the comic, which inspired the cartoon, the comic did so much damage to DC they had to make New 52, and when THAT couldnt fix the damage that had been done, they made DC Rebirth.

The cartoon was fine because it trimmed out a LOT of the fat from that shitshow of a story, but its still the same crappy story wherein Flash is the least interesting character present in his own damn book.

They don't, it's based on only presales which is easily inconsistent because it doesn't account for walk-ups aka people who buy their ticket the day before or day of.
Knowing the amount of boomers who want to see this, the walk-up factor could be significant.
Then what happens after the opening weekend can go anywhere depending on word of mouth, etc. Aquaman and WW were weak openings and went on to do well with stronger legs.
