He basically means that you're wasting your time with such a detailed cosplay of a show that was total garbage.

      Interesting

this is some of my favorite Strong Banter. I still quote parts of it all the time, despite not at all agreeing with the sentiment.
      >Hey, loincloth, please to be putting on more clothes. Ugh.
      >like... five or six more clothes...

      >Oh, what's up, ironic costume? I suppose you think you're cooler than everyone here!
      >Well guess what: YOU'RE ALSO HERE. AT THE COMIC BOOK CONVENTION.

      >Boy, if I ever see another person in a diaper.
      >THEY'VE GOT AXES AND SWORDS?! Man, these cons keep getting better all the time!

It's kinda sad Strong Bad (read: The Brothers Chaps) went soft and doesn't make fun of people like he used to.

whatta you mean he's lost his edge?! why he was on the cover of Have Edge Weekly all last month!

That's not his/their fault, it's their audience's fault. They've completely lost their edge and would try to cancel him/them at the first sign of something offensive.

          Absolutely. This line
          >Oh, hello Rotunda! Your physique certainly merits you wearing that leather bikini and fishnet hose.
Would definitely get them called out for "fat-shaming" overweight cosplayers

I think everyone that would care doesn't know about h*r and everyone that does know wouldn't care. Not like they're making fun of troons or anything.

remember, strong bad is an butthole. thats the shtick. people were smart enough back then to understand this.

I'm pretty sure on multiple occasions on Cinemaphile I've said this to someone who thinks he's jack ramsey and i'm like 'you are also here. on the comics and cartoons board.'

I think maybe I'm just sick of the ironic humor that has pervaded every aspect of the internet.

Just finished the new Steam game, and it's nice to know that Stro- erm, Dangeresque hasn't lost it.

I liked it, but I'm biased towards point-and-clicks. It has finally started including some "remember this?" kind of references though, which I thought it had been good about not doing for a long time.

H*R has always been notorious for self-referencing itself.

But usually they stand on their own. You don't need to know that Homsar originated from a typo in an email to understand the jokes that he's a weirdo.

it's tricky. the Compé era definitely became too self-referential, so they took a break and it came back better.

It's H*R stuff. Despite my earlier comments about SB losing his edge all the new stuff they put out, while a bit self-referential, absolutely still hits.
If you dislike 90's graphic adventure games (I.E. Monkey island-types) you probably won't care for it too much but even if you're neutral on them you'll likely like it.
