Its tumblr meets the grim adventures of invader zim
That can be said about Hazbin Hotel. HB is less "eccentric" so to speak, and adding Grim Adventures expressions to Invader Zim style characters makes it a little more unique. The backgrounds of some interiors are top tier. And in general the style is not a masterpiece, but is great looking.
I don't like it. Loona just looks unattractive.
I don't even mind Blitzo being a homosexual, or Loona trying to steal some other b***h's boyfriend. I just wish it was more focused on dark humor and making humans look like the brainless sinners they are, Invader Zim style. And more fricking shooting and action scenes, that's what I came to see after all, a fricking series about hitmen.
it flopped? people don't stop fricking talking about it.
It's a slow-motion train wreck. And maybe Loona was recast or something, as far as anybody knows.
And there's a portion of people on twitter who will defend this show and act like it's a masterpiece no matter how bad the humor, pacing, and character development get. And other people just keep casually watching it for some reason (it certainly can't be because of the writing).
I really think this all stems from the legal battle of not releasing Hazbin hotel. That she started making Helluva boss more of a drama rather than a comedy.
>twitter who will defend this show
It's honestly because gay characters. You can have a character do the worse things but if you reveal they're gay twitter will say the character is deep.
>I really think this all stems from the legal battle of not releasing Hazbin hotel. That she started making Helluva boss more of a drama rather than a comedy.
Never thought about it that way, makes perfect sense.
Viv apparently thinks her characters are accurate depictions of reality. Well, maybe they are if you had the self-indulgent upbringing she had.
I firmly believe she recycled certain episode ideas and plots into Helluva that didn't make it into Hazbin. Because she likely wanted at least 10 episodes for Hazbin season 1, but they reduced it to 8 after some drama where she was being difficult.
>Viv apparently thinks her characters are accurate depictions of reality.
Probably the HB cast is more "realistic" in that way or at least more prepared to partake in drama plots. The error was to take simple characters like the IMP that were conceptualized for episodic comedy and pretend that I would take their affairs, marriages and family disorders seriously when they were presented to me as a joke in the frist place.
>the self-indulgent upbringing she had.
I'm alien to it
>I'm alien to it
The short version is that Vivzie comes from money and all of her connections came from nepotism. Even her big blowup with the original Kesha animation was pushed hard by those marketing agencies you can pay to shill your product in a faux "viral" way. It's like when those Eragon books first came out and everyone was saying how amazing it was for a 17 year old to write a fantasy novel series, when in reality it was thanks to having parents in the industry who forced his Star Wars and LOTR hybrid into popularity.
I see. It was suspicious to me even knowing that she has a long run on the internet that she got a contract to produce an entire season, and fricking Kesha. After all it's difficult for anyone to get far without the right contacts.
i've seen people say this and something about her having rich lawyer parents too before but is there actually any proof?
Well, she does live in a $1.6 million house.
And likely went to an expensive art school.

Vivziepop is pretty good at character design and creating some cute waifus, unfortunately she can't write to save her life.
Poasting in a thread.
Post Millie, please.
I hate everything about these shows and their creator - from a safe distance.
>shotas
Not complaining but, why?
So the marks are the times she dried him up? Wild.
It's awful, the colors are overly bright and don't mesh well, the designs are so shitty it's almost hilarious. The animation is the only saving grace.

Right
>don't mesh well
Wrong
>the designs are so shitty it's almost hilarious
They are too slim and tumblr like but not particularly awful
>The animation is the only saving grace
Not really, most of the time it is the typical static plane where only the characters that are interacting move. And the action scenes make a lot of use of rotating the camera to give the feeling that many things are happening at the same time.
>don't mesh well
Beelzebub
>They are too slim and tumblr like but not particularly awful
I despise almost every design in this show, Blitzo's head reminds me of Roger from American Dad.
>most of the time it is the typical static plane where only the characters that are interacting move.
Isn't that the point? The characters move, the background stays the same
>Beelzebub
Thought you were talking about the backgrounds.
Most of the characters are a combination of black, white and red, blue or pink so is difficult to mess that up. Beelzebub palette is horrible, I agree.
>Isn't that the point? The characters move, the background stays the same
They rarely do things like throwing chairs or making chandeliers fall, that's what I mean
