Seems to be a lot of fat unfunny women, nonwhites, and queers
majority brown cast
brown people aren’t funny
Damn those are some quirky expressions
The cast
Blood Meridian said it first and it's always true.
>They is four things that will destroy the world: Women, whiskey, money and Black folk.
underrated
*are
lol not one person from this ever went onto do anything of note (this reboot was like 10 years ago, so they careers are prob over by now if they havent made it yet) even OG mad tv had a few people who went on to become stars
Adam Ray is the only one from it I sometimes see in stuff, he played Leno in that Pam & Tommy thing recently, even hes like a D-list comedic actor at best
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adam_Ray_(comedian)
the original mad tv is where careers went to die
Because they didn't have the balls to do what the original Mad TV did.
i remember Bobby Lee saying as much when someone asked him on some podcast at the time why he thought the reboot failed, and Bobby said the only reason people liked the old show was because of how offensive it was, but that they made the new one too PC and didnt push the envelop and was watered down horseshit.
i never heard of this. comedy died in like the 2010s, maybe even earlier.
It was incredibly mediocre. Like painfully mediocre. You can tell everyone on it was a diversity/nepo hire. No one knew how comedy works.
This is like the only skit left on the internet I could find. Everything else as wiped out. I challenge you to laugh once watching this.

Jesus, this is just shilling for that gay capeshit movie. Between the nepo cast, the probably nepo writers room, and this, the whole show is composed of Hollyweird grift.

Some writer. Some israeli nepo hire was paid a salary, potentially 6 figures to write a 4 minute joke of "what if Suicide Prevention people were named Suicide Squad right when the movie of the same name came out"
Wow......just.....wow
It was cute and harmless
No less funny than Stewart or Miss Swan
I don't know what you were expecting
>I don't know what you were expecting
Comedy. It's a comedy sketch show not a cute and harmless show. Holy shit you have no standards.
So you think "look what I can do" or "he look-a like a man" was much funnier than that?
I think Mad TV in general was funnier than that skit yes. There was no jokes there. They clearly were paid by the WB to force a skit to promote a capeshit movie you moron.
I just named two of Mad TVs most well known skits that recurred for years because of how funny people thought they are.
I think you have rose colored glasses and clearly have a political bias in your assessment
>Mad TV a 13 year old show was just two skits
>Mad TV remake only made it 3 months
literal autism
Did you read my post or no?
Your post where you pretend 13 years of a shows run was made up of two skits?
The remake was cancelled after 3 months. It reviewed terribly. I am not playing your cherrypick game. The remake was an objective failure.
I didn't say that. You said that.
I referenced two skits that were clearly stand outs in that 13 year stretch as being examples of quality sketches. The fact that the reboot failed could be for any number of reasons. I don't think based on that one sketch the quality was markedly lower than the original stretch.
>I don't think based on that one sketch the quality was markedly lower than the original stretch.
The fact that it was cancelled after only 3 months and never renewed shows a lot of people agree it was shit
Nah, because the show failing as I said, could by for any number of reasons.
you're one of the people who worked on it, aren't you
This is a bad meme
you could've just said yes
It's not getting any better.
If this is your idea of humor I don't think you are qualified to judge anything
Do you even know what a meme is?
>a cultural item that is spread through imitation, often via the internet, and can take many forms, such as images, videos, GIFs, or phrases
e.g. "you are that person" on Cinemaphile
The show failed because not enough people watched it because it was terrible. The OG show didn't have that issue and went on for over a decade
>The show failed because not enough people watched it because it was terrible.
Or because it wasn't the original cast, or because advertising fell short, or because it was in the wrong time slot, etc. etc.
No a show gets cancelled when the ratings tank and it reviews poorly. Both that happened to this show.
Meanwhile the funny OG show went for 14 seasons because it was better
All of the things I said are reasons ratings might tank. If it was poorly reviewed that's another story.
The reviews tell you why it tanked. Because it wasn't funny.

>political bias
When was politics ever brought up?
Explicitly? It wasn't. Implicitly? Heavily.
Not gonna lie I didn't crack a smile almost the whole way through, but the last punchline with the caller made me laugh. I've seen many funnier commercials though.
i remember watching it, it was unbelievably bad, like imagine modern dogshit SNL but 100 times worse
Mad TV was never good, not even for a single moment in any of the dogshit sketches.
Quincy Jones molested Michael Jackson.
Just look at that cast. MadTV jumpstarted massive careers
>Let's cast unfunny, unappealing people in our comedy show on a visual medium
the original wasn't funny
the reboot had even worse writers.
The original run had an all-timer cast and was still a second rate SNL
Bidengays vote against their own economic interests
she look a like a man
you can't be funny anymore because in order to be funny you have to risk possibly offending someone. that's just the way comedy works. that's actually the way all art works.
people don't want to admit that old Mad TV worked because the stereotypes were pretty accurate
