I think it's because it knows when to take breaks between the jokes, because when all your humor revolves around the zany, you need pauses to process it all. In fact, there were a lot more quiet moments than I was expecting, which is great because it would've been so easy to get a headache if it was just 25 minutes of nonstop nonsense.

I watched Murder Drones after this. The first 2 episodes were good, then it progressively got more incomprehensible. I can't understand what the characters are saying half the time. Is it a feature that humans really don't make sense?
There are literally fricking closed captions / subtitles, turn them on if your hearing and attention span are that bad. The plot isn't that hard to parse.

Rewatch with closed captions on if you have trouble understanding characters like Tessa. I had zero issues understanding what anyone was saying, but that's because I'm a eurogay and used to deciphering accents - I have friends who have watched the show and had trouble understanding Tessa's dialogue, most of them being burgers. My only other advice is to just pay more attention, the show does give you the information you need to put together what's happening but its not shoved in your face or spoonfed or anything. I wouldn't be afraid to just ask anons what's happening if you are confused.
I'm surprised as well. The previews weren't all that exciting to me, so I expected something cringy at best, but the show is legitimately entertaining, and the characters are great. I want to see more. The only criticism is that they should polish up that early CGI look, it's not quite there yet.

I seriously fricking hate the term "MatPat bait". Can a show not just have a complex mystery plot about an eldritch horror? This is just what Liam Vickers likes to write his stories about, all of his previous work has never been considered "MatPat bait" when they all follow similar themes. It's literally just a show that respects the viewers intelligence and practices show don't tell, it's not catering to a specific crowd of autistic obssessed theory-crafters that get everything they analyse wrong due to their heads being too far up their own ass - it's better than that considering the head moron himself MatPat couldn't incorrectly butcher the plot in a way that made even a feasable amount of sense. I really like the plot of this show, I wish more people in general could appreciate a well written complicated lovecraftian story with mysteries, lies, and tragedy without immediately bringing up morons like MatPat.

They're both circus themed Helluva/HH being much less pronounced, though. Jax is pretty much Blitzo, Ragatha is Millie, etc. The settings are both eternal prisons, need I go on?
Eh, I don't necessarily agree. Obviously it's only the pilot, but Jax is less b***hy and angry than Blitzo, while Ragatha is a lot more nervous and less energetic than Millie.

Murder Drones didn't explain shit. Digital Circus overexplains everything. Different issues each has. I'm still curious what the show will be like going forward but I must admit, I'm not sold yet beyond the character designs.
