If I remember correctly, Disney was in the early stages of Pirates 6 but then just completely dropped him without telling him; I don't think he had a contract set up for 6 yet. WB they were actually in production (don't know if they were at the shooting phase) for Fantastic Beasts 3, then asked him to leave the project, but based on the contract, Depp could've stayed if he wanted. That's why he said he'd never work with Disney again, but is more neutral on WB.

It was shot so weird, too. Photos show that Miller WAS on the set, but the way it was shot it looks like the two of them weren't even in the same spot and each Flash could have been shot separately with doubles.
