Now I am convinced of the wb shilling. But how much could they have paid Tom Cruise for that comment? One million?

Half the film’s reported budget. It’s why the CGI looks like a video game.

I doubt he got paid, he will probably get an executive producer role on a future dc project if not even his own movie to direct/star

more like they paid him to not deny their stupid rumor story

They didn't pay him anything, he probably did it as a favor in the industry. They didn't even really have a quote, they just said, he really loved it.

Remember when he was basically promoting Tenet at the time when the pandemic stuff was ending?

there is a video of Tom in a theater during the pandemic watching tenet, I had forgotten.

Big timers like him get paid in favors.

Didn't he have some issue with IMAX screens not being available for MI:Yet Another One? If that window clears up (I think Disneytshit is currently choking up those screens) then that will be the favor he got in return.

Why is Disney clogging up imax screens?

        Anonymous

It's not Disney taking all the screens, it's Christopher Nolan. For some reason they decided to release Mission Impossible like a week before Oppenheimer.

I don't think they thought a slow burn historical drama would do well at all.

            Anonymous

Sure, but Nolan has been "the IMAX guy" for most of his career at this point, they had to know he would have a monopoly on all their screens.

This is why people should hold their horses about Gunn saving DC. He's not gonna be able to micromanage every project. All he can do is come up with some ideas and let the process take its course. With how much creative freedom there is at DC vs Marvel, there's bound to be more flops incoming. If Supergirl reviews badly, it's over, there's not enough brand loyalty with DC for people to show up.

Those are just the selected reviews too. Once the floodgates opens up for respected critics, it will tank into rotten.

    >movie is bad because other films ruined multiverse shit and thus it’s played out even though the flash invented it
Critics aren’t serious people. The film is probably bad but not because the critics half assed a review

He has no integrity. He's a studio yes man who will say and do anything to get his films financed. He's the exact same form of spineless filmmaker as Ridley Scott.

It's weird you bring up ridley scott since him and cameron are two peas in a pod over how badly they've fallen into be paid yes men.

the difference is that cameron has an agenda (muh climate crisis, muh veganism, muh transhumanist propaganda) whereas scott is a journeyman director without an identity.

People aren't going to magically forget that Ezra Miller is a colossal turd of a man, no matter how expensive the CGI is or how flowery and pretentious your reviews for his movie are.
That man is a deranged fricking sociopath that should be laying low in a third-world country after the things he's done.
But then, I suppose everyone in Hollywood is guilty of similar or worse so of course they don't understand.

If God wanted to give the rest of us a treat them He'd drop a flaming asteroid on it.
