Finally watched it.
My only complaint it how much it overexplained and overexposed.
It's as if Courage the Cowardly Dog showed Courage's backstory in the first episode.
Doubt they can keep up the infodump in future episodes. May have been a necessary evil for the pilot so the rest of the show could be undiluted circus pain.
To be fair, Courage was episodic. It just explained itself using the intro every episode instead.
Caine gets a lot of "WOOO SPOOKY COMPUTER MOMENTS" in the first few minutes, which fades into more subtle incompetence afterwards. I hope they stick with the latter and don't use the former as a crutch

IHNMAIMS is a great Circuslike though definitely a different tone. Caine is very much a comedic AM who is acting more out of the need to entertain than the pure undiluted HATE of I Have No Mouth. There are some great laughs in it all the same.
IHNMAIMS takes itself very seriously but can be funny in how it pushes the edginess of just how horrible the characters are to the point where you can't help but laugh at certain cartoonishly fricked up choices.

This doesn't necessarily mean they can't escape the simulation. Only that they would need to hack into robot bodies. The process could be rather traumatic and there wouldn't be much left to return to.

It doesn't have the Carnival theme, instead using a "banal office" thematic similar to the exit sequence of ADC, but the reality warping to frick with you and mocking play-by-play make it feel pretty close. What does creator even look like?
It looks like it's not specific to Digital Circus, but still the most overt there.
Well Goose more explicitly said ADC is a cross between "I Spy" (Most likely I Spy Fun House) and "I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream." But there's no single game that is exactly those two games.
Of course, I was speaking strictly of the Stanley Parable influences which only became obvious once the show came out.
MYTH
Give it time and someone will recreate it in Second Life or VRChat or whatever.
Using all the clues we already have, we can safely assume that Pomni, whose name can be understood as "Partially Omniscient" (back by her placement in the Last Supper-style ending of episode 1) will achieve powers that rival Caine's and use it to unravel the last remaining mysteries of the Digital Circus, thus gaining the ability to manifest a true exit. She will stay behind though, to make sure everyone gets out, but also to help untangle the abstracted members of the circus, leading into season 2, which will consist of Pomni, now the new Ringleader, trying to find out what happened to Abel.

It would be nice, but it'd maybe be a little too nice. What the island absolutely has to have though are Holiday Events. You know how it is, you play the computer game on specific days and certain stuff changes. It opens up the possibility for Halloween/Christmas specials and also explains how they know how much time has passed in a world where time has no meaning.
Like Bully, where the entire world changed overnight for Halloween and Christmas before shifting back to normal.

I thought it just ended awkward. Why would they be on bad terms? Pomni came back to help Ragatha twice, and ultimately succeeded in getting Caine's attention to fix the problem.
She only found Caine by accident. She was trying t escape. She didn't gave two fricks what could happen to the rest of the circus.
Wrong. Pomni ultimately chose to ditch Ragatha and didn't come back for her like she said she would. Hagatha had to drag herself over.
Ragatha literally said "go find Caine" and she left and, while ultimately inadvertently, she found Caine.
Pomni told her that she'd be right back anon. And then when Ragatha drags herself over, she hears Caine talking about an exit and that it leads you out to the void. Pomni was the only one actively trying to leave, its easy to put two and two together.

As it should be. The pilot should always be worse than the rest of the show. If any episodes after are worse than the Pilot, that?xs a big fricking issue. Hopefully the same will apply for ADC, if that's the case it can only get better from here. But there's no point getting hopes too high, there's always the potential for anything to go to shit. Murder Drones is a good example for how Glitch can make something much better by learning from the flaws of the pilot - but it's a different show with a different creator and Liam Vickers undoubtably has a much different creative process to Gooseworx.

Murder Drones isn't a romance focused narrative. Yeah it contains a gradually growing relationship between the mains, but it's hardly the focus. There are some like 5-second long cute scenes between the two in some episodes, some blushing or awkwardness, the only time it's ever the focus is briefly at the end of Ep 4 when N and Uzi talk while falling. And romancr is, again, not really the main object there but mainly their general relationship and sticking together despite their tough situation.
The focus throughout the entire thing is the deeper, high-stakes plot and trying to figure out what's going on.
Ignore anyone jumping at the chance to dump their MD porn folder at the mere mention of the show. It's mediocre at best, written like a bad self-insert fanfic, and unironically tailor-made to appeal to people grew up during the Onceler self-cest era of tumblr.

The Pilot is a lot more rough than the rest of the show and is cringey at times, its age compared to the rest of Glitch's nore polished work afterwards shows a little bit. Bare in mind the MD pilot was back when Glitch was still making Meta Runner and were still quite new to showmaking. After the pilot though, it really picks up into being some edgy eldritch sci-fi kino, it's pretty good.

The titular murder drones killed countless robots before MC girl bumbled into fighting them, turning them into flanderized safe-edgy dorks who get along with all the robots who spent their lives fearing them
The plot is overly drawn out and dramatic and really just amounts to a random fleshhorror virus that takes over machines and makes flesh goo everywhere. It already destroyed Earth.
The jokes aren't funny. The characters aren't likable. The horror-mystery is deadspace with robots, only worse. Some of the action scenes are okay, but they're in that Monty Oum/RWBY style where it's all swoopy camera movement and ridiculous flips doing the majority of the work. And for every moment that feels like it's going somewhere, you'll get a dozen moments of a nameless character going "HUR DUR I'M STUPID AND OBLIVIOUS!" and then dying and it's not even half as charming as they think it is.

In fact they are probably making a deal with another web animator for a third project, if they have 3 sucessful franchises none of the creators will have power over them, none of them will be able to threat them to follow their demands, to give them a bigger share of the profits etc.

Why would it get cancelled? They are doing both, after another. Once Murder Drones episode 8 is done, work will start on ADC episode 2. Once ADC ends after how many episodes (it probably won't be a multiple season kind of show, I imagine it'll only have like 6 or 8 episodes) we sill get to see if Murder Drones gets a second season.
That is, unless Glitch gets big enough from all this newfound popularity and revenue that they are able to get a big enough team to produce both at the same time - which would be pretty great.

Granted though that the first episode had such trite and overused tropes that they may just end up with the exit either never happening or just as Pomni accepts she is stuck there forever they end up going out because someone trips over a button with "Shut Down Circus" written on it.
Frankly I'm ambivalent about this show, on one hand pilots usually are not as good as the actual final product, because in most media you can't really tell how good/bad something is until it comes out, so they may have a chance to change course, on the other hand everything is shit nowadays so why should I expect anything to turn out good?

Yeah, Glitch would logically only be interested if the big studio brought the franchise NOW while no one is sure how big and profitable it will be.
However no big american studio buy franchises that can grow, they will milk franchises that are already big since it's easier and safer, since Glitch is already got their own animation studio and merchandise they will have no reason to sell it after it reach a number huge enough to sustain a fandom for several years.
The only deal Glitch could be interested on would be a illumination movie since that is a market they can acess by themselves, a TV or streaming show would give them less views than youtube so why even bother.

That style of humor sticks around for most of the episodes, except the most recent one which was more plot and action heavy. There's no in-fiction explanation for why all the drones except for Uzi, Doll, and the Murderdrones are all incompetent morons who only care about high school popularity and blurting out some self-aware snarky shit. They're like that so you don't feel anything when they get killed unceremoniously. It never becomes funny.
