Depends on the renderer. Are you using GPU or CPU and how powerful they are? You can just test it out for one frame and multiply.
Say there is about 24 minutes of actual animation at 30fps and it takes about 20 seconds to render a frame: > that's 10 hours for a minute of animation and 240 hours for the whole thing.
However, you can move around in real time pretty easily if you just remake the scene in unreal engine, easily doable with a decent RTX GPU because of the simplistic models.

I think it's just kinda that it looks and quacks like a duck. It's stylized like kids' media but isn't actually kids' media, like internet horror. It's a cutesy exterior with something more sinister beneath, like internet horror. It's a breakout viral indie project, like lots of internet horror. Maybe some other such traits.
People then either don't actually watch it or just don't bother reevaluating their first impression. Same goes for accusations of lore-/theorybait; nothing suggests that it will be other than some surface-level similarities to actual lorebait fare.
It's clearly a dark comedy, but I think it's silly to pretend there aren't blatant themes of existential horror as well. They're trapped (possibly forever), they've forgotten their old lives, and they're told that if they lose grip of their sanity than they'll become a broken monster like all the others that already lost their minds.

Depends on the renderer. Are you using GPU or CPU and how powerful they are? You can just test it out for one frame and multiply.
Say there is about 24 minutes of actual animation at 30fps and it takes about 20 seconds to render a frame:

>each current Digital Circus denizen represents a former AI character taken over by human consciousness
>abstraction is a character's file corrupting; I'm guessing the void corrupts the files and causes abstraction
>once all character files are corrupted, the cartridge bricks itself and the human "souls" left inside just die
I think it's obvious that everyone used the same cartridge to get into the Digital Circus in the first place. 90s VR headset games wouldn't have any internet or cloud capabilities.
I'm predicting the series ends with Pomni being the last one standing, abstracting, corrupting her character file, and bricking the cartridge. The curse is broken.
That seems very overcomplicated for what doesn't seem to be a lore-heavy series.

I had a huge pile of CD-ROM edutainment games a kid in the 90's and the instant I saw Digital Circus' title screen it brought me back. Vivid memories of the bright and colorful prerendered graphics and loud host characters like Caine.
It's a shame most of the audience isn't old enough to have a personal association with that part of it.
It really is perfect, honestly what got me interested in the first place.
I want a TADC game modeled after those edutainment games so bad.

newbie who only browses MD threads here. What's the story behind jannies hating generals?
Short of it is that a long time ago we had constant homestuck and then later frozen generals, which as is nature with generals tended to get rather cancerous.
Mods eventually decided that generals for anything not currently/recently airing were banworthy based on those shitshows, and following that decision any general thread for anything on hiatus is pruned without remorse, usually with a "since x is on hiatus yadda yadda" warning by mods(you can see these in tbharchive).
Usually you can just have essentially generals by just not putting the word on it and making some blanket question but since jannies are off meds schizos who knows if that changed.

I think people are so used to children’s media themed horror (Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared, Amanda the Adventurer, Poppy’s Playtime) they lumped ADC in automatically.

I think it's just kinda that it looks and quacks like a duck. It's stylized like kids' media but isn't actually kids' media, like internet horror. It's a cutesy exterior with something more sinister beneath, like internet horror. It's a breakout viral indie project, like lots of internet horror. Maybe some other such traits.
People then either don't actually watch it or just don't bother reevaluating their first impression. Same goes for accusations of lore-/theorybait; nothing suggests that it will be other than some surface-level similarities to actual lorebait fare.
It's clearly a dark comedy, but I think it's silly to pretend there aren't blatant themes of existential horror as well. They're trapped (possibly forever), they've forgotten their old lives, and they're told that if they lose grip of their sanity than they'll become a broken monster like all the others that already lost their minds.
It's not like Pomni shrieking manically when she realized that there's no way out is being played up for a joke.

I registered this scene more as her recognizing the area, and then running away from it, running back into the saccharine fantasy world as a form of escape from whatever trauma or negative associations she has with that room (perhaps setting the whole thing up as some form of escapism allegory).
