I didn't respond to the first post point by point because it's best summarized as "the tone is slightly different therefore they can't be compared at all." That's also why I posted the apple/orange comparison image because that illustrates my point just fine without quoting every sentence of yours.
Just keep on moving those goalposts, though, we've already come from "nothing in common" to "they're both like Alice in Wonderland but also can't be compared because of small differences in tone and particular functions of characters."

One of Goose's first comments after releasing the first teaser (the TADC game title screen ominously glitching out when the player clicks on "exit") was chuckling at people's assumption it would be a horror series.

Plus there were Tumblr posts where Goose confirmed the "scary" moments in the full show would range from a 1 (not scary at all) to maybe a 6 (moderately creepy) depending on the episode.
