Liam's is very cliche/self-aware while Goose's is more Loony Tunes / bit of random.
How do you suppose this will turn out? The videos I've seen Goose make are either long but short on dialog, or big on dialog but short. And this show looks long and big on dialog.
It'll be good I think. Even if the dialog is cringe the visual gags and situations will make up for it.
Goose writes generally better humor more reliably than Liam does, but the gags Liam does are ocassionally pretty funny and clever when not relying on meta / cringe factor.
Liam does better at emotional and horror writing, his directing for creepiness is really good and same goes for tense/emotional moments in his stories. I'm glad Murder Drones started sticking more to that instead.
While Liam does "scary" better, Goose is stronger with the "creepy". Like random encounters with a ghost that permanently erases your memory and emotional connection to your loved ones without you ever realizing it, or a pill that offers you access to unknowable emotions that distort and mangle your bodily form in order to be expressed.
I prefer eldritch cosmic horror to the zany, wacky creepy stuff Gooseworx does, but to each their own. I think Liam does it better with incorporating the horror into the story, the character's struggles feels hopeless - and that helps set up the emotional moments between them which is why I prefer the way Liam does it. Gooseworx's psychological thriller style is interesting but has less purpose behind it.

Twitter are the type of gays to cry thinking ADC will replace MD?n despite it being clear that it's two different teams (with sone overlap like Kevin Temmer) working on either show. ADC doesn't seem nearly as expensive to produce as MD, either - looks a lot more technically simple to produce. I doubt there will be any issues.

Probably shouldn't judge an entire show after only 2 episodes, I recommend you give MD the old 3 episode try. Ep 3 is where the quality starts really shining and it starts picking up the mystery the last 2 episodes laid out so it all starts coming together.

Gooseworx relies a lot on weird, wacky abstract shapes - which is fine, that's her style obviously. However feigning interesting character design by making said designs visually loud as possible isn't really a good thing in my opinion. I think Vicker's designs are excellent, especially for his eldritch monsters.
The way I see it, the garish colors fit the story of characters trapped and tortured for eternity in an unpleasant world of false whimsy. I certainly wouldn't want to be surrounded by colors like that for the rest of my life, especially if it's the least of my problems.

drones? Base, unmodified Worker Drones all look the same. They are mass produced robots created for industrialised labour and servant work. They aren't meant to have individuality. The drones in the show are unique, because the worker drones of Copper 9 have been left alone without humans and developed their own society, and diffrentiate from eachother by mimicing humans with clothing and hair. The disassembly drones are individuals because they used to be Tessa's drones, who would dress them up in main and butler outfits and give them hair - with their personalities tranaferring over to their conversion into Disassembly Drones.
Even despite that, they are very clearly distinguished from eachother by clothing, hairstyle and personality. If you struggle to tell them apart just because their base chassis are the same (as they are robots) then you may actually have low functioning autism. That or you're just not paying attention and are being disingenuous.

Been workshopping an idea for a drawing
Jax (covered in splashes of paint) tells Pomni there was actually one guy who got out, old man Jenkins, and points to a wall that has a convenient tunnel and paint buckets around it. What are the rest of the Glitch Studios like? I'm interested in this because I'm a Goopwordshead but I don't know any of their other stuff. I watched the first one of that Murder Drones, and the visuals were really stylish and well animated but it was written in a very teenagerish way if that makes sense.
Watch past the first episode of Murder Drones, it's just written that way for the pilot as a setup for what's to come. It may seem like Robo-space-Twilight but by the second episode it becomes clearer something much bigger is going on. I'd say watch Episodes 2 and 3 and decide if you want to stick with it.
Murder Drones switched gears in terms of tone after the pilot, spotlighting more of the horror that was implied or shoved to the side. Also, the animation changed from mocap to the ground-up style of CG animation you see here.
Meta Runner was their first effort at a show, and it definitely shows with the janky animation and sort of awkward character design. But it's also a solid effort with its writing and story (far less of the teenager-ish dialog from Murder Drones), and the visuals improve starting in season 2. It also comes to a decent, satisfying conclusion with season 3.
Sunset Paradise is a cute show, and while the writing seems a bit dull, I will say the finale elevates the whole thing a bit, personally. Since it's made to look like a cel-shaded video game, you'll see a lot of deliberate recycled animation, so make of that what you will. Plus there's the fact that it's a spin-off of the studio's GMOD Mario meme comedy show "SMG4" and stars a pre-established character, so you may suffer a bit of continuity lockout.
Never seen anything about meta runner, but would you say it’s first season is animated worse than Rwbys first season?
I'd say it's animated better than RWBY (apart from the fight scenes), but maybe designed a bit worse. Here's the links of the season 1 and 2 premieres, just to give you an idea from the thumbnails how much better the design gets (don't watch S2 before S1, of course):
I should also mention, the episodic version of season 1 is on the SMG4 channel, while the main Glitch channel has it as a 2 hour movie cut.
Should probably give some plot summaries, too:
Meta Runner is set in a future society that hinges around video games and e-sports. The MC is a "Meta Runner" (a gamer with a performance-boosting cyborg arm) who finds out she can warp her mind into any video game she plays, which catches the eye of the evil corporation that controls the city, and the rebel cell that's out to take the corporation down.
Sunset Paradise is about a vacationing girl who's forced on a crimefighting adventure with an incompetent blueberry boy deputy, facing dangers such as evil potato people, a gang of funk-dancing robots, the shadowy manifestation of her inner demons, and an ex-mafia ice cream man. What the show won't tell you is that the heroine is a Splatoon OC-turned-human (for legal reasons) whose life hit the wall when the Splatfests were canceled, and this vacation is her last effort at avoiding a complete meltdown.
Murder Drones, as you've seen, starts with killer robot vampires sent on behalf of their corporate overlords to wipe out a colony of free-thinking robot workers on a faraway planet. But right as the main heroine worker decides to get back at humanity, she uncovers clues that more horrifying forces are at play, and are slowly turning the heroine into a monster far worse than robot vampires.
As for Digital Circus, Goose says it's a blend of "I Spy" and "I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream" where six people are trapped in a virtual hell modeled after a creepy 90s computer game, where they've been turned into toys for the amusement and self-enlightenment of their demented AI ringmaster.
(Yes, all the protagonists are girls, but they're good characters.)
i had to drop sunset paradise during the pilot because of the police character's voice acting. i have never heard a more grating sound in my entire life
I didn't find him or anyone else that bad voice acting wise. That said Sunset Paradise is easily their weakest show
