It has Netflix cinematography, everything has a weird blue-green tinge. Could be worse, could have looked like the recent Three Musketeers movie, it looked so brown.
Maybe you should look forward to learning how to read, since you're completely wrong. Everything he does is motivated by his broken heart and when Mercedes realizes who he is she has an extremely emotional reaction.
Sure, it's fundamental to his character, but they don't get together at the end and live happily ever after. He just ships her off to some hole and fricks off with a far superior model.
That's true, they talk about how they're past the point of ever picking up the pieces iirc, I'm just saying they're definitely love interests, it's just a tragic love. If you put yourself in his shoes and the girl you love and are about to spend the rest of your life with winds up (even though ignorant of his crime) with the guy who falsely put you in prison and bears his children, you can understand how on the one hand you'd still have feelings for her strong enough to motivate your revenge, while on the other how she's ruined in your eyes and you can never be interested in her again. It's complicated but it's still ultimately love that drives the story.
>In French, as the original book was.
Based. >No Black folk.
Based. >No girlboss.
Based. >A heteroseuxual romance with two people of the same race.
Based based based.
I read the book twenty years ago so I probably won't watch it, but it's nice to have some non-pozzed media.
I have the 90s Gérard Depardieu one on my hard drive and it's supposed to be good minus a changed happy ending but I tried watched it and all the characters acted like really stupid actors so I stopped
It could easily fit into one movie, there's a lot of filler because it was published serially and authors would try to make the paycheck stretch. The main plotpoints can fit into a film.
2002 adaptation can't be topped. Frick book accuracy. >IF YOU EVER LOVED ME, DON'T ROB ME OF MY HATE! IT'S ALL I HAVE.
The 2002 adaptation transforms a calculating revenge story into the story of a man who cannot escape God's love, whose fury and wrath and scheming dissolves as his sacrifice is at long last rewarded by forces beyond his control. God has chosen him because his cause is just and his suffering has purified him. His enemies lose everything, and he gains everything. Money, power, and love.
Is this the same people who did the Musketeers two part movie? Because that one was very kino, I am absolutely prepared for Count of Monte Cristo over Hollywood trash.
if a girl gave birth to (say, two children) from a guy 1
and then guy 2 impregnates girl, will new children look like guy 2's or there will still be some part of guy 1 present in the looks of children?
Why?
Dumas has other books besides Musketeers and Montecristo, ya know
No, we don't know, and if we don't know, they don't matter
liar
The french can’t make non-cringy movies.

Looking forward to another adaptation that forgets that Mercedes is not supposed to be a love interest.

I concede that I worded it poorly.
All good (you on the left)
How many nogs does it have
I liked the gay (homosexual) anime adaptation.
>entire film plot in the trailer
OK, so now I don't need to see the film, thanks France.
what, you didn't know the plot of a book as old as Shakespeare?
Yeah it isn't good because of some epic twist it's just a very gratifying journey, that's how good stories work
>he doesn't already know the twists of a story literally described as part of the core of Western literature
Is this a burger education?

The Jean Marais version is the only one you need
on god montecristo is a shit boring book
It will suck dick just like any modern/+1000 page novel adaptation.
looks good
nice poster too
>Made by the French
frick the french. literally.
why does she always look she has been crying for hours
I always confuse her for Lili Simmons. I can't be the only one
No, but maybe Lea fatting up helps with that
why are they trying to cram it into one movie, make it 2 it should work

every adaptation skips out on something to make room for some other plot that another one missed
we need Stars My Destination instead
>https://www.imdb.com/name/nm4422007/
That's the Haydée for this adaptation I believe. She seems appropriately pretty.
>Mercedes
Haydee
I approve this and would willingly pay money to watch it when it comes out, if it was in any cinema I could reach.
Mwaaahhhh the French

Kino film.

Boring and ugly, perfect for Netflix.
this is an interesting book/topic
if a girl gave birth to (say, two children) from a guy 1
and then guy 2 impregnates girl, will new children look like guy 2's or there will still be some part of guy 1 present in the looks of children?
now say same girl has a new child with guy 3
Realistically speaking it should be a miniseries to do the scope of the story justice. It's like 3000 pages or something
Of things like teaching his black slave how to smoke hookah and deposting his money with the Rothschilds.
yakapo wasn't black
I hope they keep the correct ending this time and have him run off with his e-girl slave gf
>Alexandre Dumas
By Alexandre Dumb ass?
It doesnt have Black folk? I will watch!
Do you know who is Alexandre Dumas ?
Right Chud ?
Dumas... is a Black person...
A based one that understood that people don't want to read about coons
Looks a little superficial but could be worth a watch
All new movies have these by the numbers trashy shots used completely unironically
bring postmo back
Noirtier was so based. We should all aspire to produce as much seething as he did.
They will never find anyone as cute as him.
Looks good, will watch
