We're not anti-intellectualism, we're anti-"midwittism that pretends to be intellectual". Sadly an actual midwit like yourself can't possibly see the difference between these two
Cringe dialogues, but visuals were really cool. Cast was OK, except the useless PR woman and le brilliant Black (not the bespectacled black dude, the other homosexual).
Shit goes a lot more wrong in the book. He accidentally shorts out Pathfinder, and there's a massive duststorm. But then he's saved by a beardrd Robin Williams before getting shot in the head by Marky Mark.
The running gag about listening to bad music was really fricking stupid.
It would’ve actually been funny (but too goofy) if it broke his brain by the end of the film, and he was just constantly responding to conversations with lyrics from shitty songs.
But there’s no pay off, and even Jessica Chastain’s doesn’t understand what he’s doing.

Who remembers The Spirit? Great fricking movie.
This isn't intellectual and none of what you said is true. It's just midwitism that should have died half a century ago.
>science was king
Spoken like a true redditor
A plumber sees a massive burst pipe in a flooding basement
>I'm going to have to plumbing the shit out of this
He will have to plumb that if he wants to get paid. What's your point?
This film was made for DUMMIES.
There’s nothing intelligent about it.
i fricking love science

>At last, I have become The Martian
*sigh*
I lasted a little longer. Checked out when the young black maths genius used the super computer to confirm his calculations.
>I'm going to have to science the shit out of this
Imagine the person who wrote this is now striking for better wages holy frick lmao
Drew Goddard also wrote Daredevil, Buffy, Angel, Cabin in the Woods, Alias, and Lost so it’s pretty much par for the course.
Should we really be calling it Goddardspeak? All this time we’ve been blaming Whedon.
The most disappointing film I've ever seen. I expected something like Dr. Mann from Interstellar in tone, and got reddit.

Books similar, I don't recall him going progressively crazier which would have been fun
Good book anyway
