR pill" you would've eaten this shit up. they even allure to it in the first episode calling the quantum computer "basically magic"

1 lé paparazzi is bad... but there is also a werewolf killing people.
2 lé netfix show about your own life, but its made by AI
3 your relatives are actually, lé bad people.
4 demon makes girl lé kill
On top of this they just forced some minorities in it and references to racism to the show. Why even call it Black Mirror? They could've just called it lé spooky horror show
When I put on the first episode and I saw that homosexual in the skirt I knew that the entire season was going to be garbage. The astronaut episode was ok at best, 6/10.
I don't think jesse pinkman even said b***h once just godawful
When I put on the first episode and I saw that homosexual in the skirt I knew that the entire season was going to be garbage. The astronaut episode was ok at best, 6/10.
back to back interracial/gay/lesbian couples showcased in one scene for me
most obvious one would be that those "hippies" kill pinkman's family as well, with both of them being stuck in space. I think my ending is the only one that really can be good
Just finished watching the last episode. It's shit. Better than the last season, but shit nonetheless.
Ep1 Probably the best of the bunch. Actually has tech and tries an angle the show hasn't done before that's actually somewhat socially relevant. Nosedives halfway through by banking on star power and resolving its plot in the simplest way possible. The gimmick means nothing. Like Brooker have up halfway through the script.
Ep2 Solid acting and well written characters. Good landscape shots. Waits until the very end to blow its load, but sets nothing up. Ostensibly a commentary on media commodification of misery, but it's literally only the last few minutes. Basic b***h message, too.
Ep3 Shit. Its gimmick isn't anything new. Completely predictable. Does nothing interesting with its characters. Tries to shock the viewers early on for no narrative purpose. If I had to rewrite it, it would be the dudes switching lives without explicitly telling the audience who is in what body every time.
Ep4 Has literally nothing to do with media. Boring Mary Sue does boring shit while dealing with first world problems but still being a Good Person. 90% nothing until a werewolf shows up. Lots of people die due to Mary Sue, but she has plot armor. Garbage.
Ep5 Left-/misc/ revenge fantasy. Has nothing to do with media or technology. Literally propaganda that, in better times, would have been the subject of an episode, not been one itself.
What if yer mum ran on batteries would have been a better episode than any of these.
Actually, I take that back. Striking Vipers was actually somewhat memorable and could be decent if edited down. This season is a giant wienertease with multiple episodes that seem to be building up to something and then just go limp. This is all just pure washing machine TV for midwits.
Yeah, I wouldn't. With episode 3 I stopped seriously watching it, just having it on in the background, skipping ahead, etc. I couldn't have sat through it otherwise. I've never had any doubts about the fact that Brooker is a boomer twat, but it's still hard to believe this is the same show that used to be one of the most original, modern things in television.
>Has literally nothing to do with media. Boring Mary Sue does boring shit while dealing with first world problems but still being a Good Person. 90% nothing until a werewolf shows up. Lots of people die due to Mary Sue, but she has plot armor. Garbage.
it was celebrity worship. how we as a society apparently treat celebrities as monsters and inherently assume the worst when reality the're "just like us."
it's pretty clear the creator and showrunner are obsessed with their fame now hence this episode and him trying to cast as big names every episode as possible.
If that's the case he did a piss poor job of it, especially with trying to make the main girl annoyingly sympathetic and her sympathy being the cause of all those deaths. Is Charlie Brooker legit on drugs? Like another Anon said, it's practically like a different person is writing these episodes. Did he take too much acid or something?
Even episodes 1-3 suck. 2 was a dumb serial killer story that doesn’t even size up to real life true crime.
Episode 3 has a promising concept but isn’t never for anyone who has ever read or watched sci fi. And the beginning stuff with a cult is cheesy and cringe. The ending doesn’t make sense for the antagonist astronaut’s character at all.
And Aaron Paul’s character is dumb to let his name tag ever fall into his partner’s hands again. Aaron Paul is an idiot in that episode.
Honestly episode 3 should have been told from Aaron Paul’s wife’s perspective. It would be interesting if the viewer had to put himself in her shoes and try to sus out which Aaron she’s talking to.
people act like it's this hit or miss show
and it is, but it's like 90% miss, 5% heh alright, 5% hit
fair assessment. I used to plug this show to my circle anytime I got a chance looking back I can see why a lot of them never talked back about. most eps are just a convoluted mess of obtuse storytelling really
it's babby's first sci-horror show
WOT IF YER MOM WOS AN IPAD?
it only gets worse
No it's one of the worst seasons by far. Only 2 EPs have tech. The Scottish one has one of the most atrocious nigs ever. Just ugly af. Feels like they soent all the budget on actors that if anything distract from the narrative
you mean that's how she looks irl? I thought the character had cancer/aids or some shit
Yes. Like for a moment imagine their kids. All I could think that episode
Was so happy when that b***h got bridge to terabithia'd.
Fit right in
Oh it's the girl from Industry! She's good in that.

>I'm glad show isn't doing the thing that made show what it is anymore
I will never understand this attitude.
the creators of the show are not obligated to make every episode set in a futuristic tech-based dystopic world just because you have gotten used to the majority of episodes being that way.
Shut the frick up homosexual.
Yes they are when it's called black mirror because of a phone screen and that's the gimmick you FRICKING homosexual
there's literally no difference between scifi and fantasy, it's just a different lick of paint. if all the magic episodes just had a magic computer chip or ended with "it was all a magic VR pill" you would've eaten this shit up. they even allure to it in the first episode calling the quantum computer "basically magic"
but thats the gimmick of the show, it feels like a different series by the same creators when techno pranoia is not the focus

I forgot about the astronaut episode that is how mediocre it was
I don't think jesse pinkman even said b***h once just godawful
back to back interracial/gay/lesbian couples showcased in one scene for me
they couldve just had Jesse Pinkman get killed by the other astronaut, so that he could LARP as the real husband and shag his wife
Thats the most obvious ending though.
most obvious one would be that those "hippies" kill pinkman's family as well, with both of them being stuck in space. I think my ending is the only one that really can be good
Oh I didn't like it, don't get me wrong. I agree it was mediocre.
the astronaut episode was the worst one, it actually had potential but just did absolutely nothing with the concept
Terrible season. Don't even bother.
>say that we live in a clown world and that society is dying
>show depicts this even down to the minorities
>still shit on it
youre never satisfied
White Christmas is by far the best episode of this show, it's the only one I recommend to people as a one off

Striking Vipers was peak comedy
>Probably the best of the bunch
bleak, won't bother with the rest then

Did they change writers in season 6??
Watch the next two episodes and skip the rest.

nope. downhill from there m8.
No, its the only episode that fullfills the premise of the show.
