Semi-Novel utilization of a concept combined with colorful designs and well executed humor/timing alongside hints of a deeper narrative/more mature concepts sprinkled throughout.
Add in that it also has the support of both Goosework and Gliche's existing fanbases which gave it the momentum needed to hit the mainstream and your here.
Basically its the same way Undertale was given its chance thanks to the pre-existing homestuck fanbase giving it the attention needed to find a bigger audience.
People are starved for content that's even remotely good.
Mainstream big producers have failed spectacularly making anything enjoyable for ages and now the only thing left is indies.

The creator & the studio both have sizable followings, they've been drip feeding trailers and other info for a while, and it's just genuinely of good quality.

I've seen quite a few anons say how they think ADC is probably going to be semi-episodic, with each episode being one of Caine's "adventures" while the B-plot moves the overall story forward. I don't think a fully serialised format like Murder Drones would work here either, so this is most likely the case.

I've been thinking about how the digital circus works from a mechanical standpoint. It's clear that all the cast members entered the circus the same way, from donning a VR headset. Furthermore, Jax said they have been trapped in there for years by the time Pomni entered. That got me thinking, what happened to their bodies? Surely the cast members had friends and family who would notice if they suddenly disappeared. At some point, somebody would have found them and removed the headset themselves from the real world. The headset would have stopped circulating at that point, and nobody else would enter the circus. However, if their body died in the real world the headset would still have stopped circulating. After all, who would willingly put on a VR headset they took off a corpse?
I suspect that the VR headset doesn't transport your mind to the digital realm, but rather makes a copy of it. That's the only way I could see the headset still circulating around and trapping more minds. "Real" Pomni may have put on the VR heaset, thought it didn't work, and then took it off, not realizing a digital copy of her mind is now trapped within the circus. This would also explain why there's no exit. They're copies, they have no physical body to return to. Not only that, but "Abstracting" could be the result of their own code breaking down and becoming corrupted. It's also a horrifying concept to imagine. You're trapped forever, doomed slowly slip further and further into insanity, and the one other person who would care the most (yourself) is blissfully unaware you even exist.

This is really interesting to think about. If Pomni didn't try to find the exit, Caine would have never been found and it would have taken longer for him to come back. But then again, Pomni chose the exit or saving Ragatha, and yet that is how she got Caine to return. She was lucky Caine returned, but not lucky that she didn't find the exit

It's more of an ironic thing (at least I hope people aren't taking it seriously here, it's at least clearly a joke in MD threads) that started as people coming up with their own robots to kill Disassembly Drones, and Boxo was one that kind of stuck because its a moronic box-looking robot so anons jist ran with the shitposting. Stuff like Boxo just randomly showing up, or being Ballin' by dunking on one of the characters in the show. Bare in mind that was back when Glitch was super small and barely had a noticeable viewerbase, it took a full year for Murder Drones to get Glitch a sizeable audience. When the ADC pilot dropped the audience Glitch already had from MD all checked out the pilot and gave it an instant millions of views which kicked off the viral train.

I've seen quite a few anons say how they think ADC is probably going to be semi-episodic, with each episode being one of Caine's "adventures" while the B-plot moves the overall story forward. I don't think a fully serialised format like Murder Drones would work here either, so this is most likely the case.
Didn't Goose say something about going back to work on her own projects once ADC is done - sort of implying ADC will be relatively short-form and not a multiseason affair? I imagine it's only gunna be like 6 or so episodes overall. I don't think they could stretch it for too many episodes with the current premise.

I've been thinking about how the digital circus works from a mechanical standpoint. It's clear that all the cast members entered the circus the same way, from donning a VR headset. Furthermore, Jax said they have been trapped in there for years by the time Pomni entered. That got me thinking, what happened to their bodies? Surely the cast members had friends and family who would notice if they suddenly disappeared. At some point, somebody would have found them and removed the headset themselves from the real world. The headset would have stopped circulating at that point, and nobody else would enter the circus. However, if their body died in the real world the headset would still have stopped circulating. After all, who would willingly put on a VR headset they took off a corpse?
I suspect that the VR headset doesn't transport your mind to the digital realm, but rather makes a copy of it. That's the only way I could see the headset still circulating around and trapping more minds. "Real" Pomni may have put on the VR heaset, thought it didn't work, and then took it off, not realizing a digital copy of her mind is now trapped within the circus. This would also explain why there's no exit. They're copies, they have no physical body to return to. Not only that, but "Abstracting" could be the result of their own code breaking down and becoming corrupted. It's also a horrifying concept to imagine. You're trapped forever, doomed slowly slip further and further into insanity, and the one other person who would care the most (yourself) is blissfully unaware you even exist.

But then again, Pomni chose the exit or saving Ragatha, and yet that is how she got Caine to return. She was lucky Caine returned, but not lucky that she didn't find the exit

It's more of an ironic thing (at least I hope people aren't taking it seriously here, it's at least clearly a joke in MD threads) that started as people coming up with their own robots to kill Disassembly Drones, and Boxo was one that kind of stuck because its a moronic box-looking robot so anons jist ran with the shitposting. Stuff like Boxo just randomly showing up, or being Ballin' by dunking on one of the characters in the show. One of the drawgays from the MD threads drew him here as a TADC avatar, which is literally just Boxo made of cardboard.
