They should've remade The Crow City of Angels.
The original screenplay was surprisingly good. Not as good as the first film, but still worthy of the name. Then the Weinsteins decided to force reshoots and a rewriting of the script, and we got the shit sequel.
I recommend the novelization because it was written based on the original script. Or you can probably just find the original script online.
