The 2010s were a dead decade for almost everything. I get the impression the "culture" in 2010 was everyone trying to copy something else they saw, even the entertainment music and movies/series that came out seemed like they were rough copies and had nothing to build up on due to the poor quality construction
That's because that is what happened, I don't get what you mean by "impression" we just left the decade and it's still the exact same shit only dialed up even more
>the "culture" in 2010 was everyone trying to copy something else they saw
homie that's what we're doing right now. And even anime is falling for it. At this rate it won't be a decade thing, it'll become the point at which historians mark the death of the american empire because without our media we have no passive global influence.
arguably true, I think OP is just biased. The 2010s at least had original stuff.
creators and corps are so lost recently that they are just taking good things from the 2000s and remaking it over and over. It's like the state of the world has put people in such a nostalgia cope that they can't do anything else.
and when these remakes come with no effort or passion it's like regurgitating a meal you already ate, you lose stuff every time it comes back out. when it's done with this little care, I'd much rather a new thing come out than new blood come and ruin the experience of a tale already told.
Nostalgia culture is a cancer. You know the Japanese consider nostalgia to be a sad feeling. They don't like to be nostalgic because they equate it with a sense of loneliness. "You can live in the past but there's nobody there anymore." Meanwhile starting somewhere in 2012 we fell into a "90s kid" memory lane trip which became a full blown meme. Before that there was some reminiscing about the 80's, and I believe the 70's/60's was about where nostalgic entertainment cuts off with disco jokes and the like.
But 90's kid bullshit was the straw that broke the camels back. Instead of learning valuable lessons from our predecessors, we just straight up plagiarized their work. And people were fine with it because lol 90's. Lol nostalgia it's like I'm a kid again haha. We didn't bother taking the time to figure out why/how our superiors succeeded back then. We just took their success and painted over it (badly) and called it our own. And companies realized that's a really fricking cheap and low risk strategy. But it's a limited resource. You're going to run out of shit to regurgitate soon. And by then we'll be all out of people who actually know what the predecessors knew. Dark days ahead.
>Regular Show >Adventure Time >Gravity Falls >Bojack >FiM >Over the Garden Wall >shit
It wasn't a perfect decade but there were some okay cartoons. Dumb frogposter.
All garbage and lmfao an entire decade and you pull out not even ten shows in which you yourself deem as just "okay" damn what a sad state of affairs
I didn't say anything about anime
This was generic run of the mill, just saw the first episode and the show is just too cheaply animated not that I have a problem with lower budget shit this show just feels like nothing
>Regular Show >Adventure Time >Gravity Falls >Bojack >FiM >Over the Garden Wall >shit

I'm sorry some literal who hispanic child/manchild doesn't have Patrician taste, anon, but maybe its your fault for searching for animation recommendations on random people's IMDB

Everything went to shit in 2007/2008
agree. even when I was in middle school at that time I was consciously aware it was becoming shit I just didn't have the words to describe how
I was just ten in July of 07 and I noticed the change in late 07/08 ... early 07 is when the last time I remember the world being good
QRD on the family in the middle?

Regular Show redeems it. I'd be proud to grow up watching that.

Nope
Nope
During the 2000's the golden age of animation
There are good ones...
You are weird op.
You are an edgy boi just to be edgy.
>56 shows
>only counted like 4 black people on all those covers
how did they get away with this
>>only counted like 4 black people on all those covers
Tangled is pure kino so you're WRONG
Not Op but that was princess movie 362347848287243784 which gets boring after a while.
But Tangled was great. It was the last traditional Disney Princess movie. Which also was the first 3D one.
>only season 1
Mickey Mouse is great tho
it's still much better than what kids watch these days and I legitimately enjoyed most of them and think they're pretty good.
Mao Mao was our last chance
when sym-bionic titan died we knew it was already ogre for the entire decade, you don't have to remind us
