So is there any truth to the deleted 21 minutes of the movie? I'm aware there is at least 1 deleted scene, but is there anything that would show anymore of these elites Kubrick wanted to depict.
we will never know. kubrick died 4 months before the release, and he was known to cut and edit his pictures to the very last week. what he showed to cruise, kidman and warner executives was certainly NOT what they released in theaters. what did they trim, cut etc. we will never know and can only speculate. i've read somewhere that, since kubrick passed away, it was sidney pollack who polished the final cut.
tldr, by all parameters EWS should be considered an unfinished stanley kubrick film, there should be a massive asterisk next to it
