This show was always just goyslop, there wasn't a minutiae of substance.
Lights up the same parts of the brain as capeshit.

This. I blame all of you for enabling this show to get boosted enough for this shitty franchise to blossom. We could have been rid of this shit after 2 seasons. But no. You just HAD to consume the slop. Frick all of you.

Cinemaphile fricking hates this show, every time i saw it discussed everyone brags about how they don't watch it so i am sure 90% of people here didn't watch it

It was obvious from the beginning this would happen. The comic was written by someone who hates superheroes, the show is written by people who love superheroes but want to poke fun at them.

      >The comic was written by someone who hates superheroes,
How did this nonsense get started? The man wrote like 100 issues of a superhero series. That's longer than most runs on old books like your Spider-Mans and Actions

        Anonymous

He wrote superhero series because those are the only comics that he could get made. What he really wanted to be writing was war comics.

        Anonymous

He wrote mostly 'not capeshit superheroes'. AKA, "they're different because they wear a trenchcoat".
Ennis wouldn't call Hitman a superhero series, nor would he call Hellblazer one. Even if they are superhero comics. Just because he had the characters dress in trenchcoats and wear sunglasses all the tiime.

Frick no. It's a insulting many popular superheroes on every level. If you want homage for superheroes. Watch invincible.

I just hate how Enis & Millar keep getting richer and richer and their projects doing amazing while Morrison who is a superior writer can't get his work adapted and doing well.

      Anonymous

Mostly because those two come up with solid concepts but their own execution of it stinks rotten ass so adaptions have room to do interesting things.

Pretty much this, it's the Steven King phenomenon. A lot of people can't create for shit but are great on iterating and contributing to another work.

Pretty much this, it's the Steven King phenomenon. A lot of people can't create for shit but are great on iterating and contributing to another work.

yep creativity is chaotic and some people are so creative they can come up with really cool concepts but the executions is messy.

Other people are more orderly, incapable to think outside of the box but very good at optimizing and polishing pre established ideas.

Adaptation should always be made by orderly people.

Any mainstream adaptation of Morrison's stories would immediately lose all nuance and would turn out just like Moore's adaptations

Probably but i would like him to be FRICK YOU rich like Millar or Kirkman.

it's almost like he and moore cursed each other. morrison wants and has tried to break into Hollywood but can't, meanwhile moore wants nothing to do with it but his stuff keeps getting adapted

we3 is easily his most adaptable work, but i doubt it'll happen since a lot of it is in gotg3

Same problem as Moore, it's hard to end capeshit on a moment of existential reflection if the people involved aren't talented.

It’s not fair! It should’ve been me suckling the tit of Elizabeth Shue and not that queer Homelander! The injustice of it all. It’s outrageous, it’s unfair! The blonde twat gets to drain the milk from the udders of my goddess? and for what? So she can keep him in line?!? I’ll start robbing bloody banks if it gets me an inch closer to the nourishing nipple nectar of my beloved Shue-Boo. I don’t think I can go on any longer. Not if I must continue being deprived of the mommy milkers I need to survive in this cruel, big-boy world.

Why did they only mention in one scene that Stormfront had a normal human daughter who she loved dearly and was close with all the way until the girl died of Alzheimers

Why add a detail that humanizing to her, and then do nothing with it anyway, when she is always an evil c**t who gets repeatedly btfoed and then dies
